Pretty cool place. They are very focused on detail, such as whiskey bottles chilled on the table filled with water for you, coffee server in a French press (that is awesome), portions that are huge and flavors to go with it. I has the chicken and waffles, the waffles were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, the chicken had great flavor and was nice and crispy. My mom and aunt had the egg sandwich on a croissant, the eggs looked super fluffy and my mom ripped a piece off and the cheese just stretched as high as her hand would go. Their sandwich came with the crispiest most delicious tater tots I've ever had! Their brunch bar drinks looked to die for if I didn't have to drive home. Only complaint is it took a little while (about 30 minutes) to get our food after we ordered. Other than that service was great and I would definitely return. read more

After our last visit and my negative Yelp review, the manager reached out to me, apologized, and sent a gift card to encourage us to return for a better experience. Thank you, Jeremy, for being proactive. I really love the food and atmosphere at Irv's and now can happily say that it will remain on my list of best restaurants in the Hershey area. They have a fun beer selection and their tito's mule was delicious. However service was a tad slow. The tater tot nachos were to die for and my s.o. really enjoyed the black truffle burger however I did not enjoy my entree and I'm not picky at all (someone at the table next to me also got this and didn't enjoy it). The peppercorn ahi tuna was so overlooked and dry, hardly any pink in it. I would've been fine with that if it had a good sauce to dip it in, but it didn't. None of the flavors or textures mixed well at all. I would return to irvs but I would highly suggest not ordering the tuna. read more

I had the French onion soup which had a great flavor, personally I like a bit more cheese though, the cheese is melted on a piece of bread and placed on the top, nice presentation but could be cheesier! For my meal I had the chicken with the butternut squash risotto, which is probably one of the best things I have ever eaten! All of the flavors went really well together, perfect fall dish. The menu had just changed so a couple things online were different then the updated menu but they took the time to see if they were still available and if not gave options. Arrived in town hungry and tired. I was travelling alone so I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender (who had the attentiveness of an owner) was quick to let me know that happy hour was ending soon and made a few suggestions for appetizer and drink specials. There is a wide selection of draft beer (17) and even more bottled beer. I'm not a beer fan so I had a glass of Savignon Blanc. I would describe the menu as sophisticated comfort food. Unique variations of my favorites along with several more interesting dishes I'd love to try. The three appetizers I ordered for my dinner were delicious (poutine, spicy chicken lettuce wraps, and the Brussels sprouts were all well portioned, nicely presented and delicious. If I lived in here this would definitely be a place I'd be returning to. Frequently. Comfortable and inviting atmosphere if eating alone, which is not always the case. Great place! read more

Decided to check this place out for date night with my wife. This place has cozy small areas to sit in. We started off with the seafood chowder which was delicious with large chunks of bacon in it. We also had the Butcher Block which was a bit too tiny for me but my wife enjoyed it. We will come back and have a large plate are the short ribs look great. read more

Excellent place. Great staff, super friendly, high quality food. The burger is excellent if you are craving pub food, and "daddy's medicine" cocktail is something unique and quite tasty. I met a friend here for a pre-holiday lunch and was really pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar and shared a few things, all of which were well prepared . Brussels sprouts were cooked just right- not mushy but not overly crunchy, and of course everything is better with bacon. The chicken liver mousse on toast was the highlight. The mousse itself was super smooth and seasoned well, and the toast added some smoky flavor and crunchy texture. It was a great combination that was way more sophisticated than expected. We split the rueben with salmon pastrami- also a nice surprise. Not fishy at all but definitely a fun twist on the classic. Lots of local and interesting beers on tap and a super friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Will happily return next time I'm in town to see the family! read more

Mediocre at best. Stopped in on Sunday for brunch. Was really excited to be back in Hershey and visit with my family who I rarely see(since I moved away). Upon entry to Irv's, the host, before greeting us, demanded if we had a reservation. We answered no, and we're informed that we had a time limit on our table- we agreed. The. place. was.empty. (bar area and dining areas included). Our waitress was curt and unaccommodating. Three of us were excited to see they were putting on a GoT themed brunch since we're huge fans of the show. However, our excitement was short-lived once we tasted our lackluster, "breakfast at Winterfell." The highlight of our dining experience was listening to the kitchen staff intermittently shout "king of the north!" Would not return. read more

Was so pleasantly surprised by Irv's! It is definitely NOT a pub in it's traditional sense. The setting is more of a very chic, sleek bistro. Stopped in after a long day of driving and did not have really high expectations. From the start we were so glad we chose Irv's. The pineapple-habanero margarita made with house-infused tequila was amazing. Hit all the right notes of sweet, spicy and tart at the same time. The blackberry bourbon smash was a little sweet but very tasty. We started with the roasted buffalo blue cheese cauliflower. There were four of us and we could have easily eaten at least two. It was fabulous. We ordered the tuna, ricotta cavatelli and caprese salad for dinner. The tuna was cooked exactly as we asked. Lovely presentation over a large salad. The cavatelli was exceptional; a balanced dish of pasta, mushrooms and Parmesan cream. I would have liked the pieces of beef to be a little bigger, as some of the shreds were lost in the sauce. What a great place! We stumbled onto this pub looking for a place to have brunch. It was busy so we sat at the bar. Had the best Bloody Mary with a skewer of blue cheese stuffed olive, peperoncino, a grilled shrimp, topped with a deviled egg coupled the Bloody Mary with the Irv Burger made with danish blue cheese, horseradish mayo and and onion jelly it was delicious! We are locals and ate there last night and we won't be back. Menu is very obscure - for example every salad on the menu has beets in them. We were there with friends had drinks, had appetizers, dinner, and after dinner coffee and after two hours we were asked to move to the bar area to sit at a hightop. There were empty tables in the dining room so we were very perplexed by this request by the manager. Disappointed and prefer the Mill, Devon's, Houlihans, Forbay, etc over this place. Waitress was rushing us the entire time - Trying to take place before we were finished eating, Bringing dessert menu before we are finished eating... Turning her table was her priority that night. read more

I ordered the burger and was pleasantly surprised with the huge slices of bacon and sweet/saltiness of the onions and cheese. I didn't have any dessert, but the options looked yummy.
