This place is near my work, and my go-to lunch spot whenever I forget to pack a lunch from home. The tacos are good, healthy and affordable. I love their daily specials. They have tasty chutneys and sauces that you can now put on your tacos yourself, which I really like. (I always go with the spicy one, but they only give it a heat level 7 out of 10... would love it if they came up with a 9 or 10.) All in all, I'm a fan, and hope this place stays around for a while. read more

My co worker got Roxie's for lunch and my mouth was envious with food fomo so I had to give them a try the next. Red chicken was a perfect balance of flavors. Not too spicy, not over powering. I love Roxy's. The concept is very unique - I had never seen a Mexican/Indian food restaurant, so I had to try it. Now Roxy's is my favorite place in Boulder for a quick bite. I usually get the Dada's red curry chicken with green chile chutney and some cucumber mint riata. The slaw on top gives the tacos a perfect refreshing crunch to balance everything out. I also love the Thai curry chicken special when they have it. The staff is always friendly and nice. The restaurant is always clean and has a chill and welcoming vibe. A lot of their offerings are gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, or dairy free. Also, their homemade beverages are the best. The hibiscus limeade is strong and flavorful. This place is a fusion of two of my favorite cuisines, so of course I had to give it a try! It's located in a tiny shop with only two picnic tables inside for seating, but that probably helps keep the prices relatively low. I ordered two tacos, the red chicken and saag paneer, both with flour tortillas. I only got one tortilla per taco, which is fine with me, although I was under the impression that there was supposed to be two. The service was relatively quick for only one guy behind the counter. I ordered the hibiscus limeade, which was neither very sour not very sweet, so I was not particularly thrilled about it, but it was good. I can see it being popular if you like the more herbal and subtle lime taste. The tacos are fair sized, and the combination of flavors blend wonderfully. Overall it is a decent place for a quick bite, although I'd be hesitant to go (with the intention of eating in) when it's cold out due to limited seating. read more

They have all the chutney/raita sides on a table so you can get as much as you want. Chips were really salty- mine were okay but my friend's were a little too hard and over baked. Coconut honey almond chai was not what you might be expecting from a chai, it was less sweet and more spicy and grainy from the almond pieces. i had a strange experience at roxy's. I showed up alone and asked for a table for two. The man who seated me had a smear of curry or sauce across his face that was painfully obvious but far to awkward to acknowledge do to its size and consistency. Some of the servers wore blue plastic gloves while others did not which was mildly concerning. i ordered a chai, and it was the worst chai i've had in town, it was so thick i felt like i was drinking tomato soup. The burrito i had was good but not good enough to be the most expensive burrito of it's size in this zipcode. when my friend arrived he ordered a glass of wine and the woman who took our order told him it was a dollar off for happy hour, saying it would be five dollars, then charged him seven dollars for it at the end of the night and when promopted to explain why, stated that happy hour was over. In addition, the sign on the window advertised four dollar glasses of wine. She gave us a refund but refused to acknowledge the clearly marked list of prices hanging inches from our heads in the front window. The decor reminded me of my college dorm room in a nostalgic but not entirely pleasant way. we got scoffed at for asking questions about the menu and pricing. Finally, there was no EDM played for our entire stay at the bar, which was confusing because electronic dance music constitutes half of the branding for the restaurant. IT was a taco Tuesday and I just happened to be in Boulder and had really wanted to try this spot, So a co-worker and I decided to try it out. It is right next to campus so Parking is ridiculous. you know how you hear the saying hole in the wall this place is a prime example of that saying. It's pretty much a counter with 2 picnic tables inside and one picnic table outside. Enough about that lets get to the food. Being that it was my first time there I had no clue what to order so I just tried one of everything. My favorite parts was the different sauces, I was able to try all four sauces on one taco to find out which flavor combo worked best for my needs. I think the cilantro curry won out every time with every taco combination. The chips and salsa were also a treat. the chips were very crunchy and the salsa had a smooth creamy like texture. Roxie's Tacos is AMAZING. This place is the best, has the best food, and I really wish I lived nearer to Boulder so I could visit more often. This place was recommended to us by a friend, and my first reaction was to be a little hesitant. I generally don't go for fusion foods because 85% of the time, restaurants never pull it off. But Roxie's Tacos? It's part of the 15%. Probably the top 1% of successful fusion foods, too! We ordered the chicken taco, which I LOVED. It was super tasty, and the sauces only accentuated the meal. We also got the chana masala taco, which I also really enjoyed (it's still a 5/5), but I preferred the chicken. There are a few different options of sauces to put on your tacos, but I liked the cilantro one and the green chile sriracha one (they're a little spicy though, so be careful!). Also, if you check in on Yelp, you can get free chips and salsa! And, for such reasonable prices, why WOULDN'T you want to come here? But aside from the food, the staff here are excellent, and I cannot stress or emphasise this enough. Here's a story for you all: While we were there, we parked in the lot by Freaky's, which does have parking available for customers of Roxie's Tacos! As there was not enough space in the restaurant to sit there (it is a bit small), we walked across the street to find a place to sit and eat our tacos. The whole ordeal took roughly an hour, probably even less than that. When we came back, we found that our car had been booted! Apparently, the owners of the lot had seen us walking across the street and reported it, which is why we got booted. While we were busy being distraught about getting booted, another store owner who had parked next to us told us to talk to the people at Roxie's Tacos about it, which we did. Roxie and another staff member were shocked, and if I'm being honest, they seemed more upset than we were about getting booted. They both left their post to help us figure things out! After the whole exchange with the police officer, Roxie even took out her credit card and offered to pay the $125 fine for us (which we didn't let her). She told us that she would talk to the parking services department to get us our money back, and that's exactly what she did. She kept in contact with us throughout the whole time, effectively contested our fine, and actually managed to get us our money back. I know that this story doesn't actually have any impact on the quality of the food (which is unmatched, by the way), but this just goes to show the type of person Roxie is, and how far she's willing to go for her customers, even customers that she met only an hour before! Roxie runs her business the way I wish all business owners would--by going the extra mile. Anyway, sorry for the long interlude, but I have unlimited praise to give Roxie and her staff and I'll always support this business! TL;DR: Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent customer service. What more could you ask from a restaurant? read more

Roxies tacos rocked! So if Indian food meets a Mexican delivery. Saag Paneer and Chama Masala put into tacos, burritos, or on nachos. The food is so good. The dishes are spicy and there's a great choice of chutney toppings. It's all very refreshing and experimental and I dig it. I got the Chana Masala and Chupalines tacos. Chupalines are crickets and they were bomb. The Masala went really nice with the tamarind chutney. Kick ass! I'll be back to try the other staples. I also heard they're going to be doing sushi and pulled pork taco specials soon. However prices are a bit higher then I'd like to see. So one star off for that. read more

But Roxie's surpassed our high expectations; the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. My husband and I shared one of each kind of taco, and all were excellent. The bartenders are always extremely friendly and they have great margNormally we have a great experience, but recently a few of my friends were rushed and asked to leave ASAP to "give other customers a chance to come in." We all were consistently buying drinks and spent a bunch of money. Three people of our group actually ordered dinner. As we left there was no line, and clearly no one waiting. It really left a bad taste in our mouths as when you go to a bar you want to enjoy the atmosphere, not be given "15-20 minutes" to rush through our drinks. After tasting at the East HS farmer's market a few weeks ago, I had Roxie's Taco's cater a party for 50 people a few days ago. I thought the food was great and so did everyone else. Lots of people commented that they loved it. I gave out Roxie's info! I had a buffet of 3 types of tacos: chicken with coconut milk (dairy-free), saag paneer (vegetarian), and chickpeas and kale (vegan), plus citrus slaw, plus two chutneys: tamarind and cilantro. Everything was gluten-free except for the flour tortillas, but there were also corn tortillas. I thought this was a great way to accommodate everyone's food sensitivities and preferences and still have it all be delicious. The only slightly down note on the food itself was that I thought the chickpeas were a little undercooked, but my vegetarian daughter liked them as is, "with a little texture." So if you like yours with more or less texture, you could probably suggest to Roxie's how you want it done. We all thought the flavor of everything, including sauces, was terrific. The only other issue, and it was my fault, was not accepting the offer of warming trays. People were coming and going and some ate an hour or more after the food was put out, so it would've been nice to be able to keep the food warm for them. I'll definitely call another time! read more

I've eaten Roxie's Tacos at either the Cherry Creek Farmer's Market or the City Park Farmer's Market 8 out of my 10 last visits to the markets. The food is incredible, especially the breakfast enchiladas. It's a perfect healthy/comfort combination. The house made chutneys are also a delicious addition!
