The place was very dirty. The employee making the pizza wore gloves, but after handling the food, he left to sweep and mop the floors, then returned to the kitchen and continued making pizza without changing his gloves or washing his hands. Another employee repeatedly went to the back and kept slamming the door, creating a disruptive and unprofessional atmosphere. Over this place . The quality and service has really declined the past few years . Delivery times are always way off and the pizza is always cold . Tonight our order took nearly 90 minutes. I had to call after an hour and they promised it was in the oven and will be here in 15 minutes . It was cold to the touch . 2 pizzas cold to the touch . Like it was sitting there for at least 45 minutes ! I can deal with long wait times if communicated but it was not communicated.Don't make the pizza until it's ready to be delivered ! I have placed 2 delivery orders through my company with this Round Table Pizza...and this last order will be the last one we place. Both times the orders have not shown up at the time I requested, and both times I have had to call and ask where the order is. Today I called and the person who answered said he had to check with the store manager, and when he took me off hold said "it will be there in 10 minutes." How interesting considering this Round Table is 7 minutes away from my office...which has me wondering were they planning on never delivering my pizza and hoping my company forgot? Growing up in Palo Alto (and Mountain View) , I recall seeing this when turnping from Middlefield Rd to Colorado. My parents were never pizza ppl so we never went there. Present day, I decided to check out with family, since my aunt and uncle still live in the neighborhood. It is it's own building next to 7-11 and a Safeway is behind it, Walked in and was greeted with an employee behind the register standing in silence. No greeting such as a "Hi" or "Hello" but just a stare. Moving forwzrd, order was placed. We had to repeat a couple of times (as it was kitchen fan loud). After paying, we found a table in a room with several tables and a TV. The room was good for a group and big family or several groups. A little claustrophobic but manageable. After maybe 15-20 minutes, order was walked to the table. After he left, i went to cashier and asked for Black pepper at the cashier area, as no condiments were on the table, except for a napkin dispenser. I was told they dont have black pepper. WHAT? no black pepper. is their a shortage I didn't hear. The staff person was so blunt that I felt I did something strange. I like to add black pepper on my salad and a whisper on my pizza slice. Also, please don't wait for a customer to ask twice to refill a salad bar item. We asked once as soon as we realized it needed to be refilled. and they said OK. Then when the guy dropped off the pizza, we had to ask again. The table next to us even said they didn't have rice I didn't even know rice was an option on the salad bar but the customer told her daughter they are not having rice offered so I don't know if it's a common item or an item they did not want to refill at the salad bar. But someone can let me know, and I will adjust or update my review if rice is a common item on their salad bar.. Pizza looked good, but taste left us all thinking it tasted strange. Can't put our finger on it but it left us contemplating if a second slice was in our future. I turned to my salad and ended up treating as my main meal. Since pizza was getting cold and no one took a slice, I packed the rest in a pizza box (as I thought maybe my taste buds were not up to par) Funny thing was the fact that none of us mentioned the odd tasting pizza until we jumped into the vehicle. We all shared the odd taste, but didn't want to say at the table, but we had a loud sharing moment as we drove. It was just a discounting moment for us. More disappointing for me since I was excited to return to my old neighborhood and enjoy dinner, but it was just not in the cards :( Ps. I was also charged twice. the guy said it didn't go through so "do it again" and then saw 2 charges when I got home, for the same exact amount, one minute apart. Got here at 11:00 pm and my wife walks in to order and she was told they don't take orders after 11:00 but yet Yelp says they are open till 2am. The asshole that works there was rude and unprofessional. Taking my business somewhere else. If they don't take orders after 11 then lock the change it on Yelp. Go somewhere else people. Ordered a lot of pizza for the office for Pi Day and I goofed up and had to decrease the amount the day before and the manager John was super helpful in changing my order for me and following up. They delivered the pizza on time and even included lots of cheese, peppers, plates, and napkins. The sides of ranch was a great surprise and everyone had a full belly with fresh hot pizza! read more

We made arrangements to have a late lunch for 24 of us at this Round Table as our 19th hole after a friendly golf tournament that was close by. Round Table still provided the buffet for us even though it was late. The place seemed a little remodeled, clean and they gave us the whole room which was very nice. The service from employee Wazir was EXCELLENT that deserves 5 *****! He had the salad and all the fixings out and many pizza choices; Veggie, Hawaiian, All Meat, Pepperoni, and think there may have been more. The buffet for the pizza and salad was very nice and people just helped themselves. Wazir provided cold cups for the pitcher of beer and soda drinks were included in the buffet. We ordered special orders of wings and I believe there were at least 3 different kinds. This was perfect for a group after playing 19 holes of golf. Took the work crew for the buffet a d nothing was ready. Buffet was at 11am abs we showed up at 11:30. So they had plenty of time to get ready. Salad bar was empty. 2 cold old looking pizzas what's on the buffet table. Soda machine was out of several beverages. Want to preface by noting that I've gone here since I was a kid. I always loved sitting in with family on a tuesday night for discount days eating a good slice with the game on in the background. I will say that nowadays, the food continues to be the main highlight here, but I would NEVER sit in anymore. Now if you're just going for the food for a grab and dip, it's good. Pizza has a good crust, the red sauce has a nice spice to it, it's fantastic. Probably my favorite pizza. However, the interior used to have a lovely ambiance to it. It was warm and inviting, had huge booths for sitting in. I loved bringing people there. Then they remodeled. And you can see that it's been transformed into a warm, inviting, family restaurant into a corporate minimalist hole. Stark black and white that just hurts to look at, boring minimalism, metal paneling on the counters instead of wood. It just... it was such a massive downgrade and I cannot fathom why they ever thought this was a good change to make. I used to go in and see families sitting in there enjoying themselves. I've not seen a single other group in there since they remodeled. So in short, go in, get your food and leave. Don't stick around unless you like blinding white and awful steel chairs while you're trying to enjoy a slice of pizza. read more

Our daughter's soccer team had a break in between games during a tournament in town and it was early enough that we were able to take over the dining room. Place was nicely updated and clean with tv's to watch some college football and the salad bar was stocked and crispy fresh. Pizza was great, really cheesy the kids loved it. Round Table is BACK!!!! Okay so after our disastrous experience, the owner reached out to us and apologized for the occurrence and offered to make things right. Given my history with the company and this location in particular we took him up on the offer and I'm happy to say we had an excellent experience. The service was spot on and the pizza was made perfectly. We went back to our standard for this trip and the results were excllent The Maui: its basically a fancy Hawaiian pizza with the usual ham and pineapple. Add to that bacon, onions, and green onions. Do yourself a favor and skip the 'Polynesian" sauce and stick with their excellent red sauce. Its, smokey, savory, sweet and salty, the crust while thin can be held slice style to eat, but its that right combination of crispy and doughy. If you want to go wild, have then sub the ham for pepperoni. We are happy to have RT back in our regular rotation read more

This place is the best. I have been coming here for literally decades and the pizza is still amazing. As an adult, I appreciate the heritage of this spot. I believe it was the second RT! The whole staff, and specifically Sam, are all so warm and they want you to enjoy yourself. I called on a Friday asking what time the buffet is available and was told 11am-1pm. Buffet wasn't ready for probably 15 minutes after the start. I also asked what vegetarian pizza options are available and was told a veggie pizza and creamy sauce pizza as well. 35 minutes into the buffet there were only meat options. My 3 stars are because a medium size pizza costs $30. I'm happy to pay more for exceptional quality but this doesn't represent good value. I worked here in 1974! I walked in and wasn't greeted,the cashier looked at me and I him, he stood for a minute and then asked me "for pick up or delivery" I said "for here" . He took my order. Ordered the mini combo and a glass of wine. $18+ , kind of expensive. This place is run by a great family , the Larson's. I worked for them before and hope they are doing well. When I order a pizza I don't want pizza not cooked and pizza severe black burned pizza all over top bottom and crust. I don't watch extreme pizza mishandled. They don't follow my instructions. What happened to this place? They use to have food made properly. Golden brown pizza. I have food allergies and is very limited to order food. I was coming here for over 20 years! Not coming anymore. I normally don't like posting negative reviews but tonight I had a very bad experience with this Round Table location. I placed an online order for a large two topping pizza and 2 orders of cheese twist at 6:03pm and the site said the order would be ready by 6:28pm. I arrive at 6:30pm to pick up and the employees told me that my order was not ready and it would be another 10 mins. After waiting 10 mins, I went back in and saw that they had just started prepping the pizza. I waited in the car and called to check after another 10 mins, and sadly my order STILL wasn't ready. The reason they gave was that they were really busy. First off, the store was practically empty and second, there were no other pizzas on the line being prepared. Please be honest about the timings especially if folks have to wait almost 1/2 an hour longer than expected. Second, the employees were a bit rude even though it was not my fault they were running behind. Very sad :( read more

This place looks like it has been around forever. Not a problem. I rather prefer places that stood the test of time. I called in ahead to order a medium pepperoni pizza for me and my 2 nephews. The girl on the phone was really nice and the pizza was ready by the time I got there. Talked to the nice girl that was on the phone earlier and paid. $20 for a medium 1 topping pizza is ridiculously expensive for a chain pizza joint. We grabbed a table in the back room and our pizza is brought to the table. It's burnt around the crust, the pepperoni was burnt, and there is hardly any cheese. It was the saddest pizza I had ever seen, and it tasted as good as it looked. We were starving so we ate 1 slice each to fill our tummies. The back room has a few old school games and a Pacman table, which is really cool. Unfortunately, they also use it as a storage room for all their preassembled pizza boxes. Columns and columns stacked from floor to ceiling in the corner. I kind of understand because the place is very small but it just looks very tacky. They also had a stack of unassembled boxes on top of the Pacman table which I had to move for the boys to play Pacman. Employees are nice. Pizza was bad and expensive. Please fix your pizza, and have some coupons or lower your price, because I would love to come back to this location. read more

This is one of those great little neighborhood pizza restaurants that ooze with nostalgia of days gone by. This is a no-frills little pizza joint. The booths and tables are somewhat dated. The restaurant is small. However, that isn't why you go to a place like this. You go for the pizza. The pizza is good (and the primo pepperoni is fantastic).
