Ordered 2 iced caramel Breve's. We tasted absolutely 0 coffee just caramel and cream. Had to order additional 2 shots to at least make it drinkable. Would not recommend. Paid total $20 with the espresso shot for a L and M drinks. Not worth it.

I had been wanting to try this coffee shop for a while now and happened to be in the area for our son's football game so we jumped on the opportunity! The service was quick and friendly. The coffees were quite large which was not a problem for me at all lol. Our coffees looked exactly the same but absolutely tasted different. Both were delicious. If I were a local I would consider going back and trying something else as they have food items as well!

This place is just so cute and it says Hey stop here. That exterior color of red is just a eye catcher and it's just draws you to turn in. My visit today is on a hot Florida summer day but as I drove in Royal Moose was all decorated for fall and had pumpkins decor and that really made me feel good cause I am so ready for fall. I ordered my basic hot coffee which came with (drum roll) a fall colored maple leaf as a stopper!! Win win.. They have a drive thru but you can stop and sit in the shade under there cute large awning and view the river or people watch. Their menu is pretty big on drinks..cold...hot...flavors and they have some food items so stop on it when you see the RED place when going thru middleburg.

Their fall flavors are in! Well, they've been in for some time and have been giving that one big coffee chain a run for their money. I've tried their pumpkin caramel and caramel nut lattes, but I like my teas and apple desserts, so the apple pie chai is my cozy go-to. Many of the seasonal drinks (hot or cold) come with whipped cream, and if you're like me and like non-dairy milk, the staff will offer it every time.

Watch out for the Big Moose! I'm from Florida, but have lived in Alaska for over 20 years now and have turned into somewhat of a coffee snob. With that said, seen this big moose and thought, maybe they know coffee, and decided to give it a try. While most of the coffee shops in Jacksonville need help making good coffee, this place was almost like a cup from home, definitely recommend.

I went for my first time yesterday and got a large Cherry Mocha over ice and a regular Cherry Mocha blended and WOW, best coffee drink I've ever had in my life! They had soooo many amazing combinations that I think I'll get two everytime I go. My cherry mocha and then something new too! It's definitely Starbucks prices, it was like $13 for the two coffees. But the quality was absolutely top notch! This place is a gem here in Middleburg! Definitely visit if you're considering it!

I'm so glad to have family in Middleburg so I have the excuse to go here! They always have exciting seasonal flavors and their regular menu is great too. I wish there was more of these coffee shops instead of Starbucks. Sometimes it can get pricey but in my opinion you get what you pay for at this place plus coffee is expensive everywhere now and I've never been disappointed with my drinks. This time my partner got the peanut butter mocha with almond milk and I got the seasonal French toast latte with almond milk. We both enjoyed our flavors and staff is always friendly.

Really cute and much needed coffee stop in Middleburg! Of course it's on the opposite side of the road whenever I need some coffee heading to Gainesville on those rare occasions, but what can you do? At least they finally have a place to grab a latte and other types of smoothies and beverages in the area. No problem. I just flip a bitch and take 5-10 minutes out to grab a brew. I am not sure what coffee they use here. It's definitely different than what I am used to drinking, but it's not bad. I opted for their signature Royal Moose latte (hot) and added a few muffins to-go. The prices are competitive with most coffee places in the Jacksonville area. They have two lanes for drive-thru and a walk up window with outside seating. This is a locally owned and operated business and I was helped by a nice young lady and a woman named Sarah. The muffins and pastries they sell here are a national brand [I believe] and, unfortunately, they were way too sweet for even me. My sister loved them. It would be awesome if they offered homemade baked items or something from a local baker instead of those. There's so much potential here... They did an amazing job with the build out and the outside decorations including a life-sized statue of a moose (well, maybe not life-sized), the moose exit signs and even their brick moose themed mailbox is so adorable and expertly done. Great photo ops! Overall, I enjoyed my latte here. If you don't like too sweet, make sure to let your barista know beforehand or just stick with the basic espresso or latte. I think it's definitely worth the wait (because more than likely there will be one if you use the walk-up window) to experience some of their menu items. If you're driving through Middleburg, definitely check them out. Glad I did. :)

First time here, and we were really delighted! There is a drive through, but my son likes to sit and eat (what a weirdo, right?!) so we sat in the little seating area in front of the walk up window. The service was so, so friendly and helpful. They gave us little menus, were patient while I figured out what the heck we were going to order, and offered my son a little cup of whipped cream with sprinkles as an extra treat. He was overjoyed! I got a white mocha, and it was all the things you would expect a white mocha to be- creamy, white- chocolatey, and a hint of coffee flavor. My husband got an Italian soda and they even let him mix up the flavors a bit. He also had an everything bagel, which he reported was "great". My son and I shared a cinnamon roll, but it tasted a little off. The best description I had is that it tasted like it was frozen, got freezer burn, and then was reheated. The frosting covered up the taste the more you got into the roll, but I kept getting the weird taste in some bites. My husband reported he didn't taste anything, and neither did my son. So it's also possible I have a horrible tongue malfunction and it was totally fine. read more

To sum it up in one word... Meh. Prices were very high. There are no free cups of water. Bottles of water are two dollars. Then when we got the breakfast sandwiches and coffee everything was just... OK. Maybe even a little sub par. Really disappointed in the coffee. That should be their specialty! No place to sit inside and relax and eat. We ate in the car. We will not be returning. read more

Adorable spot. It's a struggle trying to watch sugar and have fall flavored drinks but not here! I've had their sugar free pumpkin Carmel and sugar free pumpkin white chocolate. Both were awesome. Drive thru and outside order options w outdoor sitting. They also have a loyalty punch card. read more

Royal Moose is my little weekend treat coffee shop. On the pricier side for a specialty drink but it is SPECIAL. You absolutely pay what you get for but in the most positive way! Their seasonal drinks are always tasty and something to look forward to as the months change. I've also had their milkshakes and they are just as esthetically pleasing as they are tasty. This is a great find and a treasure for Middleburg. The service friendly & courteous. The prices are reasonable and the menu is awesome. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is there is no way to sit inside on inclimate days. I highly recommend trying the royal moose!!! PS: there is an exit to head south on Blanding at the back of the property. read more

Pretty disappointed in the food. Ordered a breakfast croissant and it was basically a frozen egg, frozen patty, and disappointing croissant. Zero flavor. Service was nice, staff was friendly. Not very quick though. So much potential to be a great hangout spot, but just missed the mark. Dirty chai was very good though. Only redeeming quality. Would get the drink again, but defiantly not the food. read more

Finally decided to stop by, will have to give it a second chance. I ordered a bacon and egg croissant that ended up having cheese although I wasn't asked if I wanted cheese but the food was underwhelming and Wawa down the road has a better bacon egg & cheese. The iced peanut butter mocha was basically chocolate milk and I could not taste any coffee, I noticed they use cold brew or cold brew milk instead of espresso but it definitely lacks coffee flavor and possibly even caffeine. I'd say the royal moose is a little loose. read more

I have tried this place 3 times and it still hasn't hit the spot maybe next time I'll try the hot coffee. I tried a frozen white mocha frappe - just tasted like milk Iced vanilla latte - just plain nasty Moose mocha frappe - waaay too sweet but better than the others I'm going to wait a little while and go back to try a hot cafe mocha maybe it will change my mind! read more

I 100% regret not getting the coffee in the butter beer, I'm not sure if that would've made it taste better it was pretty bland and we also got the matcha and it could've used more sweetener. There were many options so I would still recommend you try them out! The staff were nice and it's a cute little place as well. read more

Ok. Finally got to try this place. WOW. Completely worth the wait. The owners are amazing people. The coffee is so good. Moose mocha is to die for and hubs got caramel apple over ice and that is just as a amazing. The coffee is smooth. Not bitter. Not too much chocolate so you can taste both flavors. The staff are really nice, but they are alittle slow. I was the only one in the drive thru but it took 6 minutes to get my order, BUT they are very new so I'm sure once they find there groove it will run smoother and faster. The coffee was good but I'm not sure if I like there flavoring, I ordered a white choc mocha with only 1/2 the amount of pumps they normally use (never have the full amount of pumps from any coffee shop they are always way to sweet) anyway I'm not sure if they only used 1/2 the pumps or not because it was still quite sweet. I'll give it a few more goes because I really want to love this place because it's the only drive thru coffee in Middleburg, and it's soooo close to my house read more

The hours of the business are odd. It took me 3 trips to get there and be able to actually order. The coffee was "meh" for the price. The staff were nice but for a new coffee shop in Middleburg, I thought it would be more accommodating in hours and have some really good offerings for that price. read more

Poor service. Our family was excited to have support a local coffee shop instead of supporting the monopoly Starbucks, while the drinks were pretty good the service was not. Not friendly and impatient. We also tried to add on a cinnamon roll at the window and were told if we want anything extra we would have to go back around and wait in line.... really? Ridicules. Where to even start! This place is awesome with quick service and great coffee. They have lots of flavors and even some great seasonal flavors. Coffee is so, so. Not strong enough for my taste. They have a variety of flavors and staff is friendly. Muffins are frozen and microwaved (gross). They sell reuse able cups but can't fill your cup. They will pour from a paper cup out their window into your cup. Why can't they get a metal washable cup to pour into your cup ? read more

We drove almost an hour to try this place and we were less than pleased. It probably would have been better if we had gotten the right order but 3/4 of our order were nothing like what we ordered. We ordered a lemon muffin and it turned out to be a blueberry muffin. Both drink orders tasted nothing like what the supposed ingredients would have made. The one part of the order they got right was terrible. The bacon and egg biscuit was clearly microwaved and was very soggy. I didn't expect freshly made but at least invest in a toaster oven. Maybe if the girl working the window wasn't so rude she could have actually gotten our order correct. It was definitely not worth the trip and I won't go back even if I'm in the area. read more

Really delicious coffee made with love. I'm an avid Starbucks lover and they definitely give them a run for their money in both taste and selection. I personally enjoy their caramel iced latte with whip cream and their sausage egg and cheese croissant . I keep meaning to take a picture but every time I remember I've already drank the whole thing (lol). Skip the typical franchise store and support local business; give this place a try! read more

Enter server, who had never seen a smile before apparently. We got drinks taken but needed time to decide. That was the last time we saw her until I asked another server to finally order. We did order but the food was not good at all; swimming in grease. Getting a drink refill was near impossible with yet another different server having to do that. After the meal a fourth person had to bring boxes and a to go bag. Our original server, who did nothing, finally brought the check. I understand weekends are busy, however, there was ZERO interest in us or our patronage. Couple it with the blessing out the cook was getting from a "manager" in the kitchen I'll be giving this place a hard pass for a while. It definitely did not live up to my previous experience. As for ambiance I can honestly say there was none. If you want alcohol for breakfast it might be the right spot because all the service happened at the bar.

Beforehand, I went to Walmart and bought a package of 5 Clear Dry Erase Pockets and another package of Expo Dry Erase Markers. I put their card inside one of the pockets and marked the numbers with the dry erase marker. Easy to read and verify a Bingo. When each game was done, I erased the marks with a napkin. Ready to play again. This accomplishes the same purpose of marking numbers but eliminated the cumbersome and error prone plastic markers. Their game format is to play 4 separate games of Straight Bingo using the same card. Things may change with time but for now, the price and food is definitely right! See you there!

I order an egg sausage cheese croissant that I pay $7.33 for last time I ordered it. however I received a cheese croissant and paid the exact same price when that's not what I asked for. I asked for an egg, sausage, cheese croissant. I try and call to get clarification on the miscommunication, but no one can answers the damn phone. this just set the tone for my day. I absolutely love this place. Not only is it convenient, but they are always so hospitable and it just makes my day when I get a coffee from here. I always get the iced turtle mocha, and I know recently that they have had to raise the prices, which is a real bummer. So even though I don't get to go as much as I used to do to the price hike, it's still worth it!! If you haven't been here, you need to try it at least once. I wouldn't say I am a regular at Royal Moose but at least 3-5 a month I go. They're a tad bit slow but typically my coffee is outstanding. I love how creative they get with their different drink concoctions and how friendly everyone is. Highly recommended!
