I've had few times this sushi. And it is ok. Friends showed me this place bc I didn't pay attention while I was around that area.. It's on the plaza with lots of other shops. However when you step inside you will be welcomed with smile. They have regular menu and all you can eat, which you also can fix with signature Maki rolls which are around 12-15$.. and all you can eat is 20$ sooo you know what I mean.. once before I tried some appetizers scallops, crab ragoon and miso soup.. and it was enough for me. But they forced me to try Torched Dragon and I didn't regret. Since that, when we are around and in mood for sushi we get Dragon. It is crunchy and with mayo:) It is clean small place. read more

Its near my house, so I have been often, and the servers are always really nice and its all you can eat sushi so thats always a huge plus. I ordered Snow Mountain Sushi (Which is my favorite one), and the Spicy Salmon. The Spicy Salmon tasted like it was already prior to ordering. The Snow Mountain Sushi tasted like the Cucumbers went bad. I told our waiter, and he didn't care much. I ordered it over again and again it tasted the same, mind you.. this is my second time. My first time was amazing. So I asked for a drink of Sake which we all know isn't really much of a drink drink as far as the normal drinks at restaurants, the waiter then says in so many words that I had to much to drink when in fact the bottle of sake was literally half full. Within the strip mall on the corner of Foster and Harlem, "Royal Sushi" vowed to gain loyalty customers by offering all-you-can-eat sushi buffet (lunch: $15.99; dinner: $19.99, as of 12/08/2015). Since this establishment has been relatively new, cleanliness was definitely on point. Even though items can be order In a la carte style, I believe dining in the AYCE fashion is the way to go. My rationale behind this statement is backed up by the prices I saw on the regular menu. One (1) order of Godzilla rolls, with eight (8) pieces, would cost approximately $14. Imagining that you multiply an order of signature maki rolls by four (4), you've got two (2)-people worth of AYCE sushi covered! If the westernized maki rolls aren't your cup of tea, scale up your orders with nigiri instead. It was comforting to see that ratio of rice and fish wasn't ridiculously disproportionate. We had the salmon, white tuna, and spicy salmon nigiri. I personally will stick with nigiri next time as my primary choices for my version of AYCE. We tried the "city" rolls, as suggested by our server. I would give them some credit for creativity, but the overwhelming amount of sauce disoriented my tastebuds. In other words, I couldn't decipher exactly what I fed into my mouth. However, $19.99 for dinner sushi buffet is reasonably-priced for the Chi-town standard. You can also pay $4 more and get the dinner option for lunch! Dinner option includes the special rolls. During dinner, when it's busy, the fish to rice portion isn't as great. But you will definitely get your money worth. Some of my favorites from the lunch options- Appetizers: miso soup and FRIED SCALLOP Nigiri: salmon, super white tuna, surf clam. I am not typically fond of sushi but this place definitely changed my mind. The Torched Dragon roll is great and has such a mice blend of acidity and salt with the eel sauce and the torching. The spicy tuna roll I could do without since there was too much filling, but overall it was a fun experience! Hey there, we rated Royal Sushi only four stars due to the Albacore (white tuna) Nigiri was tasteless and wasted calories and room space in our bellies...lol...seriously! The other reason was the Cabernet was less than desirable. Now why we rated it four stars, the special maki included in the dinner selection were delicious and would come back for them. This is my favorite sushi restaurant. It's in a strip mall and I really wasn't sure what to expect the first time I came here but I was so pleasantly surprised and no other sushi has been able to compare! The sushi here is fresh and so delicious. They serve some unique rolls here, my favorite being the torched dragon. They have all you can eat sushi and there's some pages on the menu you can order from in addition to the list of rolls on the paper. I can't give it 5 stars because the service is pretty poor. The staff doesn't check on you, service is very slow even when it's empty, and for some reason the servers can't answer your questions. Hope this improves. Beware of the customer service here..... The chefs were the only reason I did not put 1 star. The first time I came here I had a great experience. The food came out fast and everyone was very nice. The sushi tasted fresh and the rolls were delicious. For some reason, the service was not as great every single time after that. We ordered our first round of all you can eat sushi and it was delicious- we finished every piece- hats off to the amazing chefs! But upon placing my second order I just told the waitress to give me one more torched dragon the way I had it the first time (no lemon wasabi). She brought it out and I told her that I had ordered with no lemon wasabi sauce. She said I didn't tell her that and I told her it was literally written on my last order and she said "oh well you can't even taste it" (like obviously I can if I specifically asked to not put it on there???) and I said OK and ate the entire roll (had to drench it in something else to kill the taste). The next time they took forever to bring our check and barely checked on us. This last time, I was with my friends on lunch and we had to keep looking around to try and signal them to take our order (even though there was plenty of people standing around, one waitress was cleaning the floor of an empty booth- as if that's somehow more relevant). Finally they took our order- I was showing the waitress (she's been rude before) which roll I wanted on the laminated menu (that stays at the table) and she said ok then snatched it right out of my hand and took it away??? I literally only asked her to take the blue paper menus because I was not having all you can eat and she took the only menu I was looking at, leaving the others behind. I was given many dirty looks and glances and the waitress did not come back to check on us or to ask to refill our drinks. don't know why this keeps happening here. They have AMAZING sushi, but atrocious customer service. The lady with the beautiful eyelash extensions who looks like she's in charge is very nice- her and this one man who always asks how everything is. They are the one exception to the complete rudeness, incompetence and attitude of the other staff. I really enjoyed the sushi, but I will not be returning here. When you're paying $20-$30 per person for your meal you should not experience such terrible customer service. This sushi was so bad that it made me not wanna eat sushi ever again. The rice most likely was left out last week in preparation for my meal tonight. Wow! This was our first time here at Royal Sushi. We went right when they opened at 12:00 on a Sunday. They were easily able to accommodate our group of "10-20 people" - we sat along the back corner and just kept adding tables until we all arrived. We all opted for the AYCE sushi. The food was excellent. Creative rolls of sushi, even for those of us who: didn't eat shellfish, didn't eat raw food, didn't like sauce, etc. The non-sushi items in the "buffet" were great as well (tempura vegetables, coconut shrimp, fried scallops, edamame, seaweed salad, even chicken nuggets for the non-adventurous!). All of the dishes are made to order, so nothing is lukewarm or soggy. It does take them a few minutes to prepare, especially when a large group overwhelms them with a ton of orders ;). I recommend starting with 1-2 items per person, then putting in your next order right when the first one arrives. Remember, there is a $1 per slice charge for unfinished food. The Godzilla roll was tasty, but had A LOT of cucumber in it. Very filling, but if you want to sample as many rolls as possible, I suggest skipping this one and sharing rolls with your table-mates. Torched Dragon, City, Hi-Way, etc. maki were all fresh and delicious, as was the nigiri (salmon and unagi were our favorites!). The Mango roll and the Apple roll were surprisingly bright and tasty as well. The salmon skin roll may sound weird, but it had the texture of bacon! Try it! We saw that they have very reasonable weekday lunch specials, so we will definitely return for that, as well as the dinner buffet. Read the menus carefully if you're getting the AYCE - there's a whole page of premium maki that are included, and another page of makis and desserts that are not included. The mochi ice cream dessert is additional, but it is served in 8 pieces and you can choose 1 or 2 different flavors. The staff members were all friendly, the bathroom was clean, and they were cool with us all getting separate checks. 18% gratuity was already added, since we were a large group. Under 5 is $5-6, 6-12 is maybe $12, adults about $21 not including tax and tip. read more

This place is at the top of my restaurants to have sushi. The minute you walk in you feel like you are in an amazing place. The decor is on point. Even though from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall. Not from the inside. It's quite decorated with artifacts and pictures. I was recommended by my brother to come here and give this place a try. So I told him to accompany me and we shall see. I was not disappointed. I mean all Sushi buffets are similar right? Well nope not this one, yes the price is the same $19.99 gives you the full on experience to try as many and as much sushi you like. Finally got to try Royal Sushi because my usually sushi spot is temporarily closed. I was not disappointed! Lovely decor with a open concept feel in the restaurant that makes it feel bigger than it is. New finishes and clean bathrooms. Staff was very friendly and attentive by coming to our table every few minutes to fill up our waters or bring us any extras we needed. Food was also great! The spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls are actually spicy! And I love that they have a separate menu with specialty rolls along with the regular which includes appetizers for the all you can eat menu, which is only 19.99 a person. I love my salmon, so I ordered the JoJo roll (on the specialty menu), the Salifornia and the Boston Maki as well as Vegetable Tempura, Miso soup, Chicken Yaki (this was just okay, nothing special, not fried) and friend scallops (lovvveddd this one!!)
