So incredibly annoyed. My husband and I ordered dinner from Rubios via Door Dash because of COVID. My husband is immuno-compromised and it is not safe for either of us to leave the house. Our dasher was a JOY and was super patient. Apparently Rubios was taking orders for people walking into the store before the Door Dash order. Our order was continually pushed to the bottom of the list. Our dasher, and us, were waiting for 2 hours to get our food. Writing a review to let others know that if you come to pickup your order, make sure that you know how the Rubio's receipt prints your name (shorthand with a bunch of numbers behind it), otherwise the woman on shift won't be able to find it. "Huh?" you say? My thoughts exactly when I was chastised for asking for my pickup order calmly a few hours ago by the name on the order. After asking me 3x what the name was and then saying "It's not ready yet" to which I responded that it should be, the woman on order finally went over to the pickup order area and looked at the names on the receipts. After realizing that the name was, in fact, there and ready, she made sure to come over with it after confirming an item in the order, and tap on the receipt taped to the bag while disapprovingly telling me to "AsK FOR iT LIke Thissss NeXt TiMe". The receipt is printed in their store's syntax, which is a shortened name and only the initial of the last name, + a bunch of numbers. How would a customer know this? Lame. read more

A mexican all about fish-score! This chain is more light and healthy than others and are all about sustainable ingredients and locally caught organic fish, I love the decor and the workers are great too. I went a bit hog wild and got a taco with each kind of fish as well as salmon salad. For the boys a kids meal, and meaty tacos. We all really enjoyed the food, some fish was better than others. They have a huge salsa bar with made in house sauces, dips, veggies, fresh 'penos... One of the best I have seen. I did find the food to be expensive, the tacos are $4+ a piece, tacos people you can get burritos for that kinda money around here. It was a piece of fish, slaw, finished. The salmon salad was one of the best I have ever had, so fresh, great dressing, but again tiny and expensive. I would go again if I was really craving fish, were it cheaper I would stop by all the time. read more

Had a craving for Rubio's fish tacos and I wasn't disappointed. I'm pretty sure the rest of their food is tasty, but I got hooked on their fish tacos a long time ago and haven't ventured off into deeper waters to try anything else. Not to mention, after 2:30pm, their fish tacos are just $1.50 each. You can't beat that. Always fresh, always good. The only reason I can't give them 5-stars is be jade I think you should always get chips when you're at a Mexican restaurant. You shouldn't have to pay extra and chips don't come with every meal at Rubio's, it's an additional 79 cents, but it all adds up, especially when you should just automatically get at least a handful of chips. Maybe that's just me, but when it comes to the food, I'd highly recommend it and would highly recommend the fish tacos! read more

Ive always been a fan of rubio's, esp their Taco Tuesday fish taco deals! I used to be a regular at a Rubio's up north and once I moved to Palmdale, I had to make a trip to the rubio's out here. As usual, I came on a Tuesday night for their fish taco deal. Man, I was so happy to see how big their fish tacos were! They were much bigger than the fish tacos I would usually get at a different Rubios. I got soo full from eating 2 tacos. Parking is super convenient here, as it is located in a huge plaza with lots of parking. They also have a nice patio area outside. Service here was great, from my experience. My tacos came out fast and the servers were super friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean too. I will definitely be back to try out more stuff here! Haven't been to a Rubio's for a while. Food tastes the same, and now I see they have healthier options! Not as many healthy options as Sharkey's offers but you can still get stuff without their sauce (which is probably the best part, haha). They have pictures of healthy options on the table but it's not written on their menu for you to just choose it. I guess just point to the picture if you want it. FOOD Salsa Verde Shrimp Taco (4 stars): Cooked well, the sauce they put on this is so good. Grilled Mahi Mahi Taco (3.5 stars): They gave me a good chunk of fish but it was a little over done. Maybe the blackened tastes better. Chips (3 stars): really salty :/ ATMOSPHERE (4 stars) Clean restaurant. Bathrooms weren't bad either. There's a patio to sit on too for outdoor seating. Stopped into Rubio's for some fish tacos for dinner. I'm really not sure why they fry their fish tacos...when I want fish tacos, I want something fresh and light. The beer-battered, fried fish was just sort of soggy and sad. I asked (and paid for) the Fish Tacos Especial (with cheese, guac, and cilantro), and got the World Famous Fish Tacos (with none of the above). Realized it too late to get swapped. Also asked for rice and black beans, and got pinto instead. That aside, this place wasn't too bad. They had a nice patio outside (if only it were a little warmer), and had a small selection of Mexican beers available. LOVE! I love how they have seasonal items. Their Lobster Burrito is my go-to when they have it. I recently tried their Wild Alaska Coho Salmon Burrito and that was really good. Their Mahi Mahi burrito is delicious, too. Their salsa bar is okay- their sauces (Diablo and Jalapeno) are actually much better than their salsa- even to dip your chips into. Came here dinner time on a Friday, and the place was almost empty. It was however, very clean with the salsa bar nicely stocked. My food was ok, the avocado fish tacos were as expected, and freshly prepared. Plenty of parking, and outdoor seating. However, if you're thinking of getting back on the highway, be prepared to make extra turns since left turns and U turns are not kosher leaving the parking lot towards the onramps. read more

I like that the food at rubios is very fresh and not greasy or heavy on fats and lard or deep fried oils or anything. The salsa bar is always good too, i always get the salsa verde and it's very yummy. Not spicy at all which is kind of lame but it has a good flavor to it. I order the nachos which are great! I arrived with my family at 1:48PM, I'm not sure why the line was so long other than the fact that they only had one person working the register we waited patiently and decided what we wanted in line half way through we joked hey we might not make the 2PM cutoff for the lunch special well little did we know that would become a reality, we finally get to the front right when it turned 2PM what's crazy as we were asking up it turned 1:59 to 2:00 we order and the woman at the counter says we can't have the special anymore I replied but it's 2:00 I show her the time she just looks rills her eyes and says even if it's at 2:00 can't do it I said but we were in line for almost 15 minutes she said yeah and giggled that led me to walk out, I refuse to spend my money in an establishment we're service is not a priority SAVE your money go across the street to Sharkeys for better service and food or to a real Mexican eatery this place is not only rude but overpriced......... read more
