The egg drop soup is tasteless and full of lumpy overcooked eggs. Full egg yoke visible in photo. Very disappointing.

Great value for money. They charge $6.99 for every pound of food (same price for their Mongolian Grill) and although they offer small, compact styrofoam boxes, you can still pack them with a lot. You can't see, but under my chow mein is fried fish, red bean fried balls, honey walnut shrimp, fried shrimp, broccoli with beef, fried plantains, and shrimp and corn in à Cajun sauce. It's self-serve and the only time you come in contact with staff is when you pay. My only gripe is that most of the dishes are very oily. The place is clean and spacious, and not too many people were there at noon. Give it a shot! You might like it.

We wanted to have an inexpensive dinner before going to a concert without a long wait time. This restaurant offers self serve from the buffet and you pay depending on the weight of your order. I picked out my favorites with the slippery walnut shrimp and a Thai tea. The combo is average for what is paid at other fast food Chinese restaurants. The food was so good I can see why this place is so popular.

Tried this Mongolian Chinese BBQ spot for the first time and it was excellent. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly & the workers on the grill really know what they're doing, which makes a big difference at places like this. There was a small language barrier at first, but it wasn't an issue. I just grabbed a bowl, picked my items, and they pointed me in the right direction for how it works. Everything was straightforward and totally fine. I tried the teriyaki chicken and even the leftover/scrap pieces were delicious, which says a lot about the quality and seasoning. Pricing is fair at $6.99 per pound; our total came out to $36.95, which felt reasonable for the amount and quality of food. We ate inside and had an Arizona drink with it, simple and satisfying. Overall a great experience and I'd definitely come back & next time probably bringing friends or family. Highly recommend.

I was discussing with a family member about why I prefer Mongolian BBQ over traditional Chinese food. In one word, it's the ratios. I love having control over what goes into my food and in what proportion. I don't like the way Chinese food joints mix the proteins and veggies together, and then pour a random sauce on it. I like picking my veggies. I like picking my sauces. And I really love hitting a good 40% protein, 40% carb, and 20% veggies ratio. That's why I love places like Pei Wei and Mongolian BBQ joints, because nothing is written in stone. You can decide what happens with your meal at its most basic level. And New China ups the control by not even having a set price, instead just weighing the whole affair and charging you one price for it. It doesn't matter what your ratio is. You could even load up on proteins, including shrimp and beef, and it wouldn't change the price. I adore that. Again, not what I like but I'm sure there are folks who appreciate hitting those protein loads without breaking the bank. The service was great. The guy manning the grill was considerate and knew what he was doing, getting my food mixed well and quickly. He even asked how much teriyaki I wanted and took into account that I didn't want my food overly sweet. The counter person was the same way, explaining succinctly how their process worked and how it differed from other bbq joints. The ambience was good too. They had tons of tables, both inside and out. There doesn't seem to be a gluttony of people that would make me hesitate coming in for dinner or lunch for fear of having no place to sit. Could they use more? Sure. But I don't know how much more you could squeeze in without feeling like sardines. Overall, this is a great place for Mongolian BBQ, especially if you're a believer in having it your way 24/7.

So I wanted to check out a new Mongolian BBQ spot out in La Verne for dinner. Parking lot was pretty packed when I pulled in. The restaurant was busy but I was able to get my order on the grill pretty quickly. The food was $6.99/lb and my plate came out to about $10 for the plate. Very solid meal and pretty affordable as well!

While it's not a buffet. It is a $6.99 a lbs. my plate came out to $~10 plus smoothie so about $15 to 17 with tip. Food is ok. The big extra is the Mongolian stir fry. You pick and they fry. Food is ok not too big of a deal. Nice place for an experience on a first date or a friend. Pretty good deal if you ask me

House Chow Mein , Beef Broccoli, Orange Chicken - all so delicious!

This is my second time here, and it still doesn't disappoint! The food is incredibly delicious and freshly made every day. The service could use a little improvement, as it feels a bit rushed with the focus on getting people in and out. However, the food is worth it, and I'll definitely be back!

You can fill up on however much meat, veggies and noodles. There's also a sauce bar to sauce up your Mongolian bowl. The choice of meat they have is decent with beef, chicken, and pork. Veggies are cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts etc. Your sauce can be as savory or spicy as you want. There's basic diced garlic as well for no spice but with some flavoring. You can pack your bowl as much and as high as you want. It just takes longer to cook. You all line up with your bowl and the cook dumps it on this really hot large round grill. You can build and cook as many bowls as you want. Just be sure to be able to eat it to not let it all go to waste. At the table they also give you a plate of egg roll appetizers, soup, and white rice. The appetizers are good and crunchy. Too bad I'm loading up on beef and noodles. Highly recommend this AYCE Mongolian BBQ spot!

I was really excited to find a Mongolian BBQ with pocket biscuits but their biscuits were hard to open and not so great. One point in their favor, a tip i read from another Yelper, was to bring your rice up with your bowl and they'll cook it into your food! Game changer!

Honestly, I'd never tried Mongolian barbecue before, but this first experience blew me away. I'm so glad this place exists; I love supporting local businesses, and this one deserves a bigger spotlight. It's tucked inside a shopping center, surrounded by other stores, but parking was a breeze. I went on a weekday around noon, and they have a great lunch special which is $15.99 for one plate, or you can get the all-you-can-eat option for $21 or if you go for dinner time. I was torn between this and my usual craving for beef and broccoli from Panda Express, but I'm so happy I chose this spot. Once I walked in, a super friendly lady greeted me. she was fantastic. She explained the menu, walked me through everything, and you could tell she treated every customer like a VIP. The concept is so fun: you fill a bowl yourself with your choice of meat: chicken, beef, pork, or bacon and then veggies like broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and more. You can pick exactly what you want, and they cook it in front of you in no time literally a minute or two. The fact that everything is fresh, and you can see every ingredient, made it even better. Plus, she surprised me with a little sesame seed topping and brought out a fresh bread with a sweet-and-sour dip which was really good. For just $16, it was an absolute steal. And she even mentioned a senior discount, which is a great touch. The decoration and table/chairs are a little outdated but no big deal. I left feeling so satisfied. this place is a gem, and I really hope more people discover it and keep it thriving. We need to support local businesses like this when the food is tasty and fresh, have a good friendly staff and prices are reasonable!

Relatively large dining area with the capacity to combine tables to accommodate bigger parties. We ordered the following: The lamb soup, great flavor, and the soup base is refillable, the meat is tender. The lamb chop, it was ok. Shao Mai, I probably won't order this again. Its twin dish at the Dim Sum restaurant has more flavor, this one is kind of flat. The meat pancake, it was ok. The spicy beef tripe soup, I don't care for internal organs so I skipped it. The yogurt was the best part, soft and smooth. Some of us actually asked for second serving. The first serving is free. The free edamame beans are a great appetizer. Loved the mini fresh flower bouquet on each table, a nice touch. Will return to try out its other dishes.
