I took 5 pairs of pants down down to her. Now mind you they weren't your typical pair.... High end going out on the town clothing & she did them EXACTLY the way I wanted them EXACTLY! Now she it was a bit pricey, "but," one pair was fabric that is hard if even possible to work with the other was leather & she did an AMAZING job on the leather alone it would have been way over my budget. So all & all the price was more than fair. So, let me re neg on the statement about pricing..... This is where I go.... She has my vote. With one pair of pants they didn't look right and she fixed them for me without charge...... By far deserves the 5 stars I'm giving her. Unacceptable - we dropped off a suit on a Thursday to be done by Saturday and paid extra. The woman that runs the shop was closed Saturday with no explanation. She was also closed the Monday as well. Both times the shop was shuttered was during advertised open goes. She just now answered her phone and said she had "personal issues" and that is why the store has been closed. I brought some workout pants to be hemmed here. The lady who greeted me was polite and friendly and knowledgeable. She finished my pants in record time and they were presented pressed and hung and beautiful. Her store is full of handmade scarves in every color imaginable. I had a dress for a party tailored here, she took in the waist and tapered the skirt to match, as well as taking in a probably somewhat complicated lacy turtle neck type of neck. I was very pleased with the work, the dress looked great. It was my first experience getting anything tailored so I cannot compare prices but I felt that the price was very reasonable. When I arrived to pick up my dry cleaning the door was locked and no one was there. A note in the window said "Nancy's cell phone xxx-xxx-xxxx". I called and she said she had to leave to visit a friend who was sick. When I later picked up my dry cleaning she knocked a few dollars off the bill for my trouble which I thought was fair. Another time I went to pick up my alterations 2 days after it was supposed to be done. She showed me the half finished dress and said it's not done yet. I pointed out that she should've had the common courtesy to at least call and let me know that it wasn't done, especially since it was already 2 days overdue. She pointed to the receipt and said "I didn't have your phone number". She didn't write down my phone number and I pointed out that she should've. She said that if I live nearby I could just come back again to pick it up. That's not really the point. A week later I called at 9:00am to confirm that the dress was done. She said "Yes". I said I'd be in that day. When I arrived at 2:15pm the door was locked and no one was there and there was a note in the window that said "Nancy's cell xxx-xxx-xxxx". Sound familiar? I called and she said she was closed for lunch and to return in half an hour. What's the point of leaving your cell phone number if she can't help me while she's gone? I called the shop at 2:50pm and 3:30pm to confirm she returned and no one answered. I finally reached her at 3:45pm. When I arrived I reminded her that I talked to her that morning. She said "Well, I had to take lunch. Everyone has to have lunch. I didn't know what time you were coming". I told her I didn't know she'd be closing for lunch. I explained that it was my 3rd attempt at picking up the dress. I told her I didn't think I should have to pay the $10 for the alterations considering all the trouble. She said "You don't want to pay?! Just take the dress. Don't come back. I don't want to work for you anymore". And then I think she muttered "So cheap". Wow. I wasn't planning on giving her my business again anyway. So much for customer retention. Small businesses can set themselves apart by offering good customer service except in this case. Considering how many dry cleaners are around, I'm sure I can find the same quality work but with actual customer service. read more

The price picture on the Yelp is very inaccurate. On Yelp, the Regular Jacket dry clean price is $5.75, however, when I went to the store, the Jacket dry clean price becomes $12.00 per jacket. I am glad I asked them before I leave the cleaner, otherwise, I have to pay $150.00 for my 15 jackets. read more

i've been going to rose cleaners for many years now. Rose was the original owner and she was the BEST, since she retired a few years ago, two people have owned the shop, both good as well. I like the current owner, she's really sweet and she does a great job on my hems. i get ALL pants hemmed, and i have tried many tailors, but here the price is right and she does a great job. Hemming is 8 bucks, and $10 if you want original hem, can't beat that! read more

Let me start this review by saying I was referred to this fine establishment by The Vac and Sew store that is located in the center. I have been treated well by them so I always ask folks that treat me well for recommendations. I went by Rose Cleaners on a Sunday and they were closed but I saw a light on and knocked. To my surprise Nancy answered my knock and I was cheerfully greeted even though they were closed " Imagine that for a second"...I explained what I needed done ( a couple of pillows needed a 6" serge seam to close them after I had removed some fill " and asked if she could do the work as I explained that I could come back. She said it was ok so I entered and we spoke at length of her country of origin and also my travels. She introduced me to her friendly husband Long who kept me company while Nancy fixed my two pillows. I told her I would be starting work soon a block from her business and I would be happy to refer any and all to her excellent service and skills. Needless to say I will be doing all of my business for dry cleaning and alterations from here on out with this very talented and nice lady.
