    Chicken bowl

Good Mediterranean food. I got the chicken bowl with almost all the ingredients. It was packed and I was full. Ingredients tasted fresh and the taste was good. Price was good. Not much more to say

I really want to start visiting the Roti in Hyde Park more. I haven't been for lunch in a long time. Now that it's warmer out, I'm willing to walk the block or so when at work downtown. I splurged (won a bet for St. Louis) and got the Lamb meatball rice plate. It was a good portion, I had to take some home. The assembly line is such a good idea, since there are so many ingredients to choose from, you need 3 or 4 people to assemble the entree. I wonder if you can order online in advance. That would be a good way to avoid all the noisiness.

I love roti. Come here all the time for lunch break and it's a long line but it moves so fast. You have to know what you want tho because you will feel the pressure from how fast the line is moving. Delicious food and super filling.

I like big balls and I can not lie You other brothers can't deny That when a falafel walks in with an itty bitty ... Ok, I don't know where I was going with that, but my point is I like big balls, falafel balls that is, and this place doesn't have them. Back when I worked over by the Monroe and river location, I used to frequent Roti a lot and had fond memories. My visit today confirmed one, maybe two things: (1) I've become a falafel snob and/or (2) they're at best mediocre. Let's break it down: * Bread - they changed their flatbread somewhere between mt last visit and now; I like the old bread better. * Falafel - damn those balls are scrawny! They also didn't seem to have the same consistency/texture you find at the more authentic Mediterranean establishments. * Toppings - this is one area that has stayed great. Lots of sauce and topping choices for your falafel. * Wrapper - they converted from the easy to tear foil paper to wax paper, grrr. The new wrapper blows, it's awkward to tear since you have to leave it on to hold your sammie together. Multiple times I ended up with a mouthful of wax paper, phooey! * Extras - what happened to the free side of cous cous? * Price - for $6.50 ($7.23 with tax) I expect better quality falafel and something more filling! The prices of some items rival sit down places with table service; $8.50 for a single salmon kebab? Um, wtf?! The new space is nice, better laid out to handle lines unlike the one on Monroe and Canal and service was friendly. To recap: Small balls + overpriced + bites of wax paper = Mary spending her falafel dollars elsewhere. TIP: The flatbread is way better than the pita unless you like wearing your lunch TIP: They have a gluten free menu online and can substitute gluten-free pita for $2 extra.

Roti is my favorite lunch spot in the loop. I go back and forth between the chicken roti rice plate and the mixed green chicken roti - I get all the fixins! Their falafels are good af too.

My build-your-own steak bowl and it was quite fresh, delish, and plentiful! I love the unlimited types of veggie toppings you can add on and omit the unnecessary sauces that can add on calories. I inhaled the whole thing for lunch around 11:30am and I ended up skipping dinner because I was so full. Next time I will only eat half and save it for another meal. My only complaint is that the food is a little on the salty side. I had to drink water every hour to quench my thirst. The reason I don't go to Roti often is because of the price. I spent almost $11 on just lunch and no beverage -- I can get away with spending less than $8 at most build-your-own bowl places or other lunch options in the Loop.

They accommodated my large party and were incredibly patient throughout all of our planning and discussions. I'm truly grateful for how well they took care of us. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the customer service went above and beyond our expectations. As an added bonus, you can validate your parking at the lot across the street, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for special occasions, large groups, or anyone looking for great food and outstanding service.

I was so excited to try their turkey burger and hand cut sweet potato fries, and they did NOT disappoint. My husband and I wanted to split the Brussels sprout salad, and the team split it for us! It was such a courteous and thoughtful touch; and it was absolutely phenomenal!!! So flavorful and filling... I barely got my turkey burger down. :) I never nabbed a photo of the turkey burger because I ATE IT! I got it on a gluten free bun (GF foodie here) and it was still great. The fries warmed me from the inside out: imperfectly cut, delicious, and quickly became my new comfort or food. The staff was absolutely out of sight; kind, attentive and took care of very detail. The ambiance of the bar opening to the street on the perfect night was the perfect touch; family-friendly but still open enough for everyone to enjoy their meal. I'd definitely go back.

No one fits and you end up standing next to a revolving door that tries to hit you every time someone comes in. They also have a tiny waiting area in a walled off space on the side but they decided to put a table there too. Genius (not really). Be ready to wait because for some reason everyone decided this was a hot spot. Forget getting there after 9am if you want to wait less than 45-60 minutes. The tables are jammed together, the service is SLOW and the food is expensive and really not all that special. Save time and money and go somewhere else.
