AMAZING BRUNCH!! Came here for a Saturday morning brunch with some new friends and had the best time! We got the seasonal beignets to start, they were Brandied Cherry Chocolate Beignets. Delicious!! A friend mine got their winter mimosa flight. All 4 of the mimosas looked so good! I ended up tasting a couple and ordered the Brandied Cherry Mimosa! Very tasty! For my meal, I got the Southern Breakfast. It was pretty basic-- eggs, potatoes, bacon, a biscuit, and a fried green tomato! It was $11.50 which I thought was a little high for the amount I was served, but it was yummy!! Our server was fantastic and great at recommending items on the menu!! This place really let me down! I was so excited to come for my birthday breakfast based on all of the positive reviews I've seen, but it was very underwhelming. So what did I enjoy? The decor was bright and inviting which I loved (1 star). The creamy vanilla spiced latte. DELICIOUS!!! The nutmeg, the whip cream, and the smoothness... was a dream! (2 stars). After that, not one thing impressed me The peach bellini was okay. My salmon omelet was good (not the best or ther worst I've had), but the biscuit was huge and hard, and the potatoes, although cooked perfectly, had zero flavor. I tasted the trifecta, but the entire plate was cold. Breakfast should be served hot, but not one thing we ordered was delivered hot, everything was luke warm at best. If it was hot, maybe I'd have a different experience, but for now... I wouldn't need to come back here again. read more

Let's kick this off with the negatives. The person who answers their phone and the bartender need a lesson in customer service. Both cut you off mid-sentence and both are very short in their response. Maybe overworked and underpaid, but the service was not great. Pancakes were not good, nor was shrimp and grits. The biscuits and beignets I would order again. Oh. Em. Gee. Please can I eat here every day? This place was incredible, and even better, it was SO reasonably priced. This day and age, I appreciate a reasonably priced brunch in the Nashville area. We ordered some of the Goo Goo Cluster pancakes for the table - they were on special. If you don't order these; you'll be sorry. Holy moly. Just do it. I can't say much more. I ordered a three little pigs omelet with cheesy grits. I love me some good grits and these were cooked perfectly! The cheese is just a slice placed on top and melted, but the grits were cooked so well I didn't even care. My friends ordered the Benedict's and loved them. Of course our brunch wouldn't be complete without some adult beverages. The peach bellinis are delish. Go here! You won't regret it. The ambiance is super cute, also. YESSSS I have been a couple times. Once when there was outside seating with tablet umbrellas and that was amazing and another time inside. Our most recent trip we sat at the bar for some drinks first then went for a table. The sweet heat chicken was really good, run of the mill take on chicken and waffles. Ruby Sunshine! I love, love Ruby Sunshine. Right in the heart of downtown Franklin, the aesthetics and ambience inside of this breakfast place are absolutely wonderful, with a lovely vintage feel. The service is amazing and fast; my server was extremely kind and helpful. The food, though, is simply amazing: with very large portions I was happy to take home, and delicious selections. I had the most scrumptious meal here -grits & grillade. I've had this before, but this version was so good. Gouda grits as the base made It so good. Added a biscuit as an extra and it's served with a bourbon butter-melted in my mouth. But the big winner was the excellent Bloody Mary. We had a terrible breakfast at this restaurant. However the manager explained that there was a new chef. She kindly comped the breakfast along with her explanation. The chef had no clue how to cook eggs. First the over medium eggs were raw, whites uncooked, and when returned came back hard enough to bounce off the floor. The grits were so watery they could have been soup. The biscuit served was hard and clearly reheated. My husband's plate was no better. I doubt the chef is still there and my guess is management will make sure that the new chef will know how to cook eggs and grits. So maybe you should check it out. read more

I absolutely love this sister restaurant of the Ruby Slipper in New Orleans. It has the exact same menu, which is amazing! Great event at Ruby Sunshine!!! Ruby Sunshine is firmly rooted in their NOLA heritage with the bold flavors the Crescent City is known for. They deliver the taste Rockies very well. We had a taste of 4 cocktails and 4 dishes. Very generous portions of each. Every one uniquely delicious. My favorite was the hot and sweet chicken. Enough spice and salt to make it really stand out! Yummy! Served with strawberries and French toast. I would eat it again in a minute. Hubbys favorite was the fried green tomatoes with onion and bacon jam ( which was not too sweet). Very good. Sausage gravy and biscuit tasty, beignets warm and delicious. The staff was courteous, funny and welcoming. The venue was bright and happy. Will definitely return. An excellent place for more than basic mimosas and bloody Mary's. Peach Bellinis, margaritas, and iced coffees were well worth a visit!! I just don't get it. This place is always busy but it's absolutely terrible. We gave it a second chance after a horrible first experience which included highlights of 90 mins to get food, wrong orders, stale biscuits and just overall bad food and service. After seeing how busy this place is, we decided to give it one more try. Sat at the bar. Took 10 mins to get acknowledged by the bartender. 45 mins to get food (and we got there before the crowd so it wasn't even that busy). I had the breakfast tacos. The eggs were foamy and really odd tasting, the tortillas are chewy, hard and you could barely eat them. My order was wrong, again. I ordered chorizo and didn't get it. The cold brew coffee could take the paint off your walls. I took one sip of it and didn't drink the rest. You could use it to stain your fence. My grits were cold. Not even luke warm... cold. Rice pudding cold. My other half got an omelette with the driest chicken sausage I've ever seen. 1 hour and 15 mins later, we walked out annoyed and feeling like we completely wasted our calories and money.... Again. Does this place have some magic golden dish that we're just not getting? At this point I doubt it, but it's the only thing I can figure out other than it's just another tourist trap in downtown Franklin. Disappointing. We will never go back. read more

The hostess put down a drink menu... so I decided to have an Irish coffee. It's the weekend after all. She said they didn't serve alcohol until 10. My partner says it probably would be good to not put the drink menu down then. She was not nice. Then we ordered a coffee and orange juice. She brought my coffee... nope no orange juice. Waited for her to come back and take our order and bring the orange juice. Waited while she took everyone's order who arrived after us. Finally she realized she forgot the orange juice and got it. Finally took our order. Guess what? What's on the big board... nope. Can't have that! Now I will say my salmon avocado toast was quite tasty... my partners food was not as flavorful. All in all given the worse than abysmal service, the fact that their menu is inaccurate and we were made to feel stupid for attempting to order something on the menu that wasn't available... The food was alright but our service wasn't. We ordered an appetizer and got it after we got our other food. Refills took forever and I don't 100% like my meal but there was so much goat cheese in my omelette it was hard to taste anything else. We were super impressed by their menu and after seeing it I initially thought I was going to regret waiting so long to try it. But unfortunately we were both a bit underwhelmed. It's a really cute atmosphere and our waiter was super outgoing, but my food came out cold. Not lukewarm, but cold. My husband's order was lukewarm as well. The apple pie beignets were 10/10, though!
