    Chile Relleno
    Mo A.

I stopped in at the bar after a round of golf for a couple of drinks and ended up getting a bite to eat as well. The Chispas were refreshing and a great balance of lime juice and tequila. I had the Chile Relleno from a recommendation given by a patron at the bar. It was huge and delicious. Well seasoned chicken and cheese stuffed into a green chile. Chips and salsa were on point as well. The only pain was getting to this restaurant with all the construction on 1604. Getting in and out was not fun.

Delicious is an understatement!! I love this place. The food, the ambiance, the service. Great!

Oh my goodness! What a fantastic dining experience! El Mirasol was recommended to my group by Daniel, the bartender at the Grand Hyatt, who promised that it was worth the Uber. It sure was! We started with the Guac & Rib Eye (my mouth is watering as I write this) with the Chispa Mirasol margaritas. I am not a marg aficionado but I would be if this was the standard offering. Delicious (maybe too much since I had 2). Service was on point, very efficient, we never felt rushed. We weren't sure what the two additional salsas were, but the creamy orange one had a wonderful kick and I wish I could've snuck a gallon of the salsa verde on the plane ride home. I split the Enchiladas a la Mexicana with my friend so we could try the three flavors. The chicken was flavorful and moist; no favorite, all were delicious. We were there on a Sunday during the Great Winter Storm of 2026 but were seated quickly in the delightful dining room. Eventually, it was full as were our tummies!

Disfruté los tacos de Ribeye con una Chispa en El Miraso. El servicio fue excelente. Tuve una cita maravillosa para cenar.

Good: drinks were yummy,,,, get a chispa! my tito Rita was also super good with mango! Not as good: didn't get a server until about 15 minutes of sitting there, pricey for Mexican food that you can get same quality and more authentic at a thousand other places in San Antonio! you are paying for the atmosphere.

Stopped by on a weekday for lunch and it's such a fun place with great atmosphere. It's located in a large shopping center and nestled between restaurants with a fun outdoorsy front. They've got great chips and salsa and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is flavorful, and comparable to most tex-mex places with a slightly more upscale feel. They have a variety of colorful drinks and ample seating. Note that it does get very busy.

Went with a friend here last night because a visit to San Antonio isn't complete without some chicken molé enchiladas. Service was friendly and the food was fresh, and my margarita was banging. It's just a couple notches down on fun environment from the 1604 location. This location is more about the business crowd.

Kudos for accommodating an extra large group of hungry hikers for breakfast : D Our hiking group moderator reserved ahead of time a couple of tables and they were ready for us. Complimentary chips and a mild salsa were table side. I went ahead and asked for some additional spicy salsas- a habanero and a green. Def both better than the mild! I poured most of it over my breakfast tacos lol We ordered some barbacoa breakfast tacos, a pork taco, and a chorizo and egg taco. The barbacoa tacos stood out and I appreciated seeing a thick slice of avocados on them. I'm glad we checked our bill as we were overcharged by almost two bucks on one of our tacos! I'm sure it was a mistake, and thankfully we were able to get it fixed. Breakfast tacos were good, a little pricey though....

Stopped by after work for a few margaritas and a quick bite. Came to el mirasol because of their infamous chispas! I ordered their seltzer chispa which was alright, plain. I wasn't offered to add any flavors but on my second round I got a strawberry chispa which was great. Super yummy! We shared an order of guacamole and chicken quesadillas which were good. Chips and salsa were complimentary. Prices are definitely a bit on the high side. The restaurant was busy on a Friday afternoon so make your way over as soon as you can. Would definitely return. Good vibes, nice people.

    Are there vegetarian options?

I'm not sure how many options there are but I had veggie enchiladas. They were unique as the veggies were julienne cut and a great combination. I had rice & plantains on the side.

Is there a way to make reservations or call ahead?

They only make reservations for large parties.

    Do y'all have happy hour?

They use to on Wednesday before Covid. Unfortunately they do not anymore. I still suggest checking it out.

We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing.
