Was sitting outside and Jersey Mikes and Nalu's share a front patio. Asked the nice gentleman working at Nalu's if the patio was joint use as we had a party of 6 and would need to move some tables around. He said they were and have at it. Got everything situated when a large gentleman with greasy curly hair burst out of Jersey M's and yelled at me to move one of the tables back. I told him that Nalu's said the tables were shared and we had 6 people. He said he didn't care and to move it back right now. Tried speaking to him in a polite manner but the kook kept up his overly rude act. Complete A-hole and sadly JM's has lost any future visits from our rather large family. I placed an online order for pickup at 12:30 PM. When I arrived, the designated pickup area was completely empty--even though the app clearly instructed me to go there, and there is a clearly marked shelf labeled "Pickup Orders." There was a long line, and not wanting to cut ahead of other customers, I waited nearly 15 minutes to speak with someone. When I reached the counter, I was told that online orders were actually being held near the cash register and that I was expected to go there directly and cut the line. This directly contradicts both the app's instructions and the clearly labeled pickup area. The communication was poor, and the employee acted as though I should have known this, without offering an apology. The store felt disorganized and understaffed. To be fair, the employees who were working appeared to be doing their best and working hard--but the system in place caused unnecessary confusion and wasted time. Since Covid, I wouldn't bother writing a negative review of a sandwich shop. However, Jersey Mike's is a chain and there is a boss somewhere who cares. Hope he or she sees this. Two employees: Big guy has lousy attitude. Smaller man hard working, friendly, polite. Big guy needs remedial customer service training. Had we not been so hungry, we would have left. I went to pick up a doordash order. The cashier told me they are making it now. They were pretty busy with about 10 people in line. After waiting and watching for my order for over 10 minutes, I asked cashier again, if they are making it, because I had 2 other orders in my car to be delivered, and could have left to deliver other orders, and came back. Big guy with long black curls, was making sandwiches next to him, started yelling at me, that I am lazy? To get a real job and 1 doordash order is not important. Could not believe he yelled and carried on that way in front of all those customers? He angerly turned around, ripped my order off the printer, threw a sandwich together, and threw it to me on the counter and told me to get the f*ck out? I was shaking, embarrassed and in tears when I left. I would report it to the manager, but he probably is the manager? I felt very unsafe, and will never go there again to pick up and order or to eat there. This guy needs serious anger management. read more

I have seen roomier Jersey Mike's (like the one in Mission Viejo) but they have outdoor seating. 4 The location is a little tucked away but at least there is plenty of parking around. There is a The Habit burger place nearby and a few other eateries. Also a Stater Bros down the block. Staff: The staff is new but friendly and fast. 5 Price: Is the standard for Jersey Mike's and pretty much industry for the higher quality sandwich providers. Quality: These sandwiches are FRESH and tasty. 5 Value: Large size for a large price. Be prepared to take the rest of it home or finish it after work. There are cheaper things to eat at fast food places but I would associate fast food with Subway, Jersey Mike's is a quality above that and this branch lives up the standard of the franchise. 5 read more

This is definitely one of the better locations! I called my order in and it was ready for pick up exactly at the time promised. Prices are a bit higher than other sandwich shops, but the large sandwich is plenty for two people to share or for two meals. The bigger the cheesesteak is our favorite item here, we usually sub provolone for Swiss cheese and add some of the hot peppers. Food is good, but service was rude. As a customer who doesn't frequent Jersey Mike's, i wasn't familiar with all their processes and acronyms (like a made-up word that is supposed to mean "salt pepper vinegar oil?") I encountered four different staff and they all treated me the same way. Rather than explain and be patient, they would just annoyingly rapid-shoot the same shortened words as though I were an untrained nuscience they had to put up with. Customers don't want to be trained - they want to be served with kindness. I felt really small and even ended up just saying "yes" to order questions I didn't understand. Hot & Gooey, this big kahuna cheesesteak surpassed my tastebuds' expectations with a River of warm, melted cheese, jalapeños & meat. Mind you, this isn't Pat's King of Steaks or Geno's but, it's the best you're gonna get at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night in San Clemente, CA. I was really happy. It was hot, cheesy and tasted like they just made it. My wife, a self-proclaimed veggie sammich connoisseur, expected mediocrity and held little reservations in telling me so as I passed her postage packaging brown bag to her side of the couch. She finished most of her sandwich and with pleasant surprise said, "That was actually pretty good; Much better than I expected from a big chain." THAT is what made me write this post. It made my wife happy. When she's hangry her personality suffers crisis but not this time. So thank you Jersey Mike's. My husband and I are huge Jersey mike fans....in particular the number 9! My husband stopped on the way home to bring us a giant to share! I was completely disgusted by what I saw!! The Roast beef was literally raw...so bad I took a few bites thinking it was tomato and then quickly realized it was bright red meat! I'm all about pink roast beef, but this was so bad I couldn't eat it for fear of getting sick!! It's hot right now in SoCal. Hot enough to not want to cook dinner. Tonight, 9/8/22, I decided to stop and see if the location was still open. It was, until 8, and when I came in, there was a long line. I considered leaving as I didn't want to add to the amount of people waiting, especially when I saw there were only two people working behind the counter. Like I said, there was a line and some people were buying multiple sandwiches, giant ones at that. I was the fourth one in line and then three people came in looking for their mobile orders. The young woman working there, whose name I unfortunately did not learn, was kind and attentive to everyone who was waiting. Let me change that, she was AMAZING. I have never in my life seen someone hustle the way she did to get sandwiches out to those looking for them. She had the orders for the customers in the store down, without forgetting anything, plus putting a mobile order in in between. She had that assembly line going with military like precision. She was back and forth, checking on items, helping her coworker, baking more bread as they were nearly out, and all while being helpful, engaging, and patient. She was a rockstar. A man had an order that was nearly complete and then said to cancel it, walking out angrily and I saw her take it in and remain calm, even though I'm sure she felt like screaming. She had made the food, used the bread available, and now it was for naught as other customers waited patiently. She didn't say anything against him or let on that she was upset, but continued working to get the task at hand completed. The order was finished, as it was seconds away from being done, and set to the side to see if someone else might want it. Then the man came back in and said to un-cancel it and was handed his meal. Again, she didn't lose her cool or say "if you had just waited." His meal was handed to him and she wished him a good evening and thanked him while also apologizing for it taking so long. I don't know if I could have been so gracious. She made more bread, which to me said a lot. It was nearly 7 and the place closed at 8. She could have said that they were out and offered only wraps, but she didn't. She brought out fresh, hot bread to make the next order, the heat felt through her gloves, but she pushed through to get it done. She was a rockstar. As I said, I had wanted to leave at different moments, not wanting to add to the stress, or to take from others as the supply was dwindling, but once she started that perfect assembly line, I had to stay and see how it played out. I was not disappointed because she was magnificent. I don't know her name, nor the man working with her, but they both, her in particular, need to be aware of how amazing they did under extreme pressure. Aside from the one man, everyone in the store was kind, patient, and understanding especially after seeing her hustle and get the job done. She was truly a sight to behold at her ability to multitask and get the orders out with such precision. Although, every time I eat at this location I get sick the next day. 1 Star For 1) Hygiene - If staff are to wear gloves to make the sandwiches, it's disgusting to turn around and answer the phone, get paper supplies, etc, then finish touching and making the sandwich. Well, who doesn't, right? So, yes. Yes, I would love the Parm Rosemary bread. I can't leave a review on that particular bread since I have yet to try it. The previous time I told the order taker to make sure I get the correct bread because of what happened the time before that. Yeah, wrong bread. Again. This is a brand new location for Jersey Mike's subs in San Clemente. I have never been to a Jersey Mike's before but I have been to Mike's subs in New Jersey. Today we ordered the meatball sub and the Italian. Both sandwiches were authentic and filled with flavor and delicious. We went tandem boogie boarding after having the subs and had plenty of energy to ride dozens of waves.
