    Spicy chicken musubi

I was first introduced to this amazing hidden gem in east Henderson area about 2 years ago and let me tell you it's one of the most underrated Hawaiian spots in Vegas for sure. The ambiance in this place is a family style that's local that has great food for a reasonable price. In this day and age with that being said it's very impressive for Ross Js to be such a delicious lunch plate establishment with great service and wonderful food items. This place reminds me of a local spot that hits the spot and takes care of the customers with one of the best prices around hands down. First impression coming there was a line out the door hustling and bustling it was peak lunch time. I believe I ordered a spicy Korean chicken bowl for 6$ I couldn't believe the price also it was delicious and the portions were nice as well. Ever since then this was a go to spot when I'm in the east side Henderson area. I've also tried the mahi mahi plate with cabbage and tartar sauce, loco moco, and meat jun plate all delicious by the way. The mahi mahi plate was a meat Jun style and you can either get the smaller one with 2 pieces of fish or the big one with 3 pieces of fish. This mahi mahi plate was on point very original and hits with side of Mac salad don't forget to grab a Hawaiian sun. The spicy Korean chicken combo bowl was amazing cooked perfect and you get best of both worlds chicken and steak that's a must try. The meat Jun plate was amazing came with chicken, beef, and fish so good if your into meat Jun. The loco moco I feel like you can never go wrong with this dish such a staple in the Hawaiian fare I recommend with over easy eggs and with onions and mushrooms. You can also order spicy chicken musubis so delicious a must try as well. Ross Js is a solid establishment and if your in the east Henderson area go check em out this a must try for Vegas for sure from the amazing staff that does a great job every time I go there to all the chefs and people that make it a great experience a must go!!

Stopped by after dancing hula with my hula sistas. I've heard of Ross J's and glad I finally got to taste the food. I was told that they are the same owners as the Islander restaurant in The Cal 2nd Floor. The price point here is so much cheaper than others and the food is ono. I ordered the Menehune Roast Pork and Fried Noodles while my friends enjoyed their dishes. The roast pork was delicious. The Menehune plate is similar to a mini plate but to be honest, it wasn't really small. The meat was plentiful but the rice and mac salad is a smaller scoop from the regular plate. The fried noodles has a good flavor too. Overall great spot to dine at. It really reminds me of plate lunch spots in Hawaii. So Ono.

This place doesn't disappoint! Always get the Aloha Bento plate and it never fails to hit the spot! And their hawaiian kool aid is refreshing! Might want to go early though since it's always busy but other than that, their level of service is great! And the enviroment is very laid back and chill along with a side of island jams! Mahalo Ross J! :)

I finally made it to the source of Aloha Specialties famous cornflake cookies! I didn't see any of them available sadly, but I wasn't feeling incredibly hungry and we had to lots to do to get ready for work. Next time! Tucked into yet another of LV's strip malls, it's the hours that have kept me at bay. They close at 3:30 PM which I can rarely beat based on the schedule I normally have. J got the much-loved pork cutlets with gravy with the Korean chicken special on the side. I had my requisite bowl of wonton min. J is never effusive about food so I won't know unless he mentions it later if he really enjoyed it. He's from Maui so I'm sure he's tasted the best. The wonton min I had edged out Aloha Specialties for the best I've tried (so far just these two establishments in the confines of LV). The noodles tasted fresher and the broth (which, let's be honest, is what Asian soups are about) was much better. I tasted a piece of J's Korean chicken and it certainly has a kick to it. Spicy foods aren't really for me, but I'll definitely return for that soup. And the cookies!

A Henderson hidden gem forsure! I had the pleasure of having lunch here with a friend a few months back and recently revisited for a solo lunch. The food is always good and fresh. My first time I tried the teriyaki chicken combo w/ rice and mac salad. This time I tried the Korean chicken and tempura shrimp combo w/ rice and Mac salad. Bomb! Food is always flavorful and the portion sizes are more than enough. Service is always professional and staff are nice. There is a bit of a wait whether dining in or competing a take out order so give your self sometime in between. The restaurant is usually busy during lunch hours but nothing too crazy. The establishment itself gives a family vibe so it's a nice atmosphere to enjoy your food. If you're looking for bang for your buck and good Hawaiian food. This is the spot!

Their food and service is consistently excellent. They offer special so check the board when you arrive. There is a lot of onsite parking. They are located at a main intersection so easy to locate and access. Near Ethel M's in Smiths shopping center. You can't go wrong if you're looking for some Hawaiian food.

It's been a couple years since we have been to Ross J's and we were in the area and stopped for lunch. We ordered the Spicy Korean Chicken bowl and added veggies & a small Wonton Min. Dining area has plenty of booth seating. Service was quick and food was good. The spicy korean chicken bowl is always a must! The soup was good too. The small was still enough to share. Wish they were open a little later than 330pm! Definite hidden gem!

The food is amazing, the ambiance and service reminds me of Maui. More specifically, Cupie's in Maui. This is how home cooked Hawaiian food tastes at the mom and pop shops back home. My favorites are the musubi, hamburger steak plates, chicken katsu, and kalua pig plates. I have a nice of pictures I took from the various times I've visited. I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for amazing food that won't break the bank in Las Vegas, this is the place to go. I ordered the Teriyaki Combo Chicken and Beef Bowl, and I was seriously impressed. The meat was tender, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor--the teriyaki sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Portion size? Just right. You walk away full and satisfied without feeling like you overdid it. The restaurant itself is small and super clean, which is always a good sign. It does get pretty busy during peak hours, so be patient--trust me, it's worth the short wait. This spot proves you don't need a fancy setting to serve top-quality food at an unbeatable price. Highly recommend if you're in Vegas and craving something quick, affordable, and delicious!

    Mac Salad

Great food but the mac salad was so small i could eat it in one bite and the cup that they put in was not even full

Walking into Ross J's is like stepping off a plane in Honolulu minus the TSA pat down and the guy in front of you who brought six pineapples as carry ons. This is one of the few spots in Vegas that feels like an original Hawaiian café. Simple, comforting, and absolutely loaded with flavor. And let's talk about prices for a second. In a city where you can pay $27 for avocado toast with a side of attitude, Ross J's has somehow managed to keep their prices low. I honestly don't know how they do it. Maybe they are just old school locals who believe you shouldn't need a small loan to enjoy chicken katsu and garlic shrimp. The food? Quality every time. From the crispy mochiko chicken to the perfectly charred BBQ beef, everything screams authentic. It's the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and maybe even humming a little Israel Kamakawiwoʻole on the way out.

I ordered the garlic chicken, which had a nice crispy, crunchy coating, but that was honestly the best thing I could say about it. The flavor was incredibly mild and lacked the bold garlic taste I was expecting. It was surprisingly bland and didn't leave much of an impression. The rice that came with it was also disappointing because it was mushy instead of light and fluffy. The macaroni salad was another letdown. It had a strange flavor that I couldn't quite figure out. I'm not sure if that's how it's traditionally supposed to taste or if something was off that day, but I didn't enjoy it and ended up leaving most of it behind. The highlight of my meal was definitely the chicken teriyaki. It was flavorful, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of char from the grill. If I were to order anything again, it would probably be that. The location also didn't do the restaurant any favors. The surrounding area and parking lot felt a bit sketchy and weren't especially welcoming, which made the overall experience less enjoyable before I even walked through the door. As for the service, it was fine. The man working at the front was cordial and polite, and I didn't have any complaints about the customer service. Overall, I'd give this place three stars. While the chicken teriyaki was enjoyable, the rest of the meal fell short of expectations. Between the bland garlic chicken, mushy rice, unusual macaroni salad, and less-than-inviting location, I wasn't impressed enough to make a return visit.

I also had the crispy Brussels sprouts which had a sweet start but finished with a nice spice/heat. They were so amazing I didn't want it to end. I also enjoyed chips and guacamole, spicy edamame, and a few rolls off my friend's plate which was avocado and tuna. Everything I ate was so good and I cannot wait to come back for more. Next time I hope to try to corn ribs and the crispy cauliflower. But I will never ever not get the beet tostada's

We have friends who live in Vegas, and we are honestly very upset that after years of visiting…read morethem, they are just now showing us Chinitas, because this place is so good. They have a huge menu, which I'm typically not a fan of, but we tried a little bit of everything and every single bite was delicious. Needless to say, we also ordered every dessert item on the menu, and trust me, you will not be disappointed. This is an all-around great restaurant with good service, a good environment, and a menu where there is absolutely something for everyone. Love this place and would definitely come back!
