Went with a Chicken Burrito with a side of Street Style Corn PLUS a large side of the stuff- Can you tell your favorite Yelp correspondent loves corn, or what?! Two minor bones of contention averted this from rising to the level of a 5-star takeout meal: A.) While my burrito most assuredly scored points for its bulky, two-fisted build and the flavor was MOSTLY on point, I was annoyed that they only followed half of my explicitly stated customizations- They removed the guacamole but neglected to put the sour cream I'd expressly requested. That I paid EXTRA for the missing sour cream and they still gypped me left an especially sourpuss expression on my face; B.) I arrived at 8:05pm to pick up my takeout order that Door Dash indicated would be ready by 8:10pm ... yet my order didn't materialize until 8:15. That seems a long wait for a burrito and corn... 6/5/26 Had an impromptu meet up with a great Friend at this shop. I was craving a Mexican street corn bowl & Hubby wanted an Ancho Citrus shrimp burrito-ordered these and was brought to our table by Jill-friendly gal! The shop is clean with modern furnishings (decor & seating), In other Rubio's (the one in Lakewood that closed down), orders are usually called out for customers to pick up but here it is delivered to your table, nice touch. Our food tasted great but the chips didn't taste fresh at all. Too bad coz the salsas were delicious. There's plenty indoor seating & covered outdoor patio seating was sizable, too. Parking is free and shared with many other businesses in the plaza. Restrooms are gender neutral (2 separate/individual), clean & well maintained. It was a good experience. read more

Taco Tuesday sounded like a great idea, so when my colleague suggested Rubio's, we DoorDashed lunch straight to the lobby. I went with the Classic Pick 3 Tacos and mixed it up with chicken and beef. The order arrived in about 30 mins, which is pretty impressive considering my stomach had already started filing complaints with HR!! At first glance, the tacos looked a little dry, but hidden beneath the mountain of lettuce was a delicious sauce that swooped in like the hero of the story and saved the day. For around $12, it was tasty and satisfying enough to power me through the rest of the workday, though I wouldn't have complained if the portions were a bit bigger. Overall, Rubio's via DoorDash was a solid lunch experience, but after seeing delivery costs, I might just pick it up myself, or explore the area for lunch next time. read more

I haven't ordered from here in years! But the fish specials have been tempting and today I gave in lol. I'm surprised just how good this dinner is! The tartar sauce has a bit of a kick and I added green chile for more. The fries are good but overly salty and I couldn't finish them. I ordered on the app and my order was ready when I arrived. Saw an Adds for fish n chips for this place so we went to try it. They have others seafood selection of grilled and fried seafood here. Have tried the fish taco and it was good. Make sure to eat it there since it will lose the crunchiness. The fish n chip was good and a bit salty. It came with 2 small pieces of fried fish and a boy 20-25 pieces of fries. The portion is a bit small but it was good to try it. They have a good salsas bar. Different hot sauce to try with the fish or seafood tacos. Their indoor and outdoor seating areas are very pleasant. I'm not sure what to make of it. We got our tacos and well, they did have all the ingredients requested, but it seems like all our tacos were made without care. I forgot to take pictures, but it seemed like our tacos were put together in a hurry. The sauce, lettuce and fish were all over the tortilla. In fact, one of my tortillas broke as I was eating my taco. And one of my fish was extra crunchy and a little too big. I ate everything, but later regret it. The husb had the sane sentiment as I did. The cashier was friendly, courteous and when he had free moments he would go around cleaning, this is why they're getting 2 stars instead of just one. Also, another good point, there are two restrooms and no code is needed. There's plenty of space inside the restaurant and their patio looks spacious. Not sure if we will try it again. read more

I went to this place a lot when we temporarily moved to San Dimas for a year. I'd often order on the Taco Tuesdays and get a couple of their chopped salads. I have NEVER had to go food look like what some people on here are claming. I don't buy it. If anything, they usually had everything very well organized with the keto tacos and the four tortilla tacos. Ordered at least 30 times over the year and it always was packed well to go. It seems like the La Verne employees always get the orders mixed up for people of color. If we order in the restaurant or order by phone for pickup our order is not ready. In fact we are not given our order until everyone else has received their orders. We are told "we are sorry, we did not see your order, or the name was misread." This is my first time in this particular location - I ordered the following to-go: - 1 Taco Salad with Shrimp = $12.49 - 1 Street Corn Bowl with Carnitas = $12.49 - 1 Cilantro/Lime Quinoa Bowl with Salmon = $13.99 SUBTOTAL = $38.97 10.25% SALES TAX = $3.99 OVERALL TOTAL = $42.96 Wait time should be improved - I probably waited around 15-20 minutes. There is also an outdoor patio where you can eat outside and enjoy the breeze. Salsas were also yummy and you can grab/pack as many as you want. Overall, I feel like the portions were really small and not worth the price. It is best to go to Chipotle or El Pollo Loco. I was still hungry after eating my taco salad. read more

The service is slow usually here. The workers are always nice but it just takes a long time to get your food. The food doesn't disappoint though if you've got the time to wait! I always enjoy my meals, especially the street corn bowl with salmon. That's been my go to for awhile and I eat every last bite every time. The real reason for the 3 star is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Almost all of the tables had some sort of rice or leftover food hanging around. When I have to clean my own table when I sit down, that's a big bummer. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced... the girl worker I believe her name was Fatima? Was rude to multiple guests. Even going as far to rolling her eyes at one of the guests when she couldn't find him for his order when he was on his way up, I'm assuming not quick enough for her. It took me 20 minutes to get my salad, in which I had to ask her for, just for her to turn to me and go "ya know it's coming"... then I asked for clarification on if the salad came with tortilla chips as stated on the menu, which I misinterpreted, and she responds "ya literally on top" I then say ok, can I pay for an extra side of chips? She then turns around to grab the chips and whips back around and THROWS the chips on the counter at me and then turns away again, while saying "your total is 2.75" I didn't even take the chips I just walked out. I used to serve in a bar for several years so I completely understand being solo and overwhelmed but holy wow.... I've never been talked to or treated that way by anyone it was truly appalling and embarrassing. If I could give this place zero starts I would. Do not go here. read more

La Verne location. It's been a while since I've had Rubio's... the last time I had Rubio's was for the location in Walnut and that was probably about 2 years ago and it was really good. However, I came into this location today. craving fish tacos. SO TERRIBLE!!! They have changed the quality of the food it was so bad. The size of the fish was so small and dry. They don't put much cabbage on the tacos let alone white sauce, and the beans come in a tiny little side container (REALLY?!) Beans had no flavor & super dry. Totally different than what it used to be. Not to mention prices are up everywhere which is understandable ....but this was definitely not worth $16. I will not be coming back. I go here every week and usually everything is great the service and food but today I go and after I order the people who took my order pull the recipe ripping the QR CODE for my points and I didn't see it after I have left to home which is a 1 hour away and when I called them they were no help they try to offer me a free drink or dessert but like how RUDE I can buy that any day or get it for free with the survey then they said I would have to call support on the app like what a waste of my time, I spend good money on this business and this is what I get hopefully they teach their employees to be more careful with getting the recipes from now on. read more

Beyond disappointed in my visit today. I've come here a few times before and the food has been pleasant. However this time it was not memorable or satisfying at all. I ordered steak nachos with easy beans - the nachos came out like warm, there was hardly any cheese and Reg only thing somewhat warm was the beans. Shrimp and fish tacos were decent. Ordered a kids meal with chicken and fries, the fries were cold cold so we had to get them exchanged for fresh ones. And we ordered a side of the Mexican corn which might of been the best out of them all. I didn't return my nachos only because they appeared to be under staffed and it already took them a little while to bring our food out and didn't feel like waiting another 10-15min for a new plate. Definitely expected more from Rubios, especially when the bill is damn near 50 dollars for an entire meal for 3 read more
