Im not sure what had happened in the last year or so at this location but, service has gone to shit. I'm so beyond tired of the poor service at this location. 3 straight times now I have placed an online order and something has been wrong when I get there. We then proceed to wait another 10 to 15 minutes on something that was supposed to be ready when I arrive... They never have anything to say but sorry. No offer of a discount or anything! I think I'm finally done with Round Table here in Valley Springs. We don't have a lot of choices in this small town but thank goodness there is more than one pizza place to choose from. read more

We have always liked their pizza, but the service is never good. Pretty rude last time we called for a take out order. Gave us a hard time about using the online coupon that is attached to this yelp page. What?! Both from the trainee and her supervisor. They are not the only option in town, but they are the most expensive with the worst customer service. Not worth it. read more

Ordered the new Sausage & Sweet Pepper advertised for take out. Got there had to wait 4-5 minutes, no problem. Looked at pizza and it looked different-got in car & took a second look.....no sweet peppers on it any where!!! Took it back in and said I thought we had the wrong pizza - response......oh, we ran out of sweet peppers, is there anything else we can do for you? REALLY!!! Walked in at the end of lunch hour. Almost every table was dirty, salad bar was empty; no lettuce, ranch, croutons, cucumber, etc. I ordered the salad bar and personal pizza. 45 minutes later no pizza so I went and asked about it. Shift supervisor said he burned the first one and was making another one. Someone could've let me know! Very disappointed in my experience. Friday afternoon, place is empty. Three employees goofing off in the kitchen in full view of the customer, one employee making a pizza (also in full view of the customer). I stood there like I was invisible. No 'hello', no 'can I help you?' no 'just a moment' nothing just being ignored. I will never, ever go into this place again! Been here many times. Couldn't ask for more, except that it is expensive. Not sure if all of them are expensive, or just that this one is in Valley Springs. Sometimes it seems that businesses charge more here than in the big cities, so not sure. Stable staff, very attentive, easy-to-order, etc. Great! read more

Horrible you can't give one price over the phone and then have delivery drive ask for another and say that it is policy to round up.

I'm new the the area and have gone into Round Table a couple times in the past couple weeks and everytime I go the staff is great and I feel very welcome everytime I walk in I never feel neglected but last time I went there was miscommunication when I placed my order and I got the wrong pizza then Jeffery was kind enough to come talk to us he apologized for the inconvenience and said he would make the pizza we thought we ordered for free and let us keep both of them after we finished me and my wife were talking and he came and cleaned off our table and got us a box and even refilled our drinks for us such a nice young man really knows how to treat customers well read more

I don't usually write reviews but Im not impressed. The two times I have been here I felt it was overpriced and the place is in need of work. I did the lunch buffet my first time here. The salad was wilted and slimy at the bottom..... I don't know if it was the owner or manager but their kids were running around the restaurant screaming and yelling. I even saw a little boy under 5 walk out the front door unsupervised. I was tempted to bring him back into the restaurant for his own safety. About 5 min later the Dad I assume grabbed the child and brought him back in. I waited a half hour for fresh pizza. In the meantime my friend and I ate garlic bread and what we could stomach from the salad bar. It was a good hour of being there to get a few pieces of pizza and some salad. The second time I went I decided it would be less time to just order pizza. I ordered two small pizzas, a medium and cinnamon twists for a bill of over $60....Maybe it's just me but I can name a lot of places where I can buy three large pizzas and dessert for the same price and better quality. When I got my pizza some of the toppings were burnt. The cinnamon twists were good! Long story short I was not impressed and will never go back. Ordered online. We were told 50 minutes for delivery. Almost an hour and a half later we got our pizza (they did call and say it was late and on it's way. We live 10 mins from the restaurant, we got it 20 mins later). Then, it was wrong (we wanted white sauce, got red). Called to tell them and the manager said "oh it must be your fault! You didn't order it right" (really?! We know for SURE we ordered white sauce....) And they said it will "take a while" to get our right pizza out to us.... Really?! Nice customer service..... For $50 for 2 pizzas, it should be right the first time... And when the restaurant gets it wrong, you shouldn't blame the customer.... read more

WOW ... I want to make a review of this business but was looking at the other reviews and was surprised. They all appear to be from locals ... here's an outsiders review. I live in the Bay Area and have been to several RTP's over the years. Yes, they can be pretty similar and they should be ... that's the point of being a "franchise". The sauce is the sauce ... hey, it's Round Table!! I don't know about a guy with no shirt or a dog in a basket. People are crazy ... but I don't expect some 17 year old to enforce common sense. Just sayin' Now ... we were driving through Valley Springs last week and stopped in this store right after (what I would assume was) lunch time. Say around 1:30pm. My wife ordered the lunch combo. I went to the restroom. The restroom was very clean. Is it a bit old ... yes. A bit tired ...yes. Could it use a complete makeover ... sure, but it was completely clean and tidy. Smelled fresh. I appreciated someone's effort to make it that way! We went to their salad bar. All fresh. All full. Very nice layout. Tasted great ... enjoyed it. Pizza was delivered. It was a Round Table Individual pizza ... go figure. It was hot and delicious. There were about 4 tables full at the time and some teenagers coming in for pick-up orders. There was a woman who appeared to be the Manager (mid to late 20's) on duty. A couple of younger people in the back. All appeared to be working ... cleaning, prepping and preparing orders. I could hear them talking with each other. They seemed to enjoy their work and their working environment. It seemed like a happy place to work. My wife went to the restroom and I sat and was just kind of observing. Reminder ... I had not looked at Yelp or anything else on this RTP. My thoughts: This is an "older" RTP ... not modernized at all. But it was very clean (compared to some I've seen around other areas of CA). The carpets were clean. There was no trash or food remnants (from customers) on the floor or around any booths. The cooking area (clearly visible to customers) was clean and neat. The sales area (cash register and pick up) was clean. The staff were dressed appropriately and their clothing was clean. I even mentioned to them how impressed I was with the cleanliness of the place. Upon inquiry, I was told the business is about 20+ years old. That they keep it that nice is impressive and not because the owner was there, either. I recommend this Round Table Pizza shop to fellow travelers heading up or through Gold Country. I dont' think you'll be disappointed. To the local citizenry ... I would hope you would appreciate the cost to keep a small business like this RTP open and operating in your community. These are your neighbors working there. You should respect them ... comment if you find something out of the norm, in a kind and positive manner. Appreciate the hard work of the management and of the young people they hire, again, these are your neighbors! This business appears to be a good neighbor and I think they deserve your appreciation. I love to eat pizza but this Round Table is seriously overpriced. For four personal pizzas and 1 large it costs $40.00. When we came in we wanted to order the lunch buffet and when we asked the lady at the counter said they won't be serving the lunch buffet after the new year. We understood that and wanted to order it since its still the 29 of December. She pulled out a lunch menu and said you can order from here and completely closed the option to even buy the lunch buffet. The pizza is good thats about it for this place read more

I order pizza/food here 2 or 3 times a month, today I have people over doing landscaping for me so I needed to feed them and they wanted pizza and chicken wings. The store opens at 11, I placed an order at 11:10. I was told it would be delivered by 11:55. At 12:25, 30min after the delivery time, still no food so I called the store. I was told that they were just about to send my food out and that they didn't like to send drivers out before Noon. My driver was still at the store at 12:25 (not sent out at noon like the manager said. my food could have been made before noon and out the door at noon says the manager but it was still at the store at 12:25) so I wouldn't have got anything until at least 12:45 way past my employees lunch time! I never received a call that my food wasn't going to be on time and when I called was not offered any correction to their mistake besides the manager telling me that she doesn't "Like" to send drivers out before noon. Now they have my money for the next 2-3 days I have to watch my bank account to make sure the money actually goes back into my account and had to spend even more money to buy them lunch. I'm down $60 for lunch today instead of just the $30 No food and No money and No offer to correct the mistake = No returning!!!! read more

I don't expect gourmet food in Valley Springs, but at least to get what was ordered. After a long frustrating day at work we decided to grab a pizza and pitcher of beer. Beer price was on par with a good brew pub (which RT is not). Husband ordered half and half. We noticed after a few slices that at least one of the main ingredients was missing. Employee politely argued that it looked like we had eaten that half already so she couldn't help us. I pointed out that another main ingredient on that particular choice was clearly visible on several slices (as well as we had not eaten half as yet). Then employee said that 2nd ingredient had probably been accidentally scattered on our other choice. (Really???) After further request on our part employee said she would talk to someone and be back. She never returned. So, to whoever owns this business, just like your unhelpful employee, we will never return. read more
