Definitely not my first time at round table especially this one but it will be my last. The service I received was less than par. I really usually enjoy going and getting the lunch buffet but I had received an email for happpy hour directly from Dana Point location. I went to go and the person taking my order acted like he knew nothing about it and was going off how they don't participate in happy hour blah blah blah. I had to pull up the email and show him and still didn't believe me. Worst service I've ever received there. I will definitely be NOT going back or ordering delivery. So I'm not a bad review person but I moved across the street a year ago and frequent semi often. Food is always great, staff has always been lovely. I went on line tonight to order a pepperoni pizza for pick up. It said starting at $10.99 and jumped to $23.99. No big deal I called to confirm price, the manager, main lady I recognize her voice, answers phone. I ask how much a single topping pizza is, she says a price even more than online, so I start to ask about the price, not caring either way, just trying understand, fully prepared to order my pizza so my girls can grab it soon. She cuts me off and say then just look on line and straight up hangs up on me!!!! I've been in customer service my whole life and sadly will now Never patron this establishment again. It's a rather small but clean restaurant I counted like about 4 booths which is only comfortable for a party of four, Few small tables, non working Or off mode TV disappointing. Our favorite pizza place. We've had them all and I'm telling you Round Table is the best. Better than the newcomers, Mod and Blaze and don't even compare RT to pizza hut, little Caesars, or dominoes. I dare to stay it even beats high end Neopolitan style pizzas and high end italian restaurants. What makes it better? The sauce...there actually is some. For some reason lots of pizzas have minimal sauce. And the sauce has a nice zest to it...it's not spicy marinara, but there's something extra there. And the cheese. I have been to 2 different locations & both were so different. The Dana Point location in my opinion is not one of the best. I gave them a 2nd try but will not be back. . The pizza does not compare to the San Clemente location. The pizza dough did not seem cooked thoroughly & was way to thick. But the garlic parmesan chicken wings were a joke. It was like they sprinkled garlic on the wings & just threw shredded parmesan on top. See picture. Overpriced for the quality you get at the Dana Point location. We delivered a pizza online and selected "no contact". The pizza came and the driver rang the doorbell and was banging on the door. I just had surgery and my husband stepped out of the house with our oldest 2. I've gotten the lunch buffet here a number of times now. Met the owner the first time, and he bent over backwards to make sure my fiancee and I were super happy. The salad bar is fantastic. Worth the $8 just by itself. Super fresh greens and spinach, bacon, whole hard boiled eggs, fresh cheddar cheese, excellent croutons... the toppings go on and on. Then (unlike the Round Table Pizza on Aliso Creek Rd in Laguna Niguel), they took orders for whatever gourmet pizzas we wanted, and made them and put out at the buffet. When other people came in, they asked what kind of gourmet pizzas THEY wanted, and put those at the buffet even though there was still pizza there. They made fresh cheese bread and came around table to table offering it to the patrons. Next time I have $8 to burn and a craving for pizza, I'm driving past the Aliso Creek Rd location and driving the extra 10 minutes to the Dana Point location. read more

This is average pizza. They offer a lunch buffet with a decent sized salad bar. The wings are actually decent cause typically they aren't good at pizza places. I come from NYC so I'm used to good pizza. The pizza is just average. It's great if you need a fast pie to just feed people. For the price though, I was wanting more. Staff was really friendly. We ordered a large bbq chicken and a large mushroom, onion, bell peppers both on regular crust. Honestly the vegi pizza was one of the worst if not the worst pizza I ever had. The bbq chicken was also bad. I'll say that the bbq chicken was a 5 out of 10. The vegi was a 2. I've never had a pizza that I had one pc of and said this is so bad I'm not having more. I posted a review recently because I had only ONE unsatisfactory experience. I am trying to deleat it because my review was addressed by the management immediately. The management contacted me and were very kind, apologized and I was happy to give them another try. My husband and I revisited Round Table Pizza and everything I was unhappy about before was changed. The salad bar was impeccably fresh and clean, the restaurant was clean and inviting and the pizzas were AMAZING! They were made to perfection with just the right amount of yummy pizza sauce, melted hot mozzarella cheese and a generous portion of toppings. I'm very happy to have given them another try. Every business in these times are facing short staffing problems and it's not easy. I love this neighborhood pizza restaurant and highly recommend anyone who hasn't been there to go and recommend anybody who had a not so great experience to give it another try like I did. Ordered a pizza online for delivery, along with some wings and garlic twists. The wings and garlic twists were good, but the pizza was burnt. The bottom of the crust was almost inedible. Had I been eating the pizza there, it would have been sent back. The pizza should have never been allowed to leave the store. It was also cut very poorly, with some slices very large and others very thin. 2 stars only because I know Round Table pizza is usually amazing. I love the pizza. But the Dana Point location sent a burnt pizza instead of making a new one. No excuse for that, I'll think twice before ordering here again. UPDATE: From 2 stars to 5! The manager contacted me and wanted to make things right. I've since ordered from them again and the food was great! Back to the same amazing pizza and wings I'm use to. But please make sure the staff knows that burnt crust doesn't taste good and they need to remake it instead of sending it out. read more

Being from Chicago, I guess I'm a bit if a pizza snob when I come out to Cali. I've tried a dozen or so places as north as San Francisco and as south as San Diego and was never really that impressed. I was recently vacationing out in Dana Point and tried Round Table. Being a chain I wasn't expecting anything crazy good, but I was seriously impressed! They did a solid job with the crust. Been a customer of this location for the past 8 years; the last 3 months have gone soooo downhill. Orders are exceptionally late during non-peak times (up to 90 min) and arrive cold. My last two orders have been incorrect. Their circa-1996 website took away the ability to even order online from this location as well. The discounts are very limited and, in many times, barely even noticeable. Simply put, there is no reason to order the highest-priced pizza on the planet from this location anymore. I grew up on Round Table and I paid for the higher prices because I liked it. Now the value is non-existent and I will get a better quality pizza from GrubHub or Uber Eats. And have more options for sandwiches, salads, etc. And prob save money. So maybe the terrible service of this location is a good thing? read more

Told me 30-35 min delivery. An hour later I called to check up on my pizza. They told me another 13 min. 25 min later I called again Alandra told me it would be soon and did not know how much longer. I asked her to refund me my order, she would not even offer to reimburse for one pizza and still deliver. I get it, young people knowing nothing about customer service, but its not helping me get my pizza I was craving!
