After taking my dogs to the same groomer for years, I was nervous to try someone new. My dogs are older and taking them to the groomer's had become a stressful experience for them, which prompted me to try having Rose come to my house instead. It turned out to the an amazing experience for me and my dogs. Pros: 1. Rose loves dogs and dogs love Rose. She took time with my dog who's a bit nervous and you can tell he feels comfortable with her. She's friendly with my kids as well and even lets them "help." 2. Grooming - she gave them the haircut I requested and they looked great! 3. She's on time and communicates the week of the appointment and the day before. She responded to my texts promptly. 4. Clean - she cleans up the bathroom after grooming both dogs. 5. Cost - her price is very reasonable considering the time she puts into each dog. Also saving the hassle of taking them somewhere! Wow... I really love Rose. She was excellent. Very friendly and sweet, very gentle, patient, and kind to the doggies. She treated them like they were her own and was not rushed. She truly desired them to be comfortable with her and to not rush things to sacrifice that. I will definitely be setting up routine grooms with her. Both our dogs were very comfortable with her even though it was her first time here. One of our dogs is usually "nippy" during grooms but was so comfortable with Rose and didn't show any signs of anxiety. They both look EXCELLENT and they never seemed stressed at ALL. Thank you, Rose for taking such good care of Carley, our 7 year old rescue Staffie/Aussie. She had never been professionally groomed but I was excited to have her treated for the shedding. I have a 10 year old Pekepoo who has a mortal fear of water since she was a pup. I took her to the groomer once a month, and the scenario was always the same. She would shake with fear. As she got older, her anxiety worsened. I tried different groomers, sedating her... always experiencing the same result. The last time I had her groomed, she was hyperventilating from the moment she realized where she was going. Every groomer said the same thing to me, "She's fine once you leave." The last time I had her groomed she went into shock. I'm lucky I didn't lose her. I finally started calling mobile groomers, eventually getting to Rose. I was so put at ease, so thrilled to hear her tell me that she had a very good relationship with animals. She worked at a groomer, and quit when she couldn't stand to see some of the dogs come in so scared. She was instructed to tell the owners just what I had been hearing all along. "Tell the owner he was fine once they left." She said she could only speak for the groomer for whom she worked, and that she was sure they weren't all like that, but she said the one thing I knew all along... Trust your instinct. When she finally came to my place, the stories she told of finding homes for stray and abandoned dogs were amazing. My dog was happy and comfortable in her care. She took time and showed genuine, loving kindness to my dogs. I had bathed mydog prior to her coming, but next time I will let her do the bathing in my home, where I don't feel like I just dumped and abandoned my dog. I cannot speak highly enough for Rose. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is in the outside, and more importantly, it was obvious my dogs loved her. My recommendation is that if you have a dog who is uncomfortable with grooming, bringing Rose into your home will be the best move you ever make. read more
