In agreeable with others, this place is disgustingly alarming. While my interaction with employee was vague, it's was noticeable. Arrived for pickup, didn't know where my order was. Then it was there. Then they forgot items. Let me tell you this. That pizza, smelled awful. Have you smelt bad pizza? I never have. This was bad. Should have been my next clue. Nope, proceeded to eat a piece. It was rancid. Actually rancid. Sour tomatoes and rotten fish. Pizza sauce was atrocious. It tasted like rotten tomatoes with a pinch of salt. They didn't even try to disguise it. There was no other flavor profile. No seasoning, no robust flavors. Just rancid tomato and salt. I added anchovies to mine. When done right, it's phenomenal. These were not done right. Anchovies were rotten and expired. Complete mush and stunk like no other. Anchovies are great on pizza, they don't have a fishy scent or rancid scent, when fresh or even stored properly. Further, if you even remotely expect a crust, even after reading this, good luck. They conserve crust. It's just a slab of dough layered in sauce and toppings that aren't fresh. I can see why no one says "let's get round table" because it's awful. I'm grateful I got a 50% coupon for a pizza before ordering. Had I spent $35 for a single pizza, I'd be livid. read more

Worst pizza that I've had in a while. The pizza was flavorless even after sprinkling pepper and garlic salt on it. Also, the bottom of the pizza was burnt and the bottom of the crust looked like the large crisp crackers that you get in either Mediterranean/Middle Eastern supermarkets. I'm glad that I only bought the smallest pizza that you can buy there. The guy working at the register said my name incorrectly, but he was nice. Burned black pizza and wrong pizza out of 2 ordered pizza. I ordered a personal cheese pizza for my little daughter and a Chicken Garlic pizza with cheese-stuffed-crust from the store in Laguna Niguel, CA - La Paz Rd. They burned the cheese pizza so bad that I had to drive back and have it changed. I go to Round Table a lot in San Diego. It's pretty much our favorite pizza place. While recently visiting my Mom, we tried this location for the first time. I was disappointed with the order when got home. The main issue was that everything in yellow on the attached receipt was missing from the pizza/order. It also had a ton of sauce for which I am not a fan. When I told them about it, they were annoyed and argumentative, but did say they would issue a refund for the missing items. However, the refund "would take 3 days to process as they had to phone it in". Uhh ok? It's been 2 weeks now and no refund was received. Total BS. Won't be going back to again. read more

I've only ordered at this particular location (never ordered delivery), but the food is exactly what you would expect - the best! I hate to do this but I'm so disappointed. Last time i ordered from you it was AMAZING, I'm not sure what happened this time but my garlic bread was burnt and my pizza was so rock hard. My husband had talk to the owner i don't know if it's because we ordered before they were closing or what happened but we were so sad it was like night and day from last time to this time. Super sad because we were all raving about it last time. Hopefully just a bad day but we couldn't even finish it it was so hard for our toddler and us. We just tried the cauliflower crust pizza. It is one of the best from the restaurant that sell cauliflower crust. We have tried many and also make it at home. I've been a fan of Round Table pizza for decades. My enjoyment began in the '80s in Santa Cruz/Capitola at the 41st Avenue store. Now I've been ordering from this local store in a strip mall for several years and the workers have always been polite & create excellent tasting pies. It's a small place, one inside table and no seating outside so it's basic to-go. I live not too far away, I always order online for pick-up and never had a problem, so I can't speak to delivery. We ordered pizzas for Monday Night football with an expected time of delivery, according to the app at 9:00 pm. They took the credit card payment and billed the card (I receive text notices from my bank). Then at 9:15 PM we called. Verizone said their phone wasn't working. So, hungry and the game now over, we decided to drive down to the store to check on the order. They closed at 8:30 pm! How screwed up are they. Now we've paid for two pizzas and neither arrived but they were paid. Ever since this store was purchased a while back it has gone downhill. I'm not going back and they will for sure receive a call from me. And I'll probably let the franchise know as well. We tried using their app and it just didnt work and we are very angry. I call over to make sure they include ranch with my delivery. The guy tells me that if I paid online, he cant change my order. I told him I wasnt trying to change my order, I just wanted to make sure we got some ranch and some pepper flakes. He tells me he cant because they charge for ranch. I dont even have a problem paying for the ranch at this point but he tells he cant charge me for it because I already paid... After a year from being disappointed I tried again yesterday and they are new owners and my extra large original with pepperoni sausage extra cheese with zesty sauce was delicious. Personal size is 7.99 and not a good deal for 4 small pieces but I was craving it. 3 parm garlic twist breads will cost you 3.99 which is more than a buck each... you could get a garlic bread from the market for better value The food when hungry can easily be devoured Its not bad in fact I pulled the hair out and moved to the next piece with eyes closed... Ordered through Door Dash last night. Pizza was ok. Skinny crust I usually like was just ok. Zesty sauce was just ok. And not especially zesty. Or saucy. I did select regular sauce but it tasted and looked more like easy sauce. Unfortunately, pizza was just ok too. I got half Hawaiian. I love Canadian bacon but these were the biggest slices kind of just folded up and thrown on the pizza. Along with canned pineapple that had large handfuls dropped here and there. No complaints from the better half. Mine. Just kidding. We ordered half and half. Said toppings were just thrown on with no consistency. And that was all he said. Maybe it was because I wasn't feeling so great and had been gone all week kicking it at the hospital. Or...it just wasn't all that good. Ordered a salad with, and I could be wrong but, homemade croutons. Pretty sure that was what the menu advertised. The salad consisted of very large cut (mostly through) lettuce leaves, large slices of cucumber I used to dip in my dressing, thick slices of very dry Roma tomato slices and buckets of shredded carrots. No croutons. No nothing else. I just got out of the hospital and for whatever reason I wasn't allowed to eat most veggies. Only carrots. Don't ask. I don't know. They do slice their carrots though and don't shred them. Fortunately for the salad, we may be able to rehab it into something that makes you want to eat it. Or not. I really was looking forward to a salad. Guess it just wasn't this one. Doubt we will be back to Round Table. Way too many better choices out there to waste time, money and taste buds on so-so food. read more
