We went yesterday 3/22/2025 and from the minute we walked in the door to paying the bill and EVERYTHING in between...PHENOMENAL!!! Everything in between was the amazing food. I'm vegan and love to go to restaurants with more choices than a salad. And they had plenty of options. I truly enjoyed the Mushroom entree. Perfect amount of heat and texture. The salsa and guacamole were amazing. My spouse enjoyed her chicken fajitas, which were very well seasoned and portioned plentifully. Ecstatic try the leftovers tonight! Drinks were out of this world. We both had Mango Mules. Next, from the hostess to the wait staff, they all gave sincere and thoughtful customer service. Ask for our awesome server, Olivia. She will show you what loving her job looks like. Perfect timing from ordering to food delivery to the table. The atmosphere/ambience was beautiful (the seating, tables, lighting, clean bathrooms and decor were beautiful. Affordable pricing for all that you get. Was invited by my daughter to go to the Summer Kickoff Cocktail Class. It was a class of 22 people. Once it got started we received a folder with instructions on how to make the drinks at home. We were told about each drink and the items we were going to use to make them. The ambiance and table setting was nice but the space was alittle tight for 22 people. We had chips and salsa to start, then we were allowed to get food from the back table which was bean and cheese empanadas, tuna tacos, fried chicken flautas and guacamole. The food selection was OK. The empanadas were very bland, the tuna tacos is not something a lot of people eat if your not a sushi eater, and the fried chicken flautas tasted more like ground chicken then actual chicken meat. As for the food menu if I had to make a suggestion I would have like to see shrimp tacos rather then sushi tuna tacos. Also shredded chicken or beef birrias tacos. I did enjoy every drink we made and there were three different margaritas. After dinner dessert was churros and chocolate. Overall it was a good class I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I hate to be that guy but the dining experience was horrendous- first time I've ever been here.. Wife took me for my birthday. We made a reservation ended up on wait list to sit outside. Was told wait was 20 mins and provided cell number to be notified when table ready. After 30 mins I went in to check in the wait list and host asked "oh you're still here?" Then proceeded to seat us at the 6 person table that was open the entire 30 minutes. There were other tables open with dirty plates for a few minutes as well. Service: We were seated and our server didn't arrive for 10 mins. They took our order- we ordered tacos and guacamole. First of all, egregious they charge $17 for terrible guacamole (server state they only use avocado as well). After 15 mins we got our guacamole but only the guacamole- no chips! We waited another 10 mins for chips and our drinks. After another 15 minutes our tacos came. In between some server tried to bring us the wrong order and went to every table asking if it was their order. Food: The guacamole was truly terrible. No lemon, cumin, salt, or spice (we asked for spicy). It literally was an avocado mixed with onions and tomatoes. Tacos were sub par at best. Very mediocre and tiny portions. We asked for water and didn't get it for another 10 minutes and we also asked for some hot sauce (cmon tacos need sauce) and after 5 minutes server said "oh someone didn't bring it?" I said no. Tacos already cold by then so wife just finished her tacos and hot sauce never came. Never saw the server again. Overall very bad experience. I was looking around (not that busy at all outside or inside). People looked confused by servers giving wrong orders and drinks. Others looked at each other in ridicule of the service and lack of organization or motivation of the staff. You got unmotivated staff cooking and serving food- what does management think is going to happen.. Suburban Square deserves better. I would not advise anyone to spend their hard earned money here.. read more

I felt the opposite than I expected here: takeout was better than the food when I dined in. The salad stood out in this way the most. For whatever reason, when I dined there, the salad tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. The avocado was mushy and there was a bit too much dressing making it generally soggy. The cheese and bean empanadas were alright, but needed spice - same with the chips and queso. If the food was half the price that it is, I might feel a little better about it. The ambiance is great for a good time and drinks. Unfortunately, the food is sub par for a Mexican restaurant. Got the grilled shrimp tacos on corn tortillas and it was a disappointment. The tortillas were cold and straight out of a bag from the store! Gross. The shrimp were cold and it seemed like a shrimp cocktail sauce was used ! Went for dinner with a larger group a couple weeks ago on a weeknight, so not packed. Cute place, but nearly everything was mediocre. Things that were good: Frozen margs, Table side guac service, The quesatacos. Plantains. Chips and salsa. Our server was overly forgetful. Everyone is human but quite a few times drink requests were repeated twice and we saw him go back and punch it in, so not a back up at the bar. All the other margs were not worth the $17-19 price ticket. More like $10-12 quality. Chicken tacos were dry. They were out of many items and flavors of drinks and didn't alert us until ordered. That seems to be a common problem as I scroll through reviews. Overall the prices are not worth the quality. Maybe good for happy hour or weekday specials. read more

Really enjoyed our dinner on the patio here. We were seated promptly and they brought a water bowl for our dog. We ordered drinks, guac, and some tacos. Guac came out quickly, and even though it said table-side, it wasn't, but maybe that's because it was 8pm? Anyway, it was good, very fresh, but needed more seasoning. Drinks were nice. Didn't blow us away, but were very good. Tacos were great - we had ahi and pork carnitas. Both were enjoyed and had good complimenting flavors throughout. Overall, a cute atmosphere with extremely slow service. Chips with the guac we ordered were stale and the tacos did not have much flavor! The table side guac is made with simple ingredients and the a lot of salt is dumped in! You could make better guac at home. I ordered a side of queso and we were charged the full price of the queso and chips. Mexican fried rice is very spicy and was not enjoyable to eat. Food is very average!! Save your money. read more

What was not impressive was that the three tacos that were served were no bigger than your index finger for about $14. You could eat about 10 of them. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and ambience of the place, but the meal was disappointing. As far as taste, the food was decent but not worth the price. There are lots of places to get less expensive and better tasting Mexican food. The biggest disappointment was the portion sizes! My friend got the ahi tuna tacos (4 for $16), which is listed an entree, and they were bite sized. They should've either been much bigger or listed as an appetizer. I got the pork carnitas tacos and they were bigger, but still on the small side. The frozen margaritas were the highlight of the meal. The service was decent. The wrong drinks were brought to our table twice before getting it right, but overall the waiters/waitresses were nice and food came out fast. read more

I normally frequent their locations in NYC, but I decided to take my sister here for her birthday. The service was good and our server was pleasant. The margaritas were also pretty good. The food was not the best The guacamole lacked flavor or any type of seasoning. The shrimp tacos were horrible, I didnt even finish them. I want to try this location again but I cant afford to have another expensive lackluster meal.... I would only suggest people go to this location for drinks- pass on the food. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. The main food meals were sided order size portions. My husband ordered taco chicken from the main menu. The portions were very small for the price they charged. It was a size portion for a child. I ordered a chopped salad with beans and there were four beans in it and two slices of avocado one was spoiled and should have been caught The portion again was very small and the dressing tasted right out of a bottle. Came in on a Friday night. The ambiance of this place was nice but the food was just awful. We started with the table side guacamole, and the person making it did not even bother to greet us or chat while making the guac. She looked disinterested and mean and it made for an uncomfortable start to our date night. Also, the guac was not seasoned at all - we had to ask for extra salt and pepper just to make it edible. For dinner we both ordered the Birria tacos and they were the worst Birria I've ever had. I've had these tacos at other Rosa's where they were 10x better than at this place. The meat was so dry and the tortillas were so stale I stopped eating because I was afraid I'd chip a tooth. We wanted to order dessert but decided not to because the meal was already ruined.
