After a long day of battling the snow and clearing out my grandmothers car, I was starving and so was my grandmother. We decided to take a drive in search of something tasty, and our adventure led us to Brewhouse Grill in Camp Hill, PA. From the outside, it looked like a small neighborhood bar. But once we stepped inside, the vibe completely changed. Bright lights, a welcoming atmosphere, and a lively bar area. The hostess greeted us right away, which was a relief since my hunger was hitting hard. We checked out the specials and ordered two classics: a flatbread pizza and a Philadelphia cheesesteak. As an Eagles fan, I couldn't resist testing how a Harrisburg area cheesesteak stacked up against Philly's best. And if you know me, you know I take pizza seriously think ninja turtle levels of dedication.‍ The pizza came out crisp and well-done, but the cheese was a bit skimpy, leaving me wanting more. The cheesesteak, unfortunately, didn't quite hit the mark either. Luckily, a cold beer and the friendly staff helped balance out the disappointment. What impressed me most was the atmosphere. Brewhouse Grill works for just about anyone: families looking for a quiet meal, sports fans wanting to catch a game at the bar, or summer crowds enjoying the covered deck with a DJ. That summertime setup sounds like a whole different experience, and I'm eager to come back when the weather warms up. Final Verdict: The food didn't wow me, but the service and atmosphere make Brewhouse Grill worth checking out especially in the summer when the deck and DJ bring the place to life. read more

We were here with a larger than normal group. To get a table was a nightmare. The hostess was very apologetic. And thank us for our patience. The table service was extremely slow. 20 minutes in and no live person, this place was so loud and busy you couldn't hear yourself think. To get our order take was slow also. Apparently they were under staffed. Now in their defense in was February13 on a Friday.Are meals came out in decent time. All were correct. Flavor for price was good. I recommend the crab cakes. Everyone in my group raved about the fish tacos on special Tuesday night. I don't like fish, so I ordered the small plate mac n cheese with crab. It did not have enough crunch on top with bread crumbs so I asked for crackers. I was brought 3 packs of Ritz crackers which really enhanced the crunch without changing the flavor of the delish dish. Our party of eight was seated inside (we had a reservation) - quiet enough, and nice table location. Several of our family members got different kinds of chicken sandwiches, and I got the blackened burger. Could've used more blackening seasoning on the burger, but it was still good. My wife lived her salad with the pomegranate dressing. Waitress was very nice. Would like to have sat on the back deck, as it was a nice Saturday evening, but they do not accept reservations for the outside space. The bathroom next to our table could use a little TLC, but it doesn't detract from dining here. The lump crab cake meal came on a bed of seasonal vegetables of zucchini, carrots and I believe squash. The meal was lightly seasoned. I asked for melted butter and it made a big difference. On September 8th ( my 30th birthday) my friends brought me to this airy establishment. They have a beautiful outdoor seating space, & indoor seating with huge windows that bring in so much beautiful natural light. The food is delish and fairly priced. I had wings and the jambalaya which were so yummy. Also, their mini beers are so yummy, make sure to grab a few. It's pretty much beer with a topping of sweet cold foam. Service was okay, it was busy so our waitress was a bit overwhelmed but that won't stop me from coming back. A def must visit for game days. read more

This was my first time visiting the Brewhouse Grill, and while I was excited to try it, I left feeling disappointed. The appetizers were delicious, and the drinks were solid, which started things off on a good note. However, my entrée was pretty lackluster and didn't live up to expectations. The salads were a bit odd--I've never seen a Caesar salad served with the dressing on the side, which took away from the flavor. The service was good, but overall, the experience just didn't stand out enough for me to want to return. From the outside you wonder but pleasant atmosphere inside. read more

I work in the area a lot and this is pretty close to where I stay - I had no idea it existed!! I'm so glad a coworker talked us into trying it out. I'm a little late with the review but it was early fall when we went so the weather was still gorgeous. We sat out on the beautiful back deck which was awesome. The service was pretty good, they checked on us often. The food though! We started with the Stromboli keg rolls which were super flavorful and crispy. I got the sweet Thai chicken which was a little bit spicy but super good. Their portions are HUGE I could have shared with someone easily, so keep that in mind - next time I think I'll try a couple appetizers instead of an entree. Great experience, very casual. Checked out the Brewhouse on a warm Monday evening in October and it didn't disappoint. I've been eating here for many years but haven't been in probably 2 years and I've never had a bad meal. We were early (5:00) so we sat out on the roomy deck because it was so warm. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and while they don't offer happy hour pricing, according to the server, the glass was a nice sized serving of wine ($6). I also ordered the seared Sesame encrusted Ahi Tuna dinner. It came with a side salad and I chose the house dressing which is a blue cheese balsamic. It sounded better than it tasted, in my opinion. The Ahi was delicious and came with black rice and a mango chutney. It was cooked perfectly (rare) and it was really good. read more

We did Brewhouse Grille as a team dinner while playing in a soccer tournament near Lancaster. We really liked this place. They did a great job accommodating around 35 people in our group. The place is relatively small, but has a cool old tavern feeling. The servers were really good with our group, attentive and friendly. We got a mix of wings, sandwiches, dips, and salads. I wanted a little lighter fair so I went with the chicken Caesar wrap. It was better than I anticipated. My wife had a chicken pesto sandwich that she loved. read more

Wow. This place looks so unassuming from the outside (and inside with its old style tables, chairs, and laminated menus) so we didn't expect gourmet food. We were shocked at how good everything was. We got the lobster Mac to start off and sheesh - it was full of meat and was a huge portion for $16. We also got mozzarella moons that were very delicious and $10. We didn't get good pics of these because we were starving. For entrees we got the pan seared salmon which was so tender, juicy, and flaky. It was served with wilted spinach and a crab and asparagus risotto. Incredible and a HUGE portion of salmon. We also got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries and it was also a huge portion. The fries were sooo crispy and delicious, especially with their ranch. The chicken fillet made the bun look comically small. The bun was a little soggy but the sandwich was still delicious. The crowd here (and the staff) make you feel like you're a local. There's a quality number of beers on tap and a good amount of sitting areas for whatever kind of evening you're looking to have. I found this place by chance, doing a Google search on where to find a beer in Mechanicsburg. From the outside and the parking lot, it doesn't seem like there is much to brag about, but the further into the lot you drive, you'll soon see the huge open-air sports bar, which seemed quite popular. After a long day of travel, we opted for a quieter atmosphere inside. Our server was super friendly and helpful. I had a Smithwick's that was tall, cold and delicious. I wasn't overly hungry, so I chose the loaded fries appetizer for dinner. When it came, there was enough for four of us! It was a bit overcooked, or sat under a warming lamp for too long, but it was tolerable with a lot of cheddar and bacon bits, and a single dollop of sour cream in the middle. My husband had the two crabcake with apple and grilled corn salsa dinner. It was delicious. The crabcakes were large and almost filler free. The dinner came with a small salad, so no dessert for us, we left there stuffed! We liked it so much, we went back with my parents the following Sunday. The parking lot was crowded -- for the sports bar. It was 1:30, and we were seated right away, again, opting for the quieter dining room. The crabcorn chowder ppetizer I had wasn't as hot a temperature as I would have liked, but the flavor was nice, with just a bit of a spicy bite. It was almost chunky enough to eat solely with a fork. My father indicated that the meatball sliders he ordered were "adequate," but that said, he also ate each one (of three) with relish, and in a short amount of time. My mother ordered chicken parm, and was totally overwhelmed by the large, full plate she received. Needless to say, she'll have leftovers for days to come. She indicated the flavor was good. The bit of spaghetti and sauce I had was very good. I had the Seared Blackberry Scallops over risotto with pancetta. They were delicious! The sauce has a kick to it, so after the first bite,I scraped much of the sauce off, so as not to overwhelm the delicate flavor of the scallops. As you can see from the picture, I found them to be so delicious, I almost ate them all before thinking to take a picture. I'm not really a fan of risotto, and, this was a little on the thick side, but the creamy flavor was a nice accompaniment, and the pancetta really drew me in. Yum! My husband had the Crab cake again, this time opting for only one, while adding an appetizer of Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese. He devoured the crab cake, again totally yum, like the first time, and managed 3-4 bites of the mac and cheesebefore crying uncle. He was full. I highly recommend the Brewhouse Grille. Nice people, good food and not outrageous prices. Try it -- you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

Hands down the best wrap I've ever had!! I order the chicken bacon ranch and asked for it in a wrap instead of on a bun and it was delicious! The fries were also PERFECT & the pickle was just right. I got a Shirley temple "to go" (they didn't have lids but I made do) and that was also just right! The bartender working that checked me out was working her first shift & she was so sweet & friendly! I was highly impressed and pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We thought it would be a dive bar type of environment, but it actually had quite a romantic feel on the inside with candles adorning the tables and beautiful lighting on one side, and a sports bar on the other. We were seated immediately and were waited on in a timely manner. The food came out very quickly. I got the Meet Your Maker burger, which was amazing! It was a hardy portion and definitely did not skimp on any ingredients. The onions, mushrooms, and pickle definitely brought it all together. My fiance got the salmon sandwich, which was extremely fresh and also did not skimp on ingredients. Both of our sandwiches came with fries, possibly the best fries we've ever had. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the perfect amount of salt. The prices were amazing for the portion sizes received. My husband and I went here for dinner on Valentine's Day. For our meal, we had crab and spinach dip for our appetizer, a snowflake martini as our drink, and I got the south side burger. The food arrived at our table quickly and we were so impressed by how much food they gave us for the price we paid for. Everything tasted amazing and our waitress Jenna was so nice! On the south side burger, there was a fried egg and fries, which added so much flavor to the burger, definitely up there as one of my top three burgers of all time! Sorry no photos! But you aren't missing much. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad. Location works out well for me because it's close to one of our offices, so very convenient for a quick lunch break. Pretty difficult to mess up a basic salad, but the chicken wasn't over cooked and the dressing was served on the side. Which I don't mind because often times salads are overdressed for me.
