Brilliant for your opening weekend to have one kitchen for 3 restaurants. It's gonna be a long time before I give this place another chance. The hostess/greeters were miserable probably from wearing all black and jeans. When we called to make reservations they said we are only accepting walk ins at this time. We get here and you can only have drinks since the kitchen is so backed up. How hard is it to make a shrimp cocktail, Tuna tartar, or avocado toast?!? The atmosphere is decent, reminiscent of New York spots. But the drinks even took forever so we just left after one round. One friend got up and ordered from the bar before because it took so long. The drink presentations did look good, and I did enjoy the Coo Coo for coconuts, the green drink pictured. The pineapple juice and orgeat went really well with the Tito's. I ordered sparkling water and got tap water. I normally post very positive reviews and omit places I don't like, but get it together Ray. They also ran out of watermelon sugar, champagne, and all seltzer's. I'm mostly just blown away on an opening weekend in one of the best locations in the country. Had dinner and drinks tonight. The drinks were delicious (pink dove and spicy watermelon sugar). We loved the guac and the wings too. The best part of the night though was Savannah!!! Very nice rooftop bar. Was really just checking it out and it was busy and difficult to get a drink. Music was very good - old r&b stuff from maze, Luther, etc. Actually so good I went and asked the dj if he was always there - apparently only on the first and third fridays, dudes name was Vinny. So, will be back in 2 weeks time to check him out again but I imagine the vibe is generally nicely laid back and upscale any night. Nice addition to delray scene. read more

Great rooftop bar! Modern, luxurious decor adjacent to the Hotel Ray's pool and sundeck. Their "Golden" (Happy) Hour offers half-price specialty cocktails and $9 appetizers, all of which were truly outstanding. Vibrant, classy clientele, reminds me of Juvia on Lincoln Road in South Beach. The Bang Bang Shrimp (on both the Golden Hour and regular menus) were sweet, spicy, plentiful, and outstanding, (as was the service). read more

Went last night for my birthday and the staff was amazing. Katlin was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The drinks tasted great. I had the coconut mai tai which is perfect for people that like sweet. My friends had the pink passion fruit which was tequila based and delicious. The sliders were everything! My wife and I are visiting from NJ and some local friends recommend Rosewater Rooftop. We came for drinks and we were greeted by Jill the bartender. Jill was truly amazing. She was able to keep us engaged at the same time running the extremely busy outside bar all by herself. I travel a lot for business and have frequented too many bars and have met many bartenders that I will forget. Jill is one of the best bartenders I have encountered and we look forward to coming back to Rosewater because of their bartender Jill. read more

This was my first time in Delray...what an amazing place the Rosewater Rooftop is. It's paradise up there. Beautiful seating areas...perfect for any meal or occasion. We were there for lunch. The menu isn't large but there are enough choices for all tastes and diets. I enjoyed the chicken thigh skewers, burgers were very good also as well as the salads. Yummy drinks too! Anna was our friendly server and made us feel quite welcome. Would highly recommend this Rooftop... above the Ray Hotel. Lots of public parking close by too. read more

Usually my friends and I love hanging out here and are pretty frequent customers. However last time we went, drinks were great and all and service was ok, but as we were leaving we got literally chased by our waitress who was demanding a higher tip claiming "we usually get tipped 20% and you guys only did 12%" --Guys, she literally chased us to the pool area just so we changed our already signed tip. Amazing venue!! I am a Delray Beach local with nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff is welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Maya has accomodated me and taken my reservation both times, Corryne (sp.?) served my party on my first visit, and Kaitlyn did the second time. A manager has stopped by my table every time I've dined just to introduce themselves and check in, which definitely does not happen at every restaurant! I leave feeling full and excited for my next visit. I especially recommend the wings, any of the sushi rolls, and the tostadas. The cocktails are delicious as well. 10/10! read more

Calamari was flavorless, chicken skewers looked and tasted like the same chicken from Panda Express and even then the Panda Express chicken was better. The bartenders were great! Food and specialty drinks were great! However, the hostess and waiter service was disappointing!!!! Let me explain: I had made reservations for 20 people for 3 pm. I arrived at 2:30 and introduced myself to the hostess. She barely acknowledged me since she was very busy having a casual conversation with a fellow employee or friend. It certainly wasn't customer related. She impatiently let me know that I can sit at 3 after customers left. P.S. the area wasn't busy. We happily proceeded to the bar and ordered drinks. We enjoyed the ambiance and the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. At about 3:15 we had half of our party and the hostess, once again was ruse and said we couldn't sit until our entire party was there. I preface this by saying that when the rez was made, I wasn't informed this was the case. Also, I was told the seats were inside by the bar. In the meantime, everyone was ready to order apps and were forced to order at bar and stand around. Our area was empty and ready to go. I had explained that people will trickle in since it is a happy hour gathering and not a formal dinner. At last, 4 pm we sat! A sub waitress served us begrudgingly since apparently the waitress hadn't arrived yet! Most of our party for the remainder of happy hour went to the bar. It was a good plan as our table was ready, and it was beautiful and quiet. good news ends there. waited 15 minutes for a waitress, she finally shows, order drinks and appetizers, 30 minutes later nothing, not even the waitress. Very poor customer service. By mistake I left my credit card in the folder when they bring you the bill. The next day I called and could not get anyone on the phone to see if it was there. Later that day I realized that one of the workers used the card. Although I called and left my name and number no one ever called to apologize. I received a very nice call from the manager. Rose water is the new premiere rooftop spot in Del Ray. The place is extremely charming and the atmosphere sends a hip and modern vibe. I visited two nights in a row; Thursday was beers with the fellas and Friday evening was date night with another couple. A casual hangout or a more upscale double date....Rosewater is the perfect venue for both. The staff was well informed and offered top notch recommendations to include flavor note descriptions and ingredients of the featured cocktails. I certainly didn't expect that level of detail having only been open for a couple days. The food was exceptional, visually appealing and presented with enthusiasm. We get a lot of visitors from out of town....and this is our new go to spot to host our guests. read more

Gorgeous spot for a drink but forget trying to eat here. We went for an early dinner for my boyfriend's birthday on a weekday and we were told they were fully booked. We went to the rooftop anyway and ordered drinks. The place was empty. We sat in one of the cabanas and enjoyed our drinks. After our second round (place was still empty) we were told that the cabanas were reserved and even though no one was there, we were told to move. So we decided to go elsewhere for dinner. I decided that since this place seemed to care more about hotel guests than local diners, I booked a room for New Year's weekend. $600 per night. My goal for the last 6 months was to wear a sexy dress and have a meal at Rosewater. Can you believe even after spending that kind of money to stay in a hotel not even on the water that I STILL couldn't get a reservation to eat at the rooftop restaurant? We went anyway, I wore my once in a lifetime smoking hot metal backless dress. We managed to have a drink before being told there was no room for us to stay at Rosewater and we'd have to move if someone else came along. 40 minutes later, not able to order food and still sitting there we decided to leave on our own. Thank God our night was rescued by the downstairs restaurant Ember Grill. Totally different attitude, great staff and finally able to eat. Too bad Rosewater doesn't value their guests like Ember Grill. read more

Lots of kinks to work out. Placed dry a lunch order and 20 minutes after some random employee came out and said can't fulfill the order because lunch is being broken down for dinner ... This was after our server took it the whole order. Drinks took forever so my wife went to the bar and picked them up...and when the billed came it included some of the lunch items we never received that they couldn't "fulfill"... no apologies. Literally the absolute WORST service I've ever had in Delray Beach. I don't care how pretty your rooftop is if I have to ask two people and a manager to see a waitress to get water...only for that waitress to say "I didn't know you were my table." After the food came, she never came back and we had to ask the busboys for more drinks to which she then complained to us that they didn't tell her. I could have grown a potato in the ground faster to make my own vodka than wait for these drinks. There are so many other places to go - don't waste your time at this place. AWFUL. read more
