I haven't been pizza at Round Table for a while. My family and I used to dine there when I was a kid and they had arcade machines at that time. Today, they surprised us with pizza and because I didn't had a chance to go inside, I don't know if they still have arcade machines though. Pizza still doesn't disappoints me. Cheese is very chewy as well as other ingredients. Also the pizza crust isn't big but that's ok though. That's very good news for people who don't eat crust. A person answered the phone was polite, helpful, and pleasant to talk to. She's been up sold me with some jalapeño poppers. The pizza is ready about when they said it would be. Pizza was good and crispy and had plenty of ingredients on it. I do wish it had a little bit more sauce. That being said I'll be back. I felt bad about not giving this franchises drivers work - so today I ordered from their website, gave a little tip, and noticed they use doordash now haha. Feels bad they can't afford to have drivers. There's some differences though. Thru round table app or site, you get exclusive deals, better choices, extra sauce. Doordash menu is limited in comparison but the trade-off here is the round table pizza app offers discounts. However, delivery isn't free. First of all, it's been (7) Years since I had an opportunity to visit and / or "Dine In," at any Round Table Pizza Restaurant. I'm from Austin, Texas (No Round Table Pizza Locations In Texas) & I have to say, this is one of the most hidden treasures that the San Jose / Fremont / Santa Clara area possesses. My pizza was made absolutely perfect, as if I had gone back to the kitchen / oven area, and prepared & cooked it myself. The restaurant itself, was so clean, is very nicely laid out, and welcoming, like it was an independently "Family Owned" type business, that is very well established & has been operating for many . . . many years. They even have old style "Booths" type of seating, to give you that old fashioned family dining type experience. The Round Table Staff greeted me with a smile, as I walked thru the storefront. The young lady at the "Order Counter", was very well prepared to answer any questions about their menu & take my order, as soon as I was ready. The pizza speaks for itself. I mean the freshest toppings & whatever "Secret Family Pizza Sauce Recipe" they've created here, is what really caught my attention. For me, the Pizza Sauce is such a big part of what completes & brings the toppings & crust together. What can I say, it's phenomenal!! I had placed an order for my family and some friends. We all have kids and figured pizza was the best option. In fact ordering pizza from Round Table was the worst case possible. We have two children who have a tomato allergy. So for them they picked the gourmet garlic chicken pizza. When I ordered it I specified NO TOMATOES due to allergies. They assured me there would be no tomatoes on it and the sauce was a white base garlic sauce that didn't contain any tomatoes. Upon opening the pizza box the pizza not only had tomatoes all over it, it also had traditional pizza sauce which was a tomato base. So the kids weren't able to have pizza. I also ordered a salad with various toppings they had. I chose hard boiled eggs as a salad topping. Completely horrified when I opened the salad and the eggs were completely rotten. I have absolutely never seen eggs rotten like this. Our order was $87 and nothing was edible at all. When order was placed the worker was far from pleasant. She was exceptionally rude! How can you work with people who are supporting your business and be so rude!? The restaurant itself was a complete disaster. There was liquid spilt all over the floors and tables weren't wiped down. Several tables sat with plates, pizza pans, cups, napkins, and other trash the whole time I sat and waited for the order. This was the 3rd Round Table Pizza we tried to dine in at Sunday night. First one in San Jose was awful. Closing time of 9:30pm and at 8:30pm they already had all the chairs up on the tables, ready to shut down for the night. Went to a 2nd Google Map location, not there any more. Finally we got to this on around 9:00pm, still had people in it. Ordered 2 extra large specialty pizzas. Both came out promptly and tasted great. Servers were courteous. We were the last guests left since we came in so late, but no one hurried us. They blinked the lights at 10:00pm to let us know that they are closed but no one bothered us about it. Horrible service!!! Called and ordered a pizza for delivery directly from Round Table, I waited over an hour and called in to find out that they sent the pizza out with DoorDash. The pizza never arrived , which is why I called. The manager on duty who refused to give me his name, asked me was I sure I didn't have the pizza and ended up hanging up on me. I called back and expressed my disappointment and mentioned filing a complaint and he said, Do what you have to do" and hung up on me again. As mentioned in my review of the Mission Blvd location, Round Table is the pizza joint of my youth. Even though the decor is from the 90's and the pizza is expensive, I keep going back because of the nostalgia, the red sauce in their cheese pizza, and the garlic twists. I've only done takeout and delivery from the Fremont Blvd location, but this location has a certain quality about it that gives it 1 more star. Not sure exactly what it is, but it feels like the inside is a little brighter, the pizza is a little hotter, the red sauce has a little more zing, and the garlic twists a bit garlic-ier. This place makes good pizza, but the owner is really bring this place down by over charging customers. Whenever I order through app, whatever discounts were available are adjusted. They don't give me original price, the create a new ticket always adding an extra 1-3 $ charge before tax. When I mentioned this to manager. Saying sorry is not enough when; a business schedules an order for the next day and it is put on the schedule for a month later, the order does not show up on correct date, the day after you placed it. The customer calls only to find out the scheduler set up the order for a month later. The re-order delays lunch an hour and 20 mins. And all you get is a VERBAL SORRY. Ok, get over it. But then the restaurant does not cancel the incorrect schedule of the order and it appears at your work front door on a Sunday with a duplicate receipt. You go to the restaurant to explain in person that a credit is needed and they re-assure you it wasn't charged to the corp. credit card. Again, for all your trouble and inconvenience all you get is a VERBAL SORRY. Where is the customer relations and loyalty compensation. Offer me a 20% discount on my next Corp. order. Nothing but a VERBAL SORRY, for my time away from office and all the hassle and inconvenience. This used to be an OK pizza place. I moved into the neighborhood about 30 years ago I always preferred the Centerville location but this was closer and used to be good. What has happened? Zero complaints about Davinder and his choices of making and placing ROUND TABLE ON THE MAP IN FREMONT CALIFORNIA However I only give the FIVE STARS to DAVINDERS LEGACY NOT CORPORATE. We actually stopped eating pizza for 6 months or so and just recently came back and let me tell you how RUDE unfortunately that the corporate order takers are especially when placing a phone order. My goodness get with it and take notes from Davinder already. Rude corporate people aren't going to bring us any satisfaction with service at all. BEWARE ! If I could 0 stars I would, I ordered a large pizza from here and there was MULTIPLE strands of hair baked inside the cheese. I attempted to quietly dispute, and was advised that the driver would come to grab the pizza, and a refund the money. I was advised not to take a picture because they would be issuing a refund. Thank God I took a picture anyway. Driver came to pick up the pizza. Did not say anything, ask any questions, and no one even apologized for the inconvience. A few hours later, I called back because no one reached out. The general manager had the audacity to answer the phone and say "This is not Round Table Pizza.
