Order a pizza for a big party from the PQ location on Sat at 11am for my daughter's party . Requested a delivery for 7:15pm. Pizza arrived at almost 8pm. I tried calling and was on the phone for 15min while I was driving to the location. I arrived to the location and that's when someone picked up the phone to tell me that there was traffic on the same road I drove which was a lie because there was no traffic at all. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told that the General Manager was delivering my order! So I paid for a $30 dollar delivery but yet I had to drive to find out where my pizza was?!!! read more

Really was in the mood for some pizza but wanted to try something new. Looked up round table with my fiancé and we decided to go since it was down the street. Walked in and the employees greeted us pretty well. Looked for the menu, but saw on their board that there was a meal bundle for two ($24.99) which came with a medium one topping pizza, two salads and cheese bread. We went ahead and ordered that along side some mild buffalo wings. The food took less than 20 minutes and it looked pretty good. The only turn off was when we said "thank you so much!", the server said "mhm". Idk what it is but I always never favored that response, especially in hospitality businesses. Anyway! The pizza was awesome, the salad was a bit warm and lacked dressing (basically just lettuce and cheese, no dressing), cheese bread was ok and the wings were crispy the way I like it! The restaurant had some outdated games in there but was a nice attempt. After we were leaving they didn't fail to send us off with a nice good bye and thank you. The girl Kristin was at the register having a full blown conversation with her friend on my side of the counter using fowl language. So here is my latest experience with RT. Went in here Saturday night with coaching staff and it was crazy busy. Apparently some party was just wrapping up and seating was at a premium to say the least. We stood at the counter waiting to place our order and a pleasant young woman asked how many there were of us. Gave our approximate numbers and she was able to find the room that we needed to fit a good dozen or so of us. Don't know her name but thanks for your help. Here is where it gets weird. Although I like RT's pizza, I like it even better with beer. We ordered a pitcher of beer and it was brought out pretty quick but the only thing that was missing was glasses. The server (different woman) asks how many glasses I need, I tell her and she disappears. I wasn't about to Lady and the Tramp the beer with my coaches by drinking out of straws. We're close...but not THAT close. Anyway, a good 15 minutes goes by, and the pitcher is sitting on the table laughing at me because it is getting warm and I'm not able to enjoy. I go up to the counter and ask our server about the glasses. She indicates that they are in the dryer. Now I didn't grow up with a dishwasher / dryer, in my household, I was both! So in the essence of time, I offered to go back into the kitchen and dry them by hand. I didn't figure it was an unreasonable request however the request was denied. Apparently once the glasses go into the dryer, they don't come out until the timer says they are ready to come out. Now I have to do my walk of shame back to my table, glassless and saddened because now my beer has lost it's fizz. ANOTHER 10 minutes goes buy and yet another server comes to our table and asks if there is anything we need. Me, being my patient self basically points out the fact that I am sitting at a table with a pitcher of beer and nothing to pour the beer into. He apologized profusely and immediately came out with our glasses and a pitcher of beer (on the house). As far as the pizza goes, it was typical RT pizza. Quite dependable and tasty. If there was a manner to give these guys a 0 I would... but I am stuck with a 1. Every year or so I get a craving for Round Table Pizza, not sure why since the pizza is at best subpar and way over priced. Maybe it is because I keep seeing the commercials and they look like something that would be good and I keep forgetting how horrific this place is that keeps bringing me back. After tonight, i remembered why I had not used them for the last year or so. We got in at 7pm, I ordered a personal pan pizza for my daughter and a small pizza for myself. The receipt said that it was 7:08 when the transaction occurred. 40 minutes later... yeah, that is right 40 minutes, longer than a Seinfeld episode, but shorter than a LOST Episode, I got my food. I asked them twenty minutes in where it was and got nothing but a, "We'll look into it." Around the 35 minute mark the manager comes walking by with his "VIP" Book and said that he would put our names in it and the next time that we came in that we would get.. and I cut him off and told him.. I would never be coming back again so not to worry about it. Finally got the two pizzas and left. Customer Service is horrific, the food was edible, but by no means appetizing. I continued on to NY Giant Pizza in PQ to clear my taste buds of the crap that I had ingested at this establishment. Hopefully the people who own Round Table will look into this location and come to the conclusion that they person in charge of it is a freaking idiot and get rid of them. OK, so this is a love/dislike relationship... I LOVE Round Table Pizza, but I really dislike this location. The pizza from Round Table would get 5 stars. They have the best pizza around, if you ask me. At least if you're comparing west coast pizzas... when you add in east coast... you could possibly make an argument that it's not the best, but I'm from San Diego so RT's the best in my book. Their pepperoni pizza... mmmmmmmmmm. That tangy and slightly spicy tomato sauce is the best! This location however.. eh.. I'm very bummed that I'm stuck with this location as my local RT. They used to do a much better job a few years back, but over the last couple of years, they've gone downhill. We order a large half pepperoni/half mushroom all the time, with and without a coupon. Then all of a sudden, they couldn't do a half and half with a coupon! What in the hizzle is up with that? Round Table is already the most expensive pizza around when it comes to the pizza chains and at the top of the most expensive when you add in all the really good independent pizza joints around. I agree with Brad that $40 for two large pies is expensive, but it's worth it for me. I can't do it every week, but once in a while or more often with a coupon.. that's doable. If this location would get their act together and stop frustrating their customers with stupid restrictions on coupons (that cost them nothing), poor delivery service where they consistently forget part of your order and poor phone customer service, I'd give them four or more stars. Wow-- I guess I should have read the Yelp reviews first! Now that I come here, I can see the over-riding theme of the reviews for this particular Round Table. Well let me add to the chorus. I also LOVE Round Table and consider it the best of the chain pizza places. It isn't often that we decide to put health aside and have a sinful pizza night, so when we do, it makes sense to go for the 'good stuff' and that means Round Table. We made this decision at 5:15 pm last night and I phoned our local Round Table and was informed they were really swamped-- delivery would take "at least" 90 minutes. Well we weren't going to wait until 7 pm for dinner, and I was told for pickup it would be ready in 20-30 minutes. So I ordered one very simple Large Pepperoni Pizza. I arrived at 5:45 pm and paid for my pizza. After I paid, I was told "sorry, it isn't ready yet, have a seat". For me, I was patient... I waited and watched the 3 employees answering phones like mad, and asking other walk-in customers to wait because their pizzas were not ready either. Meanwhile, the place was full of kids having trouble with the video games and asking one of the employees over and over for refunds since the video games were eating their quarters. This seemed to be monopolizing his time. Finally at 6 pm I approached the counter because I was becoming concerned maybe my pizza had been forgotten... The one grown-up working there, I am guessing she was maybe the manager, walked back to the bespectacled kid working in the kitchen area, and after a chat came back to me and said my pizza was the 'next ticket' meaning it would be another 10 minutes or so. She apologized and explained to me that three employees had no-showed for the same shift and they were really shorthanded. And she offered me a FREE SODA while I waited, for my troubles. I finally walked out with my pizza around 6:20, an hour after I phoned in the order for a simple, large pizza. I was offered no coupon, no freebie next time... nothing. Sadly, this Round Table is killing itself with terrible service as can easily be seen by the lengthy list of review after review on here. I know we will not be back. There are simply too many delivery and other pizza options around. And a note to all businesses that have crappy service: I DON'T CARE if your employees called in sick. THAT is not my problem. If you say 20-30 minutes, then make it happen. Your H-R situation should not effect me. Period. read more

I remember growing up, and hearing many great things about this place. And believe it or not, I just barely ate here for my first time sometime last year then I went here for a second time the other day. Let me just tell you, that the food here is okay. Quite mediocre food, because there's nothing that really stands out. Just another outdated pizza joint. It really doesn't keep up with the modern demands of San Diego foodies. The pizzas are pretty chunky and they give you a good amount of toppings. I especially like their garlic twists and cheesy bread. Their cesar salad is disgusting. The tables are sticky. I came here fully aware of the 2 star yelp rating and can see how fitting the 2 stars were. The place was empty except for 1 table, so majority of the tables were cleaned off. They were nice enough to change the channel from news to football for us. We ordered 6 wings, a personal pizza and a small pizza, it took like 30 minutes for just the wings to come out, then another 10 for the rest of our pizzas to come out. Apparently that 1 table that was already occupied when we arrived hadn't seen their pizzas for a long time either. The wings and pizza were ok. I normally love Round Table, but this particular location definitely needs help. We ordered pizza from this location for the first time the other night. We were told it would be 50 mins. It took and hour and a half. The pizza was cold, hard, cardboard and pretty much the nastiest pizza I've ever had from a Roundtable. The garlic twists ordered were the same. I'm so disappointed, that I'm skeptical about ordering from them again. It was over 40$ Of wasted food. No one would eat it except for the really drunk guy. It was like day old pizza. So mad. First off, this is a review from someone who LOVES their King Arthur Supreme pizza (we haven't quite nailed down if its the sauce or the meats they use). But Round Table Black Mountain, please please improve your service! We've had ordered phoned in and messed up or lost. We've had orders done online... and messed up or lost. We have coupons from their website for their particular store that they refuse to accept or claim are online only (why does the coupon say "pick-up or delivery only" then?). Food: I got the smokehouse pizza - decent pizza with plenty of meat. I got the thin crust and it was a good choice as the dough didn't swallow all the ingredients and it ended up pretty tasty. My wife got a salad and chicken and buffalo wings with ranch. standard fare. Price: standard - expect to pay anywhere from $10-25 depending on whether you're eating food for 1 or eating for 4. If you order a full sized pizza it can be a little pricey, but if you go during lunch for the pizza buffet or on Tuesday evenings you can get a good deal for pizza, salad, breadsticks for $6.99. This restaurant is NASTY!!! There are fruit flies EVERYWHERE!! There carpets and tables are always filthy. The pizza is alright... ( or so I thought) Highly overpriced, and it seems like the crew hardly every wash their hands before making a pizza. After waiting 1.5 hours for a delivery I finally just called to cancel it bc who has time to wait longer for a pizza to be delivered on a Monday when you are starving and in the middle of a work day?? Awful!!!!!!!! The pizza was nothing like the round table pizza I know, and believe me I've been to several! It was more like cheap little Cesar pizza. I ordered thick crust pizza and it was so thin! I returned the pizza because I thought they gave me thin crust, but the manager told me it was thick, he stated to me that different location's vary in pizza quality, but I responded by telling him that I have been to several round tables in the area and never have I had a deep dish pizza like the one they served. The manager was cool in that he wrote my name on the list for a free pizza but still it was a dissapointment. I would never go back to this location! DON'T EVER Come to this ATROCIOUS PLACE! I wish I could rate NEGATIVE STARS for this place but alas the lowest rating I can give is a 1! I brought my 10 year old daughter with me one night a few weeks back as a reward for getting a good grade on her last math test. We had called in beforehand to order 1 personal pizza for dine in and stated that we would also like to enjoy the buffet. It turns out that we had only picked the WORST NIGHT EVER to come in to this establishment! It was "Family Night" and the place was overrun with screaming children from a Sports team/Birthday and they were making a huge mess everywhere, and there were NO SEATS available! On top of that, the restaurant also seemed terribly understaffed! All of the workers were running around in frenzy along with the multiple numbers of children! It was like some sort of crazy Yours, Mine, and Ours movie gone wrong! One of the supervisors at a cash register finally took our order for the buffet and personal pizza after our long wait in line. We got our personal pizza but it doesn't end there! After a 15 minute waiting period, we STILL did not have a seat! The place was packed to full [maybe even more] capacity and there were no booths or seats open although we had called in ahead of time! After looking around for a seat, I had gone up to the cash register to ask for a box and the supervisor said that she would get us one, but it seems as though my request was ignored as I never received the said box. We ended up just eating our meal at the WAIT SEAT BY THE CASH REGISTER. Terribly unamused, I decided to go use the restroom before I drove my daughter and I home, only to find FECAL MATTER ON THE FLOOR OF ONE OF THE STALLS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Ordered the XL Triple Play. Round Table's own website has advertised special for that exact pizza for $22.99. Arrived to pick it up and it was $23.99 plus tax. I asked about the difference and even showed the check out girl the website but she said she didn't know anything about it and there was nothing she could do. I let it go since it was just one dollar, but their special prices should be accurate. Got the pizza home and the picture online and what we got were two very different pizzas. Ours did have three different types of pepperoni, but in no where near the quantities shown online. It looks like a regular pepperoni pizza with actually less pepperoni than we are used to from Papa John's or Pizza Hut. Considering we paid over twice as much as we would have from either of those stores, I am very disappointed. A large one topping pizza from Pizza Hut is currently $7.99 for carryout. I stopped coming here for many months and recently started coming back. When i came back after so long i meet the manager Stephanie who made my whole experience there wonderful. The other day i was told that she wasn't working there anymore so i walked out. I will not be returning anymore. I think whoever made the decision to let her go should really reconsider. every time i came there mostly for buffet that girl worked her butt off. And she was always smiling and talking to everyone. Four stars because this is the only place we go that I will literally eat myself sick. I love this pizza. It's dangerous so I only eat here when my son's team has an "after game" or team party. My husband & I will usually order a large. My half is the King Aurthur's supreme (minus onions) and his half is the Ultimeat. I love the addition of linguica!! Add in a nice cold beer or two and I'm one fat & happy woman (like I said, this place is dangerous). I'm not a fan of this location in the Von's shopping center. It's small, service is snail slow & parking is a pain. I'm also not a fan of how expensive the pizzas are here....although, it probably saves me from overindulging more often so maybe it's a good thing. The employees here seem to be high school kids who don't really seem to care about their jobs. They have a sign (or had, it's been a while since we've been here) near their menu that said, "Enjoy a Pint of Beer". Pricier then dominoes and pizza hut but you can definitely taste the difference. I typically order a personal pan pizza that comes with 4 slices. BEWARE they do take some time to make your pizza. Probably about 25 mins. So if your looking for something fast, this isn't the right spot for you. The workers here are super friendly. The manager I forgot her name but she has pretty tattoos is super nice as well. I enjoy how my pizza is freshly made and hot. This has become our 'go to' place for pizza in PQ. Yes, it's a bit pricier than the other fast food pizza chains (but not much), however, the quality is significantly better. We live less than a mile away, so it's easy to call it in and pick it up. With the coupons and/or specials regularly offered, the price isn't too bad. The pizza itself has quality ingredients. The sauce is nice and zesty. They use quality mozzarella and pepperoni. The crust tastes fresh, not frozen. I've always had a pleasant experience with those who work here. Round Table is my all time favorite pizza! My mom said she would eat it all the time when she was pregnant with me so I've loved their pizza since before I was even born. My two favorites that I get half and half of are the King Arthur Supreme and Gourmet Veggie on original crust with a side of ranch for dipping. If there was ever a perfect food it would be this. The King Arthur is full of pepperoni, salami, olives, mushrooms, onions and green peppers over a delicious red pizza sauce while the Gourmet Veggie is topped with a creamy garlic sauce with artichokes, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and spinach. The original crust is the perfect vehicle to deliver all these yummy ingredients into your mouth, it's crisp and tasty and delicious even without the toppings. We live in PQ and it had been a couple years since we'd been to Round Table and we were having a craving for some King Arthur's Supreme (no onions, no peppers, add artichoke hearts). We called our order in to a very nice guy, he took our "custom" order perfectly, and our hot, delicious pizza was at our doorstep in 25 minutes--WOW!! I'd give our experience 5 stars if there was more of the classic zesty red sauce on our pizza, but I'm happy to say looks like the PQ Round Table is back and delivering some of the best pizzas in town again!! Dinned in on 09-19-09. I got a Veggie Sandwich with 3 cheese. It was clean, well prepared but quite salty. It cost $5.99. At this time of night it was round table or subway next door. I think it was a better value than subway. The service was friendly too. I don't like the TV and music because they make the environment too noisy. I think the pizza's are too expensive and don't really live up to the sort of gourmet pizza claim. They also have lots of board games here. read more

Let's get something straight here! Round Table Pizza is the best PIZZA, period! Call me a homer or whatever you want, but I love their pizza!!!!!! With that being said, I do have to come to the defense of this particular location. Not my favorite location, but since we've moved to PQ, the closest pizza place worth a damn around here. I love my pizza made with love. I know it's getting made right here and if it's not, then well, they take care of you. We have had two situations where our pizza was not as ordered, and this is out of over 10+ times ordering from this particular RT. Both times, they have taken cared of us. I know in Danny M's review, he spoke of this "VIP" book that he did not care to be a part of. Well, PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES! I know we all spend a lot of money to go out to eat and this is why I started "Yelping". I'm tired of spending my money on less than stellar food and/or service. The fact that RT even cares enough to give you a free pizza on the house if they mess up is a lot better than Domino's or Papa John's at the very least! Those places have not taken cared of us! I give this location 3 stars based on that the food is GREAT, service is GREAT, however the fact that we had some pizzas not come out perfect and the restaurant itself needs some TLC made it not a solid 4.
