Sushi was tasteless, hot/cooked rolls came in cold... Nigiri was packed with a big ball of rice. Some of the rice in our order was hard. Sauces were watery and no taste. Quick COVID-19 quarantine update: this place opened up for indoor seating on aug 10, 2020. Looks like they expanded to the neighboring unit as their dining area isn't now twice the size. The open kitchen now is in the middle of the dining area. Upon entering, you get your temperature check and all staff are wearing gloves and masks. The one chef out of the three, had his mask covering his neck, but as the evening progressed, it slowly migrated up to covering his mouth, and then eventually his nose. Good for him. And good for us. Food was good, although I forgot the amount of rice they pack on in their sashimi, so follow my advice earlier, and make sure to get rolls instead, or expect to be prematurely full read more

We've gone here at least 3 times since its been open and find it to be very reasonable and the food is good. The only negative thing I see is that I have problems figuring out what is in some of the sushi rolls. My husband eats all types of the fish and shellfish so it doesn't bother him. I went here last Friday for my brother's birthday dinner. Food was great, but the experience with the service was terrible. Our waitress Cindy was really rude towards us. It was my first time trying Royal Sushi and she expected us to know how to order. She walked away from us multiple times while we were done ordering. She kept insisting that our group get all you could eat meal and I regret getting it because I got sick afterwards. Great quality AYCE sushi for an amazing price! We had the fried scallops, gyozas, Shumai, edamame and ika salad for appetizers. The scallops and Ika salad were definitely my favorite. We were seated right away as I believe they have expanded their sitting area. They are maintaining safe distance between the tables for pandemic. Server was quick and attentive the whole time. The appetizers as well as the Sushi rolls were good. We ordered sweet summer and turtle to name a few which are surprisingly good. We are going to be a regular here from now on. My wife and I wanted to try a different place for sushi, and we found this on yelp. The location was ok, but the outside didn't do anything for it. We sat down on some torn seats and noticed this large menu. We weren't sure if we had to get all you can eat, so we asked. We received another menu for individual orders and realized quickly, that we might as well order the all you can eat based on the individual prices. So we both ordered the all you can eat. We received our Rangoons by a robot, very cool. After that, we received our rolls quickly. First impression, the fish don't look fresh, the quality of the fish was poor, the rolls are very small, and the meat to rice ratio is very poor. There is not enough salmon, shrimp or tuna in each roll. You're basically paying for a rice roll. Overall, it was just ok, but not worth paying $30 for each of us. Excellent sushi! Today was my first time trying this place, which is funny cuz it's so convenient for me to go to. I took mine to go, and I called in my order beforehand so I didn't have to wait as long in the restaurant. They told me a 20 minute wait time, but I waited about 25... not bad at all. I called two different times cuz the first time the line didn't go through so I think that meant they were on the phone with another customer. So if that happens to you, try again a little later. As for decor, so cute in there! Dim lighting, nice seats, and a cute sushi bar in the back where you can actually watch them making the food. Although I took mine to go, the cashier was a nice younger guy who knew me from my work haha. Small world. Now to the food, this is my new favorite sushi place! Everything tastes fresh and the rolls are perfectly created. Some sushi places throw together a sloppy roll, but these looked absolutely perfect and cared about. You can tell the chefs care about their final creations. I suggest try the New York and the Torched Dragon. I learned these two are amazing! read more

Don't come here if you're on a diet!!! You will get rolls on rolls on rolls of sushi! This restaurant is AYCE and is such good quality of an AYCE! This restaurant is hidden in the Jewel plaza but you will find it! Not only will you get quality sushi but they offer a plethora of appetizers that will also be kid-approved! Hands down favorite roll of all time here is the TORCH. Literally they torch the top of the roll and it is just heaven. This restaurant is just the right space that can accomodate a large party or smaller party of 4 with their cute booths! I believe this is the sister restaurant to Sushi City in Downers Grove. read more

I love sushi. The only thing better than sushi is all-you-can-eat sushi. I came into Royal Sushi for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was lightning fast. I was immediately seated upon entering, and the waitress took my order within minutes. My sushi came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Being all-you-can-eat, I was expecting them to pad the sushi with tons of rice. Surprising, they didn't do that. Instead, I got a large chunk of fish on top of an average sized chunk of rice. Furthermore, the sushi tasted great; the sushi rice was perfectly seasoned and wasn't overly vinegary. Overall, Royal Sushi doesn't offer breathtaking sushi. I use to go to this place since 2018, it was amazing. After covid this place lowered the quality so much and prices went higher, and today is the last time I'll ever go there, the food was terrible ! And on top of that i got some type of allergy ( I'll post pic) And my friend start complaining that feels weird and has headache.
