I asked about other options and he explained various hot water tank options. Chris advised a high-recovery 50-gallon water heater alone would likely meet our needs, but we chose to add a mixing valve for even more available hot water. Jeff explained that company policy requires customers to be informed of service charges before any work is performed and acknowledged that this did not happen in my case. He stated that he addressed the matter with the employee involved to help ensure it does not happen again. Most importantly, Jeff took immediate steps to make the situation right and offered me a full refund. I have since checked my credit card account and the refund is currently pending. While I was extremely disappointed and frustrated by my initial experience, I am equally impressed by the company's willingness to take responsibility, listen to a customer complaint, and take corrective action. Mistakes can happen in any business, but how a company responds to those mistakes speaks volumes about its character. I appreciate Jeff's professionalism and commitment to customer service. Based on the way this matter was resolved, I do not believe the company intends to take advantage of its customers, and I am grateful for their efforts to rectify the situation. The technician used a high-powered snake to unclog a toilet and charged nearly $400 for the service. When I called, I was only informed of a $50 service call fee that would be applied toward any work performed. No one provided an estimate or discussed the potential cost of a simple toilet clog before the work was completed. The technician arrived, assessed the problem, fixed it within minutes, and then left briefly before returning with a tablet showing a bill for almost $400. I was genuinely shocked. Had I been informed of the cost beforehand, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed decision. I feel taken advantage of and believe the pricing was excessive for the service provided. Unfortunately, my lack of knowledge about plumbing costs came at a high price. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sharing my experience so that other consumers can make informed decisions before agreeing to service.

Counting the business owner, three plumbers came today. This time my initial request was to replace two faucets. The plumbers who came to give an estimate a week ago discovered that the cold water valve needed replacing. Notice must be given to building residents 3-4 days in advance of water shutoffs per my HOA rules. A few months after the first time I needed this plumbing company, a contractor working on remodeling my kitchen should have found the valve problem. But since he did not, the silver lining is the quality of the work by this company. I have complete faith that the replacement valve will work perfectly since they installed it. They showed me the plastic valve they replaced and how it would not turn at all. We all liked the faucets I chose for them to install. In the bathroom my glass waterfall faucet has LED lights to indicate cold, warm and hot water. After installing it the plumber showed me a video of the lights working before I went in to try it myself. The kitchen faucet is a Moen which looks nice to start with, and has some great functionality. As the handle is turned for the water the head floats down a little. Then it is possible to select an angle for the head to remain, for example 45 degrees. It will stay in the selected position while the water runs. The owner took a video for himself! Besides the top quality of the work, I appreciate the polite and respectful manners of the owner and all the plumbers.

We had what we thought were two exterior pipes that needed repair. One had burst and the other was halfway knocked off the siding during some past landscaping. When Carlos and his helper showed up they both had on masks and did an evaluation. They soon discovered that the valve knocked halfway off was still working properly and they screwed it back on and adjusted it at no charge. The other pipe was indeed busted. They repaired it and installed a shut off valve switch in my garage so we wouldn't have to go outside in the winter to turn it off! There was no upcharge since they had to cut into the drywall to do the repair. My car was parked about 2 feet from their work area and they were very careful and swept the floor afterwards. They also wore shoe covers the one time they went through the living room to get to the garage. They entered and exited through the garage door then on out, which was respectful and much appreciated. They were very respectful and professional. I'm a stay at home mom and I usually loathe dealing with Comcast guys or service providers but these two were straight to the point without talking to me like a woman or being creepy/awkward. Hopefully my husband and I dont need any future plumbing repairs anytime soon but we'll definitely call Carlos at Rooter Tech again if we do, highly recommend. read more

10/7/21: Woke up this morning for a shower only to find out the water heater quit working. We immediately searched YELP for a reliable plumber. We trust Yelp reviews and settled on "Rooter Tech". They answered their phone politely and said that a tech would be out at our house in about 45 minutes. THAT was surprising as they are located in Tacoma and we are in Yelm. Sure enough, Junior from Rooter Tech arrived and surveyed the problem. The water heater needed replacing and he quoted a price. Further, he recommended certain items that should be replaced along with the new heater. We agreed and he started work right away. He not only replaced the heater and all the suggested replacements, but encouraged us to watch him work. As we watched, he would explain what he was replacing and what it did. He was entirely professional. While he was explaining the process, he never skipped a beat. The entire job was done in about 5 hours or so - including clean up. In all, we were very pleased with the job. We would heartily recommend Rooter Tech to anyone having to replace their water heater. Great job Junior! read more

I wanted an estimate to have a line installed from our refrigerator to the water pipe under the sink so we could use our ice maker. Carlos came to our home to look at what it would involve, he was very professional and explained two options for us without pressuring us which we appreciated. After receiving the estimates we let him know we would like to talk about it, he was very kind, understanding and not rude or pushy like some contractors can be if they feel like their time was wasted. We ultimately decided to put it on hold for the time being, I felt bad and offered to pay him for the trip to our home and he refused my gesture which was very nice of him. The pipes inside my house were completely clogged due to an outside pipe root intrusion. I called Carlos, and he was there in less than 2 hours. He and his crew hydro-jetted my system and then gave me a quote on the outside pipe repair. His quote was $4,000 less than another company's quote for the same repair. He worked with me on the down-payment and got the City permit the next day. He and his crew dug 3-feet and 6-feet deep holes, replaced 2 sections of pipe, and put everything back together looking good in less than 5 hours. I needed a plumber to check out a possible leak. Carlos was recommended by a friend. I was very pleased. He's a friendly guy, very upfront and honest. He wore shoe covers and a face mask when he entered our home. He expained what he needed to do to check for the leak and what it would cost as well as showing me what was going in once he opened a small square in the ceiling. My LEAD PIPE from the STACK to the toilet developed holes from age and leaked. Danny with 47 years experience new how to proceed. He knew how to remove LEAD PIPING from the Joint at and inside the STACK, and then rebuilt the pipe in black 4" PVC up to my NEW toilet FLANGE. CARE : They gave me the better silicone rubber insert into existing STACK joint (thank you) and also gave me the upgraded stainless toilet FLANGE (thank you). I needed this job done delicately and with experience so while digging out the old broken Lead pipe, that my existing STACK would not get damaged or cracked... yikes. Not only would I recommend the business, I am making Rossco my go to for plumbing issues.

They charged almost $2,000 to replace a leaking shower value…read more I approved it over the phone because I was out of town and led to believe the house was going to be damaged unless immediate action was taken. It took 3 hours which translates to about $500-$600/hr. Wow.

The unit was still under warranty, only two years old, so AOSmith decided to replace the unit with a new unit but installation was at our expense. I approved the installation at my expense. The new hybid hot water heater looks great and we're very happy with the installation of the new unit. Rainier, Chad and his assistant, did a wonderful job installing the new unit. It looks exactly like it did before the repair. It looks so nice you can't even tell it was ever replaced. Thank you Chad and Rainier Plumbing & Rooter for a job well done and making sure it was done right. And thank you also for the guidance and advice about what to do if it happens again.

Brandon R. took the time to thoroughly check everything and determined that our elderly hot water tank was finally giving up the ghost. He returned two days later with his colleague (also named Brandon), and together they did a wonderful job with the installation and cleanup. Brandon kept me informed throughout the process, which I really appreciated. Overall, we're very pleased with the service and wouldn't hesitate to call Rainier View Plumbing again or recommend them to others.

I learned of Purdy Plumbing from the man who handle the landscaping for our HOA community. Our…read moreassociation had a couple of septic system field line root issues. We got quotes from two other known Plumbing companies before we knew about Purdy and the first quote was out of sight and the second was only have way out of sight. We contacted our landscaper about a plumbing company and he suggested Purdy. They came out and inspected the situation and found the problem and gave us a quote that was reasonably high, but much more inline with reality. Two technicians came out and dug up the two problem areas and took care of the roots and repaired the breaks in the lines. They then checked with a camera line 100 feet up and 100 feet down the pipe to make sure there were no other breaks. They left the repair sites, pristine. Because they did such a great job and were somewhat affordable, I called them when I needed my tankless water heater serviced and a complete kitchen sink and faucet plumbing redo. One of the same very nice technicians (Richard Sherman) who helped the HOA was the one who arrived to help us. Four hours later the jobs were completed. I had everything out to go under the kitchen sink cabinet to thorough clean and when I opened the doors, it was spotless, just like new. There are 21 other homes in our little community and I plan on letting them know about Purdy Plumbing Company. You can't find a more honest and professional group of people. Ron Carlsen

if there was less stars than this I would choose the option. Owner was rude. plumber that showed up…read more( not on time) had no idea about troubleshooting clogged tub drain. He wanted ti replace the drain for 900$ more after the initial 300$ for showing g up without a snake and poured blue liquid into tub. called another plumber who had everything done for 300. worst company ever.
