The food is really inexpensive and very good diner food. We sat by the window, in a comfy bench. For our order we got a home style ($8) with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and hash browns and we also ordered a gyro and eggs. The gyro was a good portion and it was $9. Dont let the car wash fool you. I knew this place was here from years ago and it was good then. So i found it easily. Spouse ordered the garden omelette but quickly changed her mind when she was liver and onions on the chalk board. I know liver is not on many top ten lists but she and i love it. I never had it so i opted out and waited to see what she got since most places dont cook it right. A pleasant surprise. two nice pcs and cooked to perfection. Im going back. This is easily the best value in the area. The food is excellent and portions are huge, service is attentive (without being annoying), and prices are super reasonable. I wish they had a sign out front because I don't think people realize it was there. I lived in NORO a year and a half before I noticed it. If you decide to go look for it, it's in the same building with the car wash across from the cemetery, east of Sherwin Williams. been going there for years for a friend lunch. Good, solid, short order cooking. I've never had anything I didn't like. Service is quick and the staff is friendly and efficient. One of my favorites was their liver and onions. I like to order it when I see it on the menu at any restaurant, I don't often see it, and it's often overcooked. It was perfectly done at Royal Lunch, to my taste, very flavorful and tender. They were starting to clean up for closing, so it was quiet. I sent my kudos to the cook, and he came out and we talked for awhile about how our mothers and grandmothers cooked liver, and other dishes as well, that we learned to cook at their knees. My absolute favorite place for breakfast! My boyfriend and I frequent this place as often as we can. The food is always delicious and the waitresses (and the cooks) are as nice as can be! They are always friendly and have our orders memorized and have our drinks on the table when we pull in the parking lot. Royal Lunch is my favorite diner. it has the traditional "low-cost American diner" feel to it, and the food is great. i normally get an omelette, rye toast, and hash browns for breakfast. the omelettes are always overstuffed (in a good way) with different variations - mexican, polish, and greek are a few examples. the royal omelette is my go-to, and comes with onion, green peppers, ham, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, sausage, and two kinds of cheese. the 82 is similar but features gyro meat and corned beef. both cost about $7.00 and come with two thick pieces of toast and a lot of hash browns. the servers use a team approach to take care of customers, so someone is always available to refill coffee and water. the servers also deliver orders quickly. they are friendly and provide good customer service. the facility feels like a traditional mid-western American diner. It can get crowded, but I normally do not have to wait for a table around 10:00 a.m. patrons are what anyone would expect from a typical diner - older-and-middle-aged families with kids. there is usually is a television on with sports. i will keep coming back for the great omelette breakfasts, friendly staff, and low prices. they are the best in the area. read more

Not closed... however I bet the staff wish it was. My waitress was grumpy and before I even sat down she said she would not be there for long. The sitting was tight and i believe they only have a total of 12 tables. the food was pretty good. the corned beef omelet was tasty and the hash browns were some of the best i have had in this area. now only if they can get their head out of their ass and know that the online reputation is shot . the last entry was that it was closed. when i brought it to their attention it was almost as though they had never seen a smartphone. so A on the food and a D on the service. read more

Stopped at the Royal Lunch for breakfast last week while visiting friends in the area and was very happy with the food, the service, and the check. If I lived in the area I would eat here multiple times a week. I love supporting local businesses and that is what you get here. While not as big as the chains, the dining room was cleaner, the service was better, the food came out faster, the bill was cheaper, and I walked out a lot happier. I ordered eggs, cooked over hard, crispy bacon, sausage, hash browns, and toast. Everything was cooked right and tasted great. While not the fanciest place to go I will be back for another meal and I will get my car washed next door. No problems recommending this diner to anyone lving in the area or just passing through. read more

If you've never had a really good breakfast in your grandma's basement, then come here. Food was really good; wife has the french toast and she said it was the best she's had in awhile. I got a veggie omelette; first, the omelette is huge, I've got a dad bod and I couldn't handle it. The potatoes are perfectly crusted. This place is so unexpected and that is why there must be only a few reviews for it because this place is has great food for the best price around! I came here on a Saturday around 11am and had a good experience. The server was nice and fast and my bill with tax was $5.38! I ordered the eggs benedict and the eggs were cooked the way a poached egg should be cooked! My sister ordered the Polish Polka omelette and that was magnificent. I would have never stopped here without my friend recommending the Polish omelet. This cozy diner blends right in next to a car wash it shares its building with. While the Polish omelet (stuffed with mashed potatoes and topped with a ton of cheese) was awesome the buttered toast was ridiculously buttered to the point I was trying to wipe it off with my napkin and the side of hash browns that came with the meal were so greasy I couldn't eat more than that first bite. I love coming to Royal Lunch for breakfast, it's one North Royalton's gems. I love getting the skillet with the bacon and sausage, they do charge $1 for every vegetable added. It can get a little pricey but the portions are large. It's a great place for anybody who wants good breakfast, but the space is small so they do have a hard time accommodating large groups. read more

Always Breakfast time ! Open early in the morning but close to early for dinner. Food is cooked well and coffee is always fresh! Waitresses are always friendly! Was a regular, once a week. Today we went and again, as stated before, the service was awful. However, today we found not one, but TWO pieces of hair in our food. When I told the waitress she grabbed our checks and said she gave us 50% off (after I stated several times I wasn't looking for money off, just wearing her of the issue). When I got home I realized they did not give us a discount at all. My meal was $4.50 (maybe $4.99, either way) and I was told kids eat free with purchase of drink. Well after we got our "discount" my check was still $4.44. Sadly, I will not be returning. Not because of the lack of a discount, like I said, I wasn't interested in one, but because the service is so awful, waitresses are beyond rude, and there were 2 pieces of hair in my food and it was treated as though it was my fault. read more

The food is good. However, the waitresses (as another reviewer mentioned) are always short-tempered and grumpy. If you like small diners, it is worth a try...but do not expect to be greeted with a smile. They are only open till 3pm and are usually pretty busy during the weekend.
