I have mixed feelings of posting this video. I went in Rose Garden for lunch, staff was friendly and the restaurant appeared clean. While I was waiting for my food to come out, I noticed something crawling up the wall, it was in fact a cockroach. I didn't say anything at this time. I watched the same roach climb over the wall that separates the dining room and kitchen. I saw another roach on the floor near my feet. I explained to the person working that there were cockroaches they came and killed it, picked it up w a napkin, over the next few minutes I saw several more roaches crawling on walls and on the floor. This type of uncleanliness is unacceptable for a restaurant. Not writing to bash this place, hoping to bring awareness to the public you might want to reconsider where you dine and the conditions your food is prepared in. read more

The food and service at this restaurant are the best. The staff remembers you and the food comes out hot and delicious. My husband always pics up lunch for his office and never forgets to pick up a couple of orders of Mod Tod fried short ribs for me while he's at it. read more

Nice place to go for some authentic noodle soup and rice plates. One thing I don't like is their menu is not updated. So, whatever you order don't expect to get what is listed on the menu. For example, I ordered boat noodles it says comes with slice beef, beef meatballs, tripes, and etc...but only received a few slices of beef, bean sprouts and nothing else. Their broth is not as rich, but flavorful. If you've been to other Thai restaurants and order boat noodles, you'll know what I mean lol. Overall not a bad place. read more

Who knew there was so much awesome Thai cooking in Vacaville? My boss! She took me here today for lunch and boy was I a happy guy. From the clean and spacious interior to the deliciously fresh food and the smiling service RG seems to know what they are doing. Located in a strip mall, Rose Garden is one of a number of different eateries including one of my favorites Donut Queen. Once sat, our server brought out a basket of shrimp chips and peanut dipping sauce. This kind of reminded me of when you get sat at a Mexican restaurant ala chips and salsa. A nice touch for sure. Lately I've been watching my girlish figure so I held back on my normal noodle on noodle ordering style and opted for the deliciously tender BBQ Chicken. For whatever reason I was thinking that it was going to be a half chicken but instead was a pile of boneless skinless thighs. While the chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful it didn't have much of a smoky BBQ flavor. Alongside was small bowl of Thai sweet chili sauce for dipping. When I ordered the chicken I also ordered a Papaya Salad to accompany my chicken. The sweet-light flavors of the salad really complimented the savory flavor of the chicken. Still my favorite thai restaurant, but I didn't provide much detail in my last review so I figured it was time for an update! My favorite thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. It's very simple and relaxed- makes me feel like I am just eating in my own dining room! Except I don't have an exceptionally friendly and attentive staff at home.. The food.. Wow! Delicious and exquisite in every aspect.. The potstickers are crunchy and have a nice little spicy kick, which I'm guessing is Sriracha. They might be the best potstickers I have ever had! The wing appetizer is also very delicious, but I must admit that the meat was a bit dry the last time I ordered them.. The delicious sauce on the wings compensated for it, though. My favorite thai dish is pineapple fried rice and Rose Garden did not fail to impress me with theirs. They are generous with the shrimp, unlike most places!! PLUS, it only costs around $9, which is a bit cheaper than other restaurants I have been to as well. It is a MUST TRY during your visit, especially if you have never had pineapple fried rice before. I tried yellow curry for the first time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. It has a hint of a sweet flavor, which I assume is to be expected with this dish. Pairs well with white rice. The lemon chicken seems to be the most popular dish at this restaurant because I always notice that other tables order it as well, which is not surprising to me because it is so delicious. The lemon chicken comes with chicken(of course),carrots, broccoli, and a delicious lemon sauce. I love how crispy all of it is. During my last visit, my boyfriend and I ordered two thai teas, pot stickers, pineapple fried rice, citrus chicken, chicken yellow curry, and steamed rice. It was way too much for us, but we enjoyed all of it and we like saving left overs so it's okay. The total came out to be around $46, which isn't too bad considering how much food we ordered. Rose Garden is undoubtedly one of the top thai restaurants-if not THE top thai restaurant-in the solano county. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and most importantly, delicious food! read more

Food is okay, when they get the order right. Their vegetarian curry supposedly comes with tofu, but on a couple occasions I ordered this with extra tofu, and instead got zero tofu. Vegetables are overcooked and mushy. Curry tastes good and brown rice is nice. I'm just majorly disappointed when the main protein of my meal was missing. read more

I've always heard good things about them, but every time I passed by they didn't look very good. Their location is so so and just looked cheap from the outside being next to a BBQ shop and a doughnut shop. Boy was I wrong, when I walked in it was super classy, clean, and cute. The menu is only two pages but it was enough selection for me because there was about 20 dishes to pick from, plus whatever was their special today written on a chalkboard. I had their chicken Pad Thai and their Thai tea, both was super good. I spent about 9.50 for the two of them. The service was awesome and they give you shrimp chips to nibble on, their water is infused with oranges, apples, etc. so the water is even yummy. When you order another drink, like their iced tea or coffee their straws have little roses on them (they folded the straw coverings, awesome Asian secret stuff going on in here). I would totally come back here ASAP. P.S. They ask how spicy you want your dish for pretty much everything on their menu, so if you dislike spice at all just say mild, to them that means 0 spicy. read more

Love love love this thai restaurant! So clean, so quiet and always delicious food. They remember you and always have great specials that change frequently. Tonight was the first night they are open on Mondays. So there was only one waitress there and she felt bad. She wasn't expecting anyone so they had an extra guy there helping out. So service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush by any means. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Vacaville and is highly recommended. They also do take out and we do that quite often as well. And of course there is always Donut Queen next door for dessert. :) read more

Used yelp to help me find a place that served soup. I had a cough and a really nice bowl of soup always helps me out .. Turns out is was less than a 5 minute drive from work so I was ready to check it out. They have their menu on their windows so you can take a look at them before walking in. They were ready to take my order as soon as I walked in and they had me seated immediately. The dinning area is very nice. Now here is where they lost one star. 1) When I ordered the Tom Yung-Kung (which I recommend everyone try, best hot and sour soup I've ever had) she asked me if I wanted the large... when I asked her how big the large was she said "The one with the fire" .... what the heck lol .. I didn't know what that meant, but fire sounds pretty cool so I agreed to order it. Turns out the coup dish was so big that it feeds like 3-4 people, but the soup was the best I've every had (and I agreed to ordered it) So I forgave it. 2) I tried to order the fried honey glazed banana ... and she said they didn't make them anymore .. well take them off your menu! Rose Garden hit the spot! My family and I were craving Thai food but didn't want to drive out of our comfort for our usual spot. We searched up some places near by and decided on Rose Garden. I'm glad we did; the food was flavorful and the portions were filling. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, fresh spring rolls ( a must with the dipping sauce, and the pad Thai noodles. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but wow! Nice atmosphere inside, quiet and romantic type setting. Service was top notch- its true- your water glass will never go empty. Language barrier is a little rough. But the real treat is the food! We got the fried tofu and egg rolls which were tasty and the pineapple fried rice is awesome! My husband and I go out once a week w/o the kids and are always looking for an escape from the chain restaurants. So glad we found Rose Garden- we will definaltey be going back! read more
