    California steak burrito
    Amber G.

I don't eat here often, but when I do I am always happy. I like getting the fish trio so I get a little bit of each, original fish-shrimp-mahi mahi. It's nice to get one of each. My hubs got the California steak burrito and I loved it! The French fries in the burrito added nice crisp and flavor. So many salsa choices!

Island bide with shrimp add pinto beans. Jose recommends Tomatillo and Jalapeño citrus ‍ hot sauce. You should sell. jose is the man / saucieer.

The wall when you walk in has the history of Rubios! Super cool story!

This is one of our favorite places to go eat fish and shrimp tacos!! A must try are: Shrimp Gourmet Taco, Fish Especial Taco California Bowl Chips with Guacamole They have a fresh salsa bar with a good variety of distant salsas! Definitely recommend Rubios!

Half hour before close and BEFORE we got our meal. Young man started cleaning up the salsa bar. I asked him to wait for our food to arrive before doing that and he said that he had to close it but they had more salsa behind the counter. When I told him I can't go behind the counter to get it he showed indifference. When we asked him to please wait - because they don't close for another half hour he said, but we Pre-Close I tell you what - if I heard an employee do that it would be the last night they worked for me. Shortly thereafter, has started cleaning up. He left the salsa from behind the counter, sitting on the main register counter, unguarded and dump the salsa bar into the main salsa containers from behind the counter, and then walked away, clear health code, violations, with no regard for health and food safety. Music was nice and volume ok. Chicken was dry when it finally came.

I came here to redeem a reward and ordered the chicken Baja bowl. I got my order home and saw there wasn't guacamole on or in it as ordered. It was such a bummer to find this out because I always look forward to the guac in this bowl. Other than that, the bowl was par for the course.

The food was pretty good I got the mango mahi mahi fish tacos and it was really sweet, juicy and just pretty good, not the best but certainly not the worst. Would go again. The only thing is that my dad found a hair in his shrimp burrito and when he asked about it the kind lady went to go remake it. The customer service is amazing very friendly and my dad got a new burrito

    Rice Burrito

Feeling ripped Off... I ordered a steak burrito with rice and guac, however, what I got was mostly a "RICE" Burrito with flavorless dried steak and almost non-existent guacamole! I even asked the cashier how old their steak was prior to ordering and I was "assured" it was fresh! Spent about $18 with a drink! I could have gotten a REAL MEAL elsewhere for that price! Save your money skip this place for sure! No I do not recommend...

Bean & Cheese Burrito. And of course I got a Warm Cinnamon Churro

What makes it stand out: * Truly made to order: You watch them start your bowl from scratch. The Roasted Vegetables & Fruit in my salad were crisp and peppered with fresh strawberries. * Customization without the chaos: You pick your pasta, cheeses, and mix-ins, and they build it while you watch. * Salads that aren't just a side hustle: My wife ordered the savannah salad with fresh avocado that was amazing with the Honey Mustard Dressing. They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. Order at the kiosks (super easy), grab a number, find a table in their cozy interior or on their large front patio, and your food will be brought to you. Have a question? Just ask - the staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding our choices. And I love that they allow modifications to most menu items! We'll be back!!!

And then imagine finding out that said location is INSIDE an incredible brewery. Baby... when I tell you I almost ascended. Hello? Excuse me? Did the pizza and beer gods personally hear my dramatic little prayers? Did they not only bless us with this heavenly combo, but ALSO decide to rotate different pizza specials every single week just to keep me emotionally unstable? Because THEY. DID. I genuinely cannot stop talking about this place. At this point my friends are one more pizza rant away from blocking my number, but I refuse to apologize. Every single time I go, I convince myself this is my favorite pizza... and then next week they drop another masterpiece and suddenly I'm questioning everything I thought I knew about myself. What makes this place so ridiculously good is that they are fearless. They're out here using sauces as bases that other pizza places would clutch their pearls over. Ingredients that sound chaotic on paper somehow turn into the most beautiful, life-altering bite you've ever had. It's giving culinary drag performance. Bold. Unexpected. A little dramatic. Perfect execution. And the brewery vibe? Elite. The energy is fun, relaxed, a little loud in the best way, and honestly the perfect setting to destroy an entire pizza while pretending you'll "just have one slice." Lies. All lies. The beer pairings somehow make every flavor pop even more, which feels scientifically unfair. Also can we normalize restaurants understanding that pizza should be FUN? Because this place gets it. They're creative without being pretentious, experimental without losing quality, and somehow every pie still feels comforting and familiar while also making you gasp like you just heard fresh gossip. At this point I don't even ask what the special is anymore. I just trust them blindly like a toxic relationship, except this one actually delivers happiness. 10/10. Life-changing. Emotionally supportive pizza.

Located on the main drag of downtown Mesa you can eat inside or on the patio. There aren't servers, instead, you order at the front desk. The menu has a variety of options, mostly pizza (both classics and signature pies). There is also a bar area where you can grab a pint or two of local brews The interior was electric with people enjoying pizza, locations, watching the Olympics, and just unwinding for the day. We ordered a salad and a couple of pizzas. The salad came out first, and the pizzas weren't far behind Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob, the pizza was fine. It wasn't overly flavorful, and it didn't blow me away, but it also didn't disappoint. The salad was LOADED with toppings, and I was somewhat impressed there. Unfortunately, polling the group, the beer was slightly lackluster. But again, this spot is a fun vibe and is great if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy a brewery/pizza parlor type atmosphere Some tips: When you're done with your drinks and meal consider walking down the Main Street and stopping by one of their many bars, museums, and other eateries There isn't a lot of parking off the main drag, but we were fortunate enough to find parking on a few different occasions Cheers!

I took off onions and bacon. My husband had it just the way it comes. We really enjoyed those. The black beans it came with was absolutely delish My daughter and her hubby ordered the grilled cheese. My daughters came with pear spiced bread - tasted like raisin bread - none of us cared for it. Service was good. Not a place we would go back to. I do like that all salads could be turned in to a wrap. The drink menu looked fun. Cute atmosphere- you should secure a reservation.
