Beautifully plated scallops, that were way over cooked
    John S.

Incredibly underwhelmed at this place. We got there around 7 and were seated promptly. Our bus boy came over and pour water, and our waitress came over to take our drink order. Things seem to be moving along well. Then we waited & waited. Our drinks never came. Finally after about 20 mins another server asked if we had any questions. I asked "where are our drinks" he check and 2 seconds later they were delivered. Our waitress seem a little frazzled and I caulked it up to a miss hap and we ordered apps and dinner since we had time to wait. For apps we ordered 1/2 dozen oysters & a scallop special that was recommended to us. The oyster were good. They had a great mignonete sauce & atomic horseradish cocktail sauce. The scallops had great presentation (the only thing I got a picture of) but we tough and way over cooked. For dinner my wife Asian sea bass and I ordered the 8oz filet with a side of asparagus we shared. About 1/2 way through our appetizer our waitress came back and said they were out of the Asian sea bass. She opted for the broiled sea bass instead. Waitress said no problem. Only to come back 15 mins later and tell us they are outta sea bass. Great. Went with the salmon. Entrees came out after the apps. Filet was great cooked to my liking. Also got a side an asparagus which was good. The salmon was average. We decided to order another round of drinks to go with dinner. They came near the end of the meal. My wife got the same wine she ordered originally but instead of a bourbon they brought me a scotch. I didn't notice at first. But by the time my meal ended and I took a second sip, I thought this is not bourbon its scotch. I didnt say anything just waited for our check and tried to salvage some good conversation over an underwhelming & expensive meal. Only to get the bill and find out they over charge me for all the drinks they served. The price on the menu was $15 and on the bill they were $20. I addressed this with the waitress who corrected it but it was just one disaster after another at this place. I think it's safe to say I won't be coming back here anytime soon with so many better steak houses in the area.

I was SO looking forward to this place and it started out well. Ralph and Angelo the hosts were a great first impression and we were greeted warmly and sat us at a booth which we didn't quite like as it was in a boring and sterile looking part of the restaurant and near the service doors with ugly fluorescent lights. They did quickly and graciously moved us with no attitude. Our server was new and it showed. She didn't bother introducing herself to us so we don't know her name. Monte was her mentor and we tried to be patient but she def needed help. Our drinks were sooo slow to arrive and she even forgot my friends Prosecco. Apps were just ok. We had calamari which was meh and then our salads came. The chopped salad was fresh and delicious. Our friends split the wedge and they liked them too so definitely the salads here were good! Now the bad part: 3 of us got the dry aged Kansas City strips. It had a nice dry aged funky flavor however all were tough and NOT TENDER whatsoever. We're not one to send anything back bcoz we just can't fathom wasting meat especially at this price point. They were cooked as ordered but I've never had tough prime steaks ever. Actually I've never had such tough steaks even if they were just Angus. Steaks from Jewel were far superior and I'm not exaggerating. Just Not good. My friend got the lone dover sole which looked promising. They deboned the sole tableside and I must say Monte did a fantastic job however we all took a taste of it and it tasted way fishy and definitely not fresh. Even the creamy sauce that came with it could not mask the fishy flavor. If you've ever had Dover Sole at RL restaurant in the city, you know what great Dover sole is. This was NOT it. Sides were also kinda iffy too. We had the steak fries which were ok; Au gratin cauliflower was a cheesy flavorless mess. The crisp Brussels sprouts were the clear winner however! Desert-wise we got the carrot cake which I loved and butter cake was average. Overall We spent over $600 bucks and it just went down the drain. How unfortunate because we need a good steakhouse out here and I wish this place the best but whoever their meat purveyor is, they need to go somewhere else because the steaks are NOT GOOD. I've read other reviewers say the same thing about tough steaks and I should've heeded the advice. Atmosphere-wise the restaurant was a bit cold feeling. Not temperature-wise but it felt disjointed. The main area would be the place to be seated because the rest of the place looked like an office space filled with restaurant stuff but it looked a little unfinished. The lighting sucked and lacked any warmth ergo office atmosphere. I Hope this review helps others too. I don't think I'll be coming back any time soon. Sorry not sorry

Salad was very tasty and fresh

Stopped for dinner on a Monday night. Wasn't very crowded and we were sat immediately. Nice inside, very bright with a lot of windows and white tablecloths. Opposite of most high end steakhouses which tend to be very dark Had a nice bourbon list so we ordered a couple bookers and reviewed the menu Decided on the lamb chop appetizer, a salad and the dry aged Kansas City strip Lamb chops were very good. Came in a flavorful sauce and were cooked perfectly Salad was good, very refreshing Kansas City strip was delicious. Dry aging changes the texture, gives it almost a ham like consistency. Was cooked as ordered and full of flavor Service was good, attentive but not too much Would definitely recommend

Mi amiga and I came here for their happy hour and tried most of the app on their happy hour menu and all of them tasted soo good. We both shared the iron skillet dumpling, short rib quesadilla, rigatoni vodka, mac n cheese, burger slider, mini meatballs. Service was great! Anthony and Sonia were superb and the place is great, we heard each other pretty good. Not loud at all . I will definitely go back!

Rosebud just opened in Wheeling and me and my husband decided to go there for our anniversary. This was my first time at a Rosebud and the food was great. FOOD: We stared with the fork and knife bacon and lobster GOT. Both were delicious! The bacon was juicy and super thick. Just like the title, you'll definitely need a fork and knife to eat the bacon. My favorite was the lobster GOT. It was buttery and there were large chunks of lobster meat. It paired nicely with the crostini. For our main dish I had the short rib bolognese and my husband had the 12 oz filet mignon. He ordered it medium rare. The bolognese was okay. It was on the salter side for me but my husband likes it. The filet mignon was amazing! He did have to send it back because the middle was very rare-- almost blue. When they redid the steak, it was perfect. We also ordered the bake Mac and cheese and steakhouse mashed. The Mac and cheese was my favorite thing there. It's probably one of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. Since it was our anniversary, they gave us a free tiramisu. It was really nice of them and we did not expect that at all. And the tiramisu delicious. I'll definitely come back but I want to try their other dishes. SERVICE: our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of the food. He was attentive for the most part but it kinda seems like they're understaffed. Overall, Rosebud is a great date night place. It's definitely an upscale restaurant and the dress code is business casual.

Tiramisu with finger nail in it.

I had a really mixed experience at Rosebud. I want to start by saying our server was honestly great--very friendly, attentive, and did a really good job taking care of our table. Unfortunately, the food was another story. I ordered a burger and it just tasted awful. Definitely not what I expected and not something I would order again. The worst part came with dessert. When I started eating the tiramisu, I found what looked like a fingernail in it. It was honestly disgusting and completely ruined the meal for me. Again, I want to give credit where it's due because the service itself was really good. But between the burger tasting terrible and finding something like that in the dessert, it was a pretty bad experience overall.

My husband and I were very happy to welcome this beautiful restaurant to our community. Carryout is convenient and we have picked up dinner three times so far. Our first in-person visit was on January 3rd, and we look forward to the next one. Cocktails are excellent and bartenders Miguel and Luis are welcoming and knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and other aspects of the business. So far our favorite food items have been the Maryland Crab Cake, Brick Chicken and Chicken Parmesan.

I should have had the burger... Still working out the kinks. Dry aged at $67 was cold as was the mashed potatoes. Service was experienced and from other restaurants. Let's see how things develop. Slow....

Good food and good service from our waiter Shaan and my family were greeted very nicely by the hostess Evangelina.

We were seated promptly in the formal dining room which was nicely decorated. Our semi-circular booth was spacious and comfortable. There were different sections in the restaurant that were more casual, tailored to the different tastes of the clients. Overall, food was delicious and portions were huge. I had a Boston Clam Chowder and a Gulf Grouper as the main. I would usually order a salad, but I didn't this time as each entrée came with a large plate of homemade roasted vegetables and wild rice. The Boston Clam Chowder had real pieces of clams in it. However, it was just lukewarm. My grouper looked great and tasted flavorful, but it was somewhat over-cooked (and therefore not tender), which was unfortunate. My wife had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and an order of Stuffed Flounder that had crabmeat sandwiched in the fish. She absolutely loved her choices. Our daughter had a Charbroiled Walleye and liked it too. Her only disappointment was the garlic bread being hard and dry. Our daughter and I each had a Chardonnay Stags Leap which was good, while my wife had a Virgin Mojito and truly enjoyed it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the night was the slice of tiramisu that our friendly and professional server Greg brought to me! It had a lit candle for my birthday, and Greg teamed up with two other waitresses enthusiastically sang me a happy birthday song! The tiramisu was excellent, creamy and not too sweet. I am not a dessert person but really appreciated this. I have a suggestion for the restaurant: as the portions were so large and each of us brought home half of it, it would have been nice that they make the portion 40% to 50% smaller, and lower the average price of $40 per entrée accordingly. It might help attract more customers. Just my two cents. All in all, I had a lovely birthday dinner at Boston Fish Market. Ambience was good, and service was outstanding. We will certainly return again.

She is so sweet and certainly very proud of her restaurant! We asked her for recommendations and she was happy to share some of the top preferred items of guests. She gave us time to look over the menu. I settled on the fried catfish dinner with a side of grits, greens & a roll. Hubby wanted fish and chips with a roll. Lisa told us that everything is made fresh to order so it would be about 15-20 mins. We weren't in any hurry, but we appreciated the heads up and the fact that it was all freshly made. The food arrived crispy and hot and oh so delicious! My catfish was so flakey. The grits and greens were the perfect sides to go with it. Hubs really enjoyed his fish and chips. The fries were so good, we couldn't stop eating them. Lisa also sold us on the fresh bread pudding, but we so full so we had to take it go. Just finished it tonight and it was even more delicious than she described! We will certainly be returning to try the shrimp po' boy and other items on her menu! Plus more bread pudding. On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!
