I've never found a burrito that can top the ones they make at Rosa Maria's. My family has been eating here, or at the original San Bernardino location, since I was a kid. The tortillas make all the difference! I have rarely been disappointed by a trip here, though the beans were a little sub-par on a couple of occasions (too dry). The location that started my weekly burrito ritual! I like Rosa Maria's food, but once in a while it can be hit or miss. I regularly go to the location in Redlands, but this day, this location was closer. I deviated from burrito and got a 2 beef taco plate to go. It was really good! Tortillas were crispy and greasy, just fried and hot, just the way I like them from a to -go Mexican place. The beef was well seasoned and cooked thoroughly. Soft, freshly grated cheese (not that powdery stuff) and cold crisp lettuce made it for me in 100 degree heat. I also had to add their in house hot sauce.....it's tradition! The beans and rice on the side were good...I rarely eat them, but these were recently made so I enjoyed the texture more than the flavor (I just add hot sauce and mix it all together). This location is the most friendly to sit down in. They actually have a large enough spot in the Albertson's shopping center so that there are booths and enough wall for cheesy neon murals inside. Air conditioned and clean, good for families. This location gets a bump in stars because they were the first location I went to, the first to be open later and the first to be open on Sundays. The other locations are following to suit, but this was my first and will always hold a sweet spot as long as they keep up the good work! read more

I've been hearing about this place for a very long time and it's ALWAYS crowded when I pass by. (I work near the one in Highland) My co-workers and I decided to try the garbage burrito today for lunch. What a huge, OVERHYPED and OVERPRICED waste of time! For $7.25 (the so-called XL garbage burrito) we got a standard-sized burrito with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, cheese and onions. Still trying to figure out what makes this a GARBAGE BURRITO! I've had garbage burritos over the years and they come with beef, chicken, pork and ALL the extras, including guacamole and sour cream. This burrito was below-average and too spicy for my liking. It didn't help that the person who took my order was rude. They won't get another penny of my money...I'll stick with Cuca's for now! read more

I was fortunate enough to meet the current Maria of Rosa Maria's and have lunch with her and her staff including Nikki and warehouse manager, Bob. As the sauce was running down both of my hands to my wrists and starting to run down my forearms I suggested they make a "Rosa Maria's Bib!" I hope they do. What a great chicken garbage burrito. I've never been to a Rosa Maria's where there wasn't a line. The one in Highland is no exception. The tables are either full or close to it, I gave up on eating there a long time ago. Now I simply order what Gorgeous and I want and take it home. She loves the Chili Relleno Burrito and I love the Bean and Chili Verde Burrito. The host is a happy guy who always gets it right. A place that all the locals love! I've been there before years ago and didn't find it that great. Went back and it was even worse than before. We had to send our food back twice because the cheese enchiladas were not cooked all the way through. The chips were cold and gummy. The staff was rushed with all of the customers, so their "customer service" was lacking. They were a bit on the rude side. The only reason I'm giving this a 1 star is because it was air conditioned. The only thing they got right was my drink. I personally won't be back. However, if you like uncooked cold food, I highly recommend it! read more

Went here for lunch and got the chicken garbage burrito. Decent size with good flavor. They also had the Mexican Cokes in glass bottles which are always a great option. Total was about 8 bucks and served quickly. Would come back if i was in the area. read more

When it comes to burritos, Rosa Marias is definitely one of the best! They have amazing tortillas and hot sauce! Also a huge fan of the shredded beef tacos! I've enjoyed a burrito from Rosa Maria's before, it was my first time eating the food, but today I went in and ate some different food items. The chile relleno was a soggy mess. They put pork on top that was dry, the chile was so over cooked, like it was boiled and soggy, the breading was super thick and soggy. Not good at all. The chicken quesadilla too was a hot soggy mess. I mean who puts watery chicken in a quesadilla? You would think being soaked in water the chicken wouldn't be dry. Wrong! Overall I was not impressed with the food and will not return. And to top off why I won't return, they open at 1030 in the morning. If I can't stop and grab a bite for breakfast then I won't go for lunch or dinner either. read more

Love, love, love their bean and cheese burrito!! We are truly addicted to Rosa Marias! The burritos, tostadas and tacos are all excellent! This is our go-to place when hosting large parties. Their 2-3 ft burritos are perfect for the occasional get together, and everybody loves them! The only downfall is no matter how big a burrito we order, we never seem to have leftovers. lol We have gotten to know some of the staff because of how often we eat here, and everyone is very pleasant. I was tempted to give 5 stars solely based on the chile relleno burrito. That alone gets ten golden stars. It reminds me of the chile relleno of the now-gone Teresa's in Indio (rip best Mexican food ever). The chile is flavorful and the egg very soft and fluffy. The cheese is jack or similar, soft and compliments the egg perfectly. The shredded ppork is not too chunky and comes in a salty,fatty, umani type chile verde sauce. I'm sure it is a heart attack on a plate but I like that they don't cut corners. Their refried beans are pretty decent and I think they use lard...lard makes it better! Their chips are soooo good when fresh and still warm. Their salsas are very nice amd the house hot sauce has a smoky spiciness, better than tapatio or tabasco. The 4 star rating is the garbage burrito's fault. I think I'm going to rosa marias hell for saying this but it was just...ok. my husband and I didn't even finish it. The ingredients were fine and fresh but it just reminded me of taco bell ordel taco's suprem burritos with the beans, meat, cheddar cheese, rice, sour cream.... just too "americanized" and bland for my liking, perhaps. I like that the Highland location has seating, I just wish it were achitecturally possible for outdoor seating as well. read more

I've been going to this place ever since i learned how to walk. Something about their food always makes me want to go back for more. I recommend getting the Bean Rice & Cheese burrito, it sounds simple, but the way they make it is exceptional! Their quesadilla's are pretty good as well. The workers there are nice and the place is clean and well kept. One thing I would like to see is them open a little later, and to possibly stay opened on Sundays too. Very disappointed and Rosa Maria's food and customer service I usually come here for the burritos but today was unsatisfying I ordered my kids the bean n cheese burritos and they were cold the cheese wasn't even melted and when I told the lady at the front register she gave me attitude I'm not coming back to this place anymore and what's with the tea machine always broken. My favorite is their chile relleno burrito, a medium size burrito stuffed full of lean, tasty pork with a great relleno wrapped up inside. Never a disappointment, their quality is consistent. The place is always clean, the staff friendly and the service fast. Just yesterday, I tried their newly introduced relleno soup, and can't recommend it enough. I'm new to the area and I was looking for good Mexican food. I was in the middle of cleaning and unpacking, and was a mess. I did not want to get out of my car so I wanted a drive thru. I called this location thinking I was calling a different location with a drive thru. This location was also located a little farther than I wanted to travel. Fatima who answered my call has got to be one of the friendliest servers I have ever encountered. She knows the menu and described the items in such a way that my mouth was watering in anticipation. She was so welcoming and encouraged me to stop by even though there was no drive thru. She suggested I place my order by phone and it would be ready when I arrived. Fatima actually motivated me to get dressed and drive out ( a little further) to try this place. I was not disappointed. The chile relleno burrito she recommended was the best I have ever had. The chile verde meat was moist and tender and full of flavor. The tortilla tasted homemade. The chicken taco was crispy and not greasy. The chicken was so tasty with just the right amount of spices.
