A pretty cute hidden gem in Cerritos. Good coffee. The avocado toast was a little too salty. I definitely like the chill vibe. Variety in sizes of tables was nice. But whoever that's in charge of music is amazing. The playlist on the weekend was sooooo good. It was like 90's-00's hip hop and R&B and i stayed here for at least 3 hours. My mom and I were in the area and looking for a local coffee spot. We loved everything we got. My mom got a pour over that was perfectly balanced and their staple banana pudding with decadent cream. I got a lavender latte that was absolutely delicious. The lavender taste was notably present but without compromise the espresso finish. Would definitely return the next time we're in the area. read more

I love the lavender milk tea and strawberry milk tea here plus avocado toast but their ham jalepeno and egg barely had anything in there (like two little slices of jalepeno one thin slice of tiny ham, tiny egg portion). I would not reorder that item. read more

Tea places popping up everywhere. They're all starting to look the same. It's a small place but cute, clean and trendy modern. I ordered the iced matcha green tea latte, avocado toast and the green tea waffle. Not a fan of any of them. I was really disappointed. I usually ask what kind of matcha powder places use but had my kiddo with me so was sort of occupied with her and forgot. No matcha flavor at all, all milk. She didn't even ask if regular milk was ok or if i wanted an alternative, not sure If that was even an option. Avocado toast, I've never had one and wanted to try it to see what the hype was all about. Smashed up avocados on two not very toasted thin pieces of bread for $6 is a bit much. I can make this at home. The bread was very soft and with the avocado on it, made it floppy. The green tea waffle did not have any green tea flavor in it and was soggy. Super disappointing and felt like I walked out of there wasting my money. read more

Their nitro cold brew cofee is bomblicious and avocado toast!!! Dont do the mistake I did by adding sugar/ sweetener to nitro. If you are a nitro cold brew coffee lover/addict, You will ruin the true meaning & flavor of nitro by adding sweetener. I know what not to do now next time I come... The manager or owner is super personable, and then main reason I'm giving this place four stars. It was was our first time and I was asking questions that kept getting super short answers from the cashier. That's why I was super grateful when he manager hopped in. She helped me navigate my way around the short menu and told us what was popular. I got a pumpkin spice latte and avocado toast and my friend got a matcha latte and strawberry/banana toast. My psl was done fast, so was my toast. The psl was great. The toast was actually really good, except I found two hairs in it towards the end. My friends toast was AMAZING. The matcha tea got confused for a waffle, so it took a little while to arrive. It was good, and we got to keep the waffle. Stumbled across this cute, hip cafe on my way to the nail salon. I was craving a good coffee after my camping trip and was kicking myself for not going to Starbucks before heading to my appointment. Low and behold, Roots was next door and I was quite excited. The guy behind the counter was friendly and offered his favorite drink selection. I went with the iced vanilla latte and it's delicious! I spend a lot of time in the area and it's kind of tucked away from most of the traffic, so it's a nice retreat from the rest of the city.

Their coffee was alright too cold for me no many pastries to choose from and their bathroom was very dirty.
