We ordered from Royal yum for delivery. We did not eat in so I cannot speak to the ambiance. We were very hungry by the time the food arrived (it took 1.5 hours- no clue what the hold up was) but the food was still warm. We ordered the chicken satay, Beijing duck, and the chicken lettuce wraps. The chicken satay was the best tasting thing we received and it was just okay. On the up side the chicken was tender and lemony (I happen to like lemon a lot). However the peanut sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and nothing else stood out about it. Unfortunately this level of sweetness was the same in each of the other dish's sauces. No complexity in seasonings could be tasted everything was just sweet. I am surprised this restaurant had a 4.9 rating on Grubhub as there are much better (and more reasonably priced) Thai restaurants in Denton. We had our dinner delivered by grubhub and we will certainly not make that mistake again. I believe I have had worse duck but never at the price this restaurant charged. The vegetables were inedible and the duck was under spiced. It took an hour longer than was initially stated. As I said using grubhub is a big mistake, one I will not make again. Interesting new place, the Thai iced tea is sweet and tasty. The red curry and pad see ew were both delicious, and the orange chicken was ok, maybe too sweet. Our server put in a lot of effort to make sure we were tended to and seemed new to being a server. The ambiance is a little odd, but pleasant, I'd like to see this place at night. Thai dumplings taste like a mix of pork and seafood, and they're marvelous! I would come back solely for more of them. read more

So happy I have been able to find a great Thai food restaurant so close to home. The food was still hot when it was delivered. The green curry chicken was OUTSTANDING as was the crispy duck. the Pad Thai was very good but the spring rolls were just ok. Horrible service. We tried to order online, and it said they weren't doing online orders, so we were just like, "Okay, we will call and see what is going on." So we did, and they refused based on them doing a "stand-up comedy" night and told us we have to show up and eat. We have a 5 year old and would prefer to do take out, which was never a problem before. They literally refused our service (I was one of their first customers and told people they should eat here when they first opened), and they couldn't even do a take out order. I do not expect any special treatment at all. We are never coming back based on this horrible disrespect. These guys came from Thai Ocha, our original favorite spot, and expected our town to prefer them over the OG Thai place. I won't be coming back. I'm going back to Thai Ocha. I'd even rather do Tuk Tuk Thai or Thai Square or Andaman because at least they respect their customers and don't put preferential treatment over wannabe comedians. If you reject your original customers who spread word about you, you deserve to fail. And that is exactly what this place will do. read more

Meh, this was my first try and probably last. My order was ready for pick up and when driving home even though looking forward to enjoying, I was disappointed. The portion of panang was good and it was meh, ok. The satay was ok but the peanut sauce had a purple hue to it. I was very much surprised at how it looked off and having had a lot of Thai food, I have never seen peanut sauce to look almost purple and just tasted off. read more

Located in the old Payless video store from the 80's and 90's takes me back. The food was legit good. I had the Pad See Ew and the rest of the table got lettuce wraps and a pineapple chicken curry- all were impressive. I will be back. Love this so much can't wait to go back...we had the drunk noodles with beef heat level 4, Beef panang heat level 4, Chicken Larb heat level 4, and the chicken Massaman curry...all were amazing. I would have given a 5 star review because all the food was delicious however the curry wasn't thick and I really don't care as much for soupy curry...I know some people prefer it to be that way it's just not how I want it. Will definitely be back and lookin forward to them having their liquor license because Thai food should not be consumed without a couple Singha. Overall any outstanding meal. read more

My boyfriend and I tried Royal Yum this friday night. We were greeted by super friendly staff! We got crab rangoons, pad thai, and the sukiyaki stir fry noodles. My boyfriend especially loved his stir fry noodles. The owner came by to all the tables to introduce herself and make sure everything was okay which I think is so sweet. The restaurant is super open and big and has fun beach murals on the walls. We will definitely be coming back we were very pleased! read more
