This is my first time eating at this location. I've been to the Elk Grove location. I called ahead and place my order for pick up, since I was on my lunch break from work. They have the big smoker sitting outside in front of the place and you can smell the smokiness when you walk close to the building. Like the Elk Grove location, they have the same menu. They have their daily specials for each day of the week. You have the option to make your sandwich order a combo for a little more. They are known for their Tri-Tip tacos. That is a must try, but I really like their loaded hot pastrami sandwich. That sandwich is up there with the Tri-Tip tacos, in my opinion. The pastrami is full of flavor, moist and tender. The only complaint is that I think the ratio of the meat and bread is off. They need to put a couple of more slices in the sandwich, but I do like their sandwiches. I will probably come again.
Hoping for a decent pastrami! Taste wise - decent and probably the best for Sacramento. Nice roll but would have preferred a crispier one that is neutral in flavor and less sweet. I grew up eating pastrami sandwiches in Los Angeles where stands were on nearly every corner AND piled high with juicy, savory pastrami. I had one when I was there in November 24 and paid $18.99. This one was $11.50. I also had 3 times the pastrami and it was about 1.5 times bigger - enough to share with my sister I can not figure out why SoCal is able to maintain the ratio of pastrami to bread and nobody else in the state seems to be able or maybe even want to. Maybe there isn't the interest here. The lunch spot itself is a walk up in midtown. A variety of sandwiches were offered. No salads though except sides of macaroni or potato. I wish they offered a slaw for a bit of acid relief. They also offer breakfast. I tried the potato salad. Very average - potato, mayo, a bit of relish maybe? There was plenty of foot traffic on this Tuesday. They offer daily specials and are quick to get orders out. There is also outside as well as inside eating. I would return to try their other offerings, which include both hot and cold sandwiches. A nice space for a decent, reasonably priced lunch or breakfast. Give them a try!
Loved this place and so does the neighborhood! Fast, clean, polite, oh, and great menu. Check them out.

While in the area on Saturday, we were finally able to stop in after my daughter's jiu jitsu class. Roundhouse Deli is located on Alhambra Blvd and only offers street parking since it is Midtown. The inside was spacious with plenty of seating, they also offered tables outside as well. We were greeted when we walked in and ordered at the counter. We ordered the Tri Tip Tacos, Jeremy Burrito and a Sausage Breakfast Burrito with no potatoes. I loved everything we ordered - the tacos were smokey and flavorful and both burritos were huge and simple yet still tasted great - even without salsa or hot sauce, but they do offer red and green salsas. Both were great and spicy! They also offer canned and bottled drinks. We went with a bottled Topo Chico, a canned Coke and a bottled Orange Juice. Overall, I was really impressed with Roundhouse Deli. We were kicking ourselves for not visiting sooner, but being as it is around the corner from my daughter's class, I can see this becoming our new Saturday lunch routine! There were so many other items on the menu that I can't wait to try - like the Rueben and Cheesesteak sandwiches! My mouth is drooling just thinking about those tacos! Can't wait to come back! Check them out!
Drove by this place constantly on the way to drop off my girlfriend at work, and I swear that smoker runs 24/7! It must be nice to live in an area where you wake up to the smell of smoked meat on the daily! I chose to stop by after clearing some time in my schedule for a quick, early lunch, and boy it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in a long minute! The staff are extremely cordial and felt like a nice slice of East Coast hospitality. Kindness without all the fluff, a staple of a great sandwich shop. The interior is plainly set up with some occasional tandem benches set up along the wall, giving a bit of a more casual setting. I haven't come here late enough to see a major rush, but I can imagine it gets busy. I ordered the Tri-tip combo with a potato salad. The total came to a little under $17. It's a bit more expensive compared to the chains that have daily deals/combos, but for the quality that they provided, I would have paid a much greater sum. The sandwich came out quickly, and they walked my to-go order over to me, which was an appreciated gesture, seeing that I was across the store. Reiterating that customer service is not often a criterion that adds to my score (unless it's a restaurant that is renowned for it), but I always want to provide recognition where it is deserved. The tri-tip was beautifully and perfectly smoked, resulting in tender and delectable slices of meat that paired perfectly with their BBQ sauce and mayo. I was going to save it for when I arrived at a nearby cafe, but it smelled too damn good not to eat in the car at that very moment. The fixings of lettuce, onion, and tomato were fresh and helped provide a contrast of crunch to the sandwich. Absolutely devoured, would get again, but I need to try everything else on their menu for the sake of exploration. 9/10. I was also pleasantly surprised by the potato salad. It had a strong edge of acidity, which paired wonderfully with the beefiness of the sandwich. I believe that the bell peppers also gave a nice savoriness, but I didn't get a chance to fully analyze the flavors before I snarfed it down. Oh well, that just means I have to come back again at some point and write another review. Not saying that I have a problem with that at all haha! 8.5/10.
Tried Roundhouse Deli for lunch. I popped in during lunch on a random Monday afternoon at their Alhambra location. Small dining room with grill going out front that smelled delish. I took a recommendation from the person taking order and asked for the 3 tri tip tacos and fries. The tacos came out loaded with cheese. The meat quantity I would say was average. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either. I wouldn't get them again. I should have trusted my instincts and went with a burrito. Fries were fresh. Crispy and thick. If I return. I'm trying a sandwich or burrito. I'd give it a 3.7 out of 5.

Their smoker is out front and you can smell the smoked meat from down the street. It's truly mouthwatering! I stopped by for lunch and saw they have daily specials. I decided to order the Cheesesteak Combo, which comes with a choice of side and fountain drink. Service is at the counter, and we ordered to-go, even though I'd like to come back and sit at one of their picnic tables next time. The Cheesesteak is one of the best I've ever had! The cheese pull was awesome and I liked the smokey flavor of the meat. Surprisingly, it was a very neat sandwich, not messy, and filling. I ate half and saved the other half for lunch the next day. I'll definitely be coming back!
If you're hungry at breakfast & anywhere near the deli-- the tri tip breakfast burrito is to die for!!! They package their own smokey hot sauce. Half was good for me, but Im a slight eater. We got it to go & it was hot.. just as it should be. They cook it fresh
We've been wanting to try their famous tri-tip tacos and had a chance to stop by around lunchtime on a weekday. They had fish tacos for a limited time, so we got one order of fish tacos and one of the tri-tip and shared. It was all delicious, especially with their hot sauces/salsas. Service was super friendly and kind. We let them know that it was our first time, and they gave us a free cookie for our little girl. They seem to have regular and thankful customers. We left smelling like smoke from the smoker out front, so just be aware if you need to go somewhere afterward smelling good! Overall, it's a great addition to the neighborhood, and we're looking forward to trying other items, like the sandwiches.

Tri tip tacos are a must try at this place. Hands down amazing I would recommend to my friends or anyone looking for a good place to eat in downtown. Staff was also very friendly and nice. Super clean and overall great experience
Roundhouse Deli delivered great service today. Everything came out very fast. I ordered the special, the Mark Burger Combo, and it absolutely surprised me. I don't remember it ever being that juicy before, but today it was a work of art. The cheese was perfectly melted and every part of the burger was on point. I would definitely order it again. I'd give the Mark Burger an 8.5 out of 10 and the fries a 6 out of 10. The fries were fresh and salted, but they were pretty basic and didn't really wow me. The Mark Burger, though, was delicious and I highly recommend it.
Found a new taco spot that hits the spot! This isn't your typical taco spot as I wouldn't say they have great steak tacos. They have great tri-tip tacos and chicken tacos! So flavorful and delicious! Their ground beef taco was okay. It was pretty oily and the seasoning was fine. If you're a fan of ground beef, I suppose you could get. Their best is definitely the tri-tip tacos. Service is quick when they aren't busy, but this location can get pretty busy during lunch. They also have really good deals on their tacos and other items depending on the day. I want to try their tri-tip burritos as I love it in their tacos. The place is decorated very minimally. I've only ever tried the spot on Alhambra, but they have locations in Roseville and Elk Grove. Be aware that they close pretty early at the Alhambra location. read more

I come here like once every other week when running errands nearby and it's worth it every time. I've gotten the tri tip breakfast burrito as well as their sandwich. Both really good and fresh. Staff are really nice. It's a chill spot and the smoker is always going. Good vibes all around. read more

I was hesitant at first to get the tri-tip tacos as it just looks like a cheese fest but omg I was wrong. These tacos were DELICIOUS. The tri-tip smoke flavor is a 10/10. I now need to come back for a breakfast burrito as I heard they were amazing. read more
Delicious, flavorful, and very addicting! When I stumbled upon this gem I fell in love! My first time and my go to is tri tip tacos....yessssssss you didn't know you needed tri tip tacos until you've had them! Smokey thinly sliced tri tip with lettuce, cheese all in a Parmesan dusted corn tortillas and boom amazing combo. They have daily specials and the sandwiches are pretty good too. I've only had the train wreck (pastrami and tri tip) so I can't attest to them all. The bread is fresh and they use quality ingredients. If you're hungry for breakfast they got you covered! The Sabe (breakfast tacos) are bomb! Super friendly staff and they are clean! Go check them out Mon-Fri bc they are closed in the weekends at the Alhambra location. I'm so happy midtown has a location now, and best of all, it's as good as both of the other locations! Delicious food, reasonably priced, nice clean restaurant and great customer service. Roundhouse deli is a family favorite. My go-to, the chicken tacos with extra cheese and salsa! If you haven't tried it yet, don't wait, you're missing out. Highly recommended. read more

Wow! This place is SO GOOD! I am a sucker for a good breakfast burrito and this place nailed it. The portion is perfect and filling. The options are nice for meat eaters and non meat eaters alike. I like how they are open early at 7am when I typically want breakfast. I was browsing the menu and would love to go back for lunch one of these days for a deli sandwich. There's plenty of parking on the street and across the way. There's also indoor seating if you'd like to dine there. I encountered two employees who were very nice. A gentlemen took my order and a lady bagged up my burritos and asked if I wanted salsa and of course I said yes! I highly recommend checking this place out. It's nice indoor and outdoor and most importantly, the food is amazing! read more

Stopped by around 1pm on a Friday and the place had a decent sized crowd. There was no wait at the counter so I took my time with their menu despite knowing I was there for their tri-tip tacos. The young man at the register was nice and took my name for the order. I sat down with my cup of water and waited. Not even 5 minutes later my tacos were ready. The 3 tri-tip tacos were served on king corn tortillas, they melt shredded cheddar cheese pile on juicy tri-tip, lettuce and more shredded cheese on top. The tortillas had a nice crisp on them and are powdered with parmesan cheese on the outside. Think Jimboys tacos but on speed lol. The house made salsa the lady behind the counter offered me really paired well with the tacos. It was spicy and had me sweating. I loved it. This place is super divey. The young man was slicing up pastrami when I showed up and I can't wait to go back and try a sandwich next. The crew here did a great job of keeping the place clean and orders were firing out fast of the kitchen. read more

I came for he tri tip tacos and they did not disappoint! It had such a nice Smokey flavor to it! And they don't skimp out on the toppings! Homey and family style feel with friendly service. Definitely will be back! read more
Went to Roundhiuse twice in one week. After having their trip tip tacos, I had to come in to try their breakfast! The meat was delicious in both items! Their hot sauce is amazing and the perfect amount of spice! When I got the breakfast burrito I asked for extra hot sauce on the side. Staff is super nice and welcomes you right when you walk in the door. Wish they were open on the weekends! read more
I am beyond excited to have this new addition to the Roundhouse Deli family! Their Sacramento location is their third after the original Roseville and more recent Elk Grove locations. I love that the character of the building is similar to the original, like a sibling to what I've grown to know and love. They are open M-F from 7am-3pm currently and offer a variety of breakfast and lunch items. They're known for their Tri Tip Tacos and sandwiches and the daily specials are always a great choice. I ended up getting the Monday Pastrami sandwich combo that comes with a side and drink and the pastrami was amazing. I also brought home a plain cheeseburger and chicken strips for my husband and everything is solid. It's very casual here and they have tables that you can enjoy your food at, but many people take it to-go as well. The staff was super friendly and my food was out quickly and was still hot when I got home. From my experience, this is a great representation of what I expect from Roundhouse Deli and I'll be back often. read more

This Roundhouse deli just opened in midtown/east sac about a week ago. I've never been to any roundhouse deli (they have 2 other locations, one in Roseville and one in elk Grove) so I knew I had to try this one since I live so close. I've been hearing a lot of good things about them. Spoiler: it did not disappoint. I tried calling in an order and the gentleman who answered the phone was able to answer all of my questions, and I thought he got my order down, but got off the phone hurriedly since there was a lunch rush. I got there not knowing if my order l was taken or not, but since they are new, I didn't have much of an issue. I got here around noon and there were quite a few people there. Thankfully, only 2 ppl in line ahead of me. Everyone else was already eating or waiting for their order. There are about 8-10 tables in the dining area so it can accommodate small groups. The menu looked interesting. When I got to the register, the gentleman who was taking my order realized he never got my order over the phone, but remembered talking to me. He took my order at the register and told me it's about a 15 minute wait since there was a a lot of people ahead of me. I only ordered 3 TRI tip tacos since that's what I heard was good. My order actually came out after 5 minutes. Great customer service. I drove home and was excited to try it. The tacos were really good. Probably one of the top 5 I've had. It's also the first time I've had tri tip tacos. Three hot sauce complimented it well also. It is spicy but tolerable to me. I will be back here for sure to try the other items and the specials. I highly recommend this place. The current hours do make it hard to get tacos here ( 7 am - 3 pm, Monday-Friday only), but that may change once they are more established in this location. read more

Best Tri Tip Tacos Ever Roundhouse Deli does EVERYTHING right There is nothing I've had that I did not LOVE ! I've been going to the Roseville location for years, every chance I got ! This downtown location is dangerous for me I heard there is a location in Elk Grove as well that I have not been to. A must try !
