It was stuffed with one peach slice per half. No other filling. The benedicts unfortunately had over cooked eggs. The shrimp had poop veins as well. The pork Benedict was the best by far. The biscuits were very dense and doughy. The coffee was terrible. The condiment situation was not good. Not enough ketchup for the kids meals. No knives for anyone. I had breakfast at Ruby Sunshine on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 9:30 am. This breakfast/brunch restaurant showed a lot of promise based on the wide variety of staple breakfast dishes on the menu and their online pictures. I ordered one of their popular dishes, the trifecta benedicts, and was quite disappointed. Despite the presentation being on point and looking great, I thought each of the benedicts in the trifecta was bland and had very little flavor. I could even tell that the shrimp in the Bayou shrimp benedict was bland just by looking at how pale and discolored they were. They didn't taste fresh either. Eggs benedicts must have a poached eggs with a runny yolks; however, there were some inconsistencies in the cook across the 9 poached eggs in the 3 trifectas that were ordered at our table. Some eggs were slightly undercooked as the yolks were cold (or were probably because they weren't cooked to order?) while another was overdone and had a less runny yolk. Service was average. We had a mishap that occurred in one dish and the manager offered a 50% discount, but was still charged for full price. Overall, the food didn't taste as good as it looked and the fact that management didn't honor their discount was enough to not return to this establishment in the future. read more

Ruby Sunshine is a fantastic brunch spot in Franklin. I've been here once before this trip and it was phenomenal. This trip didn't live up to last visit but was still outstanding. The service is fast and staff is very friendly. I got the trifecta eggs benedicts. The chicken was amazing and the creole shrimp had a tangy rich flavor, which i liked. First time here and an amazing meal. I had the Trifecta of Benedict's and here's the thing. The crispy fried chicken was as good as you'd find at a chicken place; the large shrimp as good as anything you'd find at a seafood place; and the applewood pork as good as anything you'd find at a bbq joint. Food was meh though. My friend said her fried chicken was too dry. I had the Florentine omelette and would recommend and my other friend got the avo toast. We were excited to try a few mimosas and morning drinks. There was a great selection. We had the Ruby Mimosa, Bloody Mary and then later morning margaritas and Bellini. Bummer that all the drinkware was acrylic and dirty/spotty. Our drinks were not cold either since I think the glasses probably came out of washing. No one likes a Luke warm mimosa! We enjoyed a sampling of beignets, gravy and biscuits, fried green tomatoes, and sweet heat chicken with French toast bites. I could not have asked for a better selection, but the chicken was my favorite with the fried green tomatoes being a close second. The cocktails were carefully planned to match the food, with the morning margarita being my favorite. The Bloody Mary and Peach Bellini were liked by many, but an acquired taste for sure. Save your money! Their NOLA inspired food was super bland. If there was any flavor at all, it wasn't a good thing. Chicken was overcooked, so it was like eating jerky. Breakfast potatoes looked and tasted like they'd been left out on a counter for 3 days. Biscuits were dry bricks. Service was mid. Table was very sticky, enough that napkins and glasses stuck to it. Silverware was dirty. The restrooms were on another floor outside of the restaurant, but there was only one hidden directional sign. This was my second time eating at Ruby Sunshine. The menu is a bit more limited at the moment, but still filled with delicious options for everyone. The coffee is soulfully good. The mimosa was ok. My partner really enjoyed it, but not a wow factor for me. The shrimp tacos were excellent (different meats to choose from!). I also had a bite of his BLT (he added an over easy egg). It was very flavorful. Previously I had the eggs Benedict with a crab cake and one with salmon it was outstanding! Super friendly staff. Our wait time was a bit long, but they kept coming to the table and apologizing and updating us. They also ended up comping the meal bc of our long wait time. We were very surprised and grateful. Recently visited Ruby Sunshine on a Saturday morning for breakfast before shopping in downtown Franklin. We arrived fairly early around 930 and did not have to wait for a table (party of 2). The meals we got were delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and the biscuits were nice and warm as if they were fresh out of the oven. This is a popular spot for breakfast so it does get crowded and can be a little loud. Friendly service. Will be back! read more

In a nutshell, solid but unspectacular. I had the spinach and portobello omelette and my wife had the eggs with fruit and chicken sausage. Omelette was decent and they did make with cracked eggs (vs an egg mix), sausage links were thick and good, and fruit cup was fine. My wife's meal was also solid though the chicken sausage had consistency of beyond meat. Downsides - no one knew we were seated (essentially no wait for a Sunday am which is amazing) so didn't get to order for a long time; grits have dairy in them and no option, and breakfast potatoes are deep fried. Oh, and biscuit with jelly was great though I wish it was served hot. Again, very solid, nothing amazing but worth a return visit read more

Franklin, TN is one of my favorite towns in this country. We've been to so many great restaurants here and this weekend we got to Ruby Sunshine for the first time. My wife and I joined my daughter and her family and we had a great breakfast here! I went with one of my favorites, the stuffed French toast. It was very good. Next time I think I may order one of the eggs Benedict choices. My son-in-law had one and it looked very tasty. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was quaint and cute on the Franklin Town Square and we went at 2PM on a Saturday, so it wasn't too busy (they close at 3). Our server was nice and attentive throughout the meal. My sisters started off with coffees that they said were descent. We also each enjoyed our food and pretty much cleared our plates! I got the shrimp and grits, which was very savory and had a good portion size. It came with a biscuit that was SUPER fresh and warm and a side of honey butter. I really enjoyed both! I've lived in Franklin for two years and I never tried Ruby sunshine until this weekend when my parents visited and told me someone recommended it... I will say that when Franklin I haven't had a breakfast that I was obsessed with, but Ruby sunshine is hands-down, the best breakfast in Franklin. A friend mine got their winter mimosa flight. All 4 of the mimosas looked so good! I ended up tasting a couple and ordered the Brandied Cherry Mimosa! Very tasty!
