Service was absolutely awful! Called in an order waited the 40 minutes they said it would take, went to pick it up and they never recorded my order! They had record of the call but didn't care at all about fixing anything. They gave me the option to order and wait again or go somewhere else. They didn't offer a discount or free item or anything. They didn't even offer an explanation or apology! They only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is for their pad see ew, it's the best in town. The chicken pho is disgustingly bland. I don't care about decor or location unless the roof is caving in or it's underwater and that's good because this place isn't super nice and is a bit out of my way. This place is priced the exact same as pretty much anywhere else in Redding (except their Sacramento-area-priced pho, which I'm excited to come back and try), and it is HANDS DOWN the best place in Redding for drunken noodle. It's the only place for pan fried pad thai I know of. The service was Horrible. The waitress took our drink order but never came back with our drinks. We asked for our drinks when food came and a young man who wasn't our waiter brought me a can with no cup of ice or straw. We love the green curry, the angel wings, and the pad chow mein. We used to go here a few years ago and stopped going because they were putting green food coloring in the green curry (even the pork was green) and their beef had that spongy texture. BUT I think they changed hands or something and now there is no food coloring and no tenderizer used on the meat. We love the food BUT there are sometimes communication problems between the front and the kitchen. For instance last time I wanted to try the Lao sausages. I received my take-out order and they were missing (I had already paid). The waitress went back to the kitchen and he told her they were out of them! He did not tell her this when he first saw our order. If he had we could have ordered something else. I had already waited 20 min. for my take-out and didn't want to re-order, so she refunded me the cost of the sausages. I know they get busy sometimes back there, but to not communicate to the waitress when I had already paid for them was pretty bad. If I hadn't noticed they weren't in my order I would have had to make a trip back there for my refund. This should never happen. Over all the service could be more mindful. Great Thai food in Redding at a great price. Everything they make here is really really good and authentic.

I would love to give more stars for this place. The chicken wings were outstanding! The wonton soup had great flavor but zero wontons. Which just makes it soup, with great stuff in it, but still, just soup. No menu is posted online which made it hard to order. We both got noodle dishes. Drunken noodles, which were sober(dry)and pad se eew, which were even drier. Both had a good amount of corn starch to thicken the sauce, but way too much was used. Both were just ok. The worst was that we weren't given any silverware or napkins. It's take out, who doesn't give freaking utensils with take out?? I would go back for the chicken wings for sure! read more

Wow, the food here was "phó"nomenal. My friend got the panang talay, it was her first time eating Vietnamese food and she adored it. She's not too big on spice, but we checked with the staff who provided an excellent description, describing it as "just enough spice". Sure enough, it was perfect! I went with the chicken phó. When it comes to phó I like to think of myself as a little bit of a connoisseur. Everywhere I go I have to try it! Since I just moved to Redding, I've been trying to get a feel for the Vietnamese restaurants in town. I picked this one on a little bit of a whim, and I surely do not regret it!!! I have to say though, this has to be one of my top three, and I don't just mean in Redding. This place is delicious and authentic! The first time I was here, bad customer service. Took soooooooo long to get my food. But I wanted to love this place, came back the 2nd time, giving it a 2nd chance that maybe the 1st time people were just having a bad day. Went in 2nd time, same thing. Went in the 3rd time, same thing. So this is my overall review of this place. I will no longer come here. I love Asian Cuisine and they definitely cut corners on their food. Even when they cut corners on their food, the orders still takes sooooo long, regardless if I order in or to go. This place needs to hire more people if they want more customers to return. There are other Asian Restaurants with the same type of food that tastes better and have better customer service. Go to the other ones instead. read more

Beware. This business secretly raised all their prices, and didn't change them on the menu! I was overcharged by a couple dollars on a very small order, so I noticed, and I asked to see the receipt (which I wasn't originally offered). I saw that every dish I ordered rang up for a dollar more than the menu price, and I showed her. Rather than be apologetic, she said she couldn't change the price in the computer. So I advised they then needed to change the price in the menus. This place was busy when I was there, and I thought of all those people who didn't know they were being ripped off! Don't misunderstand, they know they raised their prices, and they know they didn't update the menus. They're basically stealing from their own customers. I also had to wait about an hour for my to go order, including my drink. Then the food wasn't nearly as good as I'd hoped. This was first and last time there, even though they're close to my new house. I recommend Priya or Champa for better Thai food. But I wouldn't patronize a business that knowingly does what Rose Garden does to their customers. read more

Driving through town and noticed place. Asked at the RV park if they had eaten here and the guy said often. We started with avocado spring rolls with tofu instead of shrimp. Very tasty. Served with great sweet garlic sauce and and good thick peanut sauce. Ask for extra. We had the musman curry with tofu and a dish of sautéed vegetables with roasted cashews, both generously large, well presented and very tasty for two hungry travelers. They have beer and wine. I liked the place, with continuously playing, presumably Thai music videos on multiple screens. A clean, old building. Acceptable restroom. Worth a stop. read more

Hands down the worst pho I've ever had. The broth is greasy and flavorless. Only got like 6 tiny pieces of beef in my entire bowl. Also ordered the spring rolls, those were sad and mediocre as well. Made with ice berg lettuce no mint or cilantro or any kind of freshness to them what so ever. The "peanut sauce" is basically just extra creamy peanut butter. Disgusting. I don't understand how they received 4 stars...Oh and our waitress, she was one of the most unpleasant people I've encountered in a restaurant. Just poor experience all the way around. read more

Very good, pretty consistent. I think their beef pho is the best in town and husband loves the basil eggplant. Always polite and consistent service, however I get to go orders most of the time. We were driving down Hwy 273, trying to decide where to go for dinner, and saw Rose Garden. We checked Yelp, saw the good reviews, and decided to give it s try. I am so glad we did! The food is excellent, some of the best Thai I've had in the Northstate. The chicken sate was very flavorful, and was served with peanut sauce and a fresh, crunchy cucumber salad. All of the vegetables served were fresh and tasty. The pork egg roll were crispy and not greasy. The Tom Kae soup had a wonderful blend of flavors. I appreciated that the bean sprouts and chopped peanuts were put next to the Pad Thai on the plate, so we could add the amount we wanted. We loved the Garlic Shrimp. There was a lot of garlic in the sauce, but it was not overpowering and the flavor of the shrimp came through. The shrimp was a little messy, as it was cooked in the shell and needed to be peeled, but so worth it. Great service, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back! read more

Working with 5 thai women ( two being former cooks) I learned a little about good thai food. This place is not good. When I order a dish I know for a fact takes a minimum of 15 minutes to cook and you bring it to me in under five minutes I don't call that fast service. I call that microwaved. Two of the 3 dishes we ordered were microwaved. Besides the the microwaved food you brought our food in this order. One entree, then 5 minutes later another entree and one appetizer, then 7 minutes later the last entree and the other appetizer. Never will we eat here again. Oh and the place had an over powering order of cheap air fresher. Scared to know what it was trying to cover up. read more
