Dropped in for lunch - restaurant was busy. Waited several minutes to be greeted by staff and seated. Only one server apparently for entire dining room. Once seated, drinks were ordered and brought out very quickly - food ordered also came very quickly ! Good options on the salad bar. I made a mistake in my order (totally my fault!), and our server immediately took care of this for us and got the replacement order to the kitchen. We stopped in on Sunday, August 16th around 5pm. We were seated promptly by the person at the front and our waiter approached us immediately and took our drink order. The salad bar was fresh and appealing although I agree with a previous review that it isn't one of the larger salad bars. Still, everything was fresh, neat, clean and very appetizing. Hubby ordered a cheeseburger with french fries and I ordered the Chicken Bella (mushrooms and artichoke hearts in a creamy sauce over a grilled chicken breast.. The chicken breast itself was small but that was OK with me because it was one of their fit and trim entrées. I took a bite of my chicken and it was delicious; it tasted like it had been freshly grilled. On my second fork full, I noticed there was a hair on my plate. Needless to say, I could not eat it and I summoned my waiter. He apologized so many times I lost track trying to count. He took my plate away and the next thing I know the manager appeared before our table. He too, apologized many times and said for me to order whatever I wanted from the entire menu and he would comp my meal. Something like this, unfortunate as it was, can happen anywhere so I don't blame the restaurant for that. I said I would like to order the same thing but I wanted some assurance that I wouldn't be getting my old dinner plate back. He emphatically assured me that it had already been thrown out. Believing him 100%, I felt comfortable enough to order the same dish again. I am absolutely certain that I did not get my old dinner back because the chicken breast was double the size of my first one! I devoured half my meal and it was so much that I took half of it home with me. Kudos to the greeter at the door, our waiter, and the manager. He did the right thing and I applaud him for it. I really did not even want to give a one star. I am sooo disappointed in my dining experience today. We waited for a good ten minutes to have someone come to seat us. Only saw maybe 4 people working. The table was sticky and there was food and garbage on the floor. We waited to our waiter to even acknowledge us. We ordered drinks and food. The waiter (nothing against him...he was doing the best he could) had open sores on his hands that were bleeding and one of our drinks had blood smeared down the side. We got the salad bar with our meals...which I should have known better to look before paying $5.00 extra for it. The lettuce was slimy and brown, tomatoes were wrinkly, the beats were all dried up, coleslaw was wilted and slimy, the noodles with ham and peas had no dressing at all (I put a scoop of ranch dressing on them) hardly anything there or it was the bottom of the container. We had to find someone to get us silverware that was dirty and the one fork in mine was sticky. The food was cold, I got chicken tenders which were cooked so hard you could only eat the middle, my daughters Mac and cheese was just noodles-no cheese, my husbands burger was ok for a frozen reheated patty but the lettuce was completely brown and the onions were dried up. My baked potato was cold I couldn't get butter to melt on it. We even debated taking the uneaten food home to our barn cats. Unfortunately it was so awful I really wanted to walk out. So expensive for hardly any edible food. Maybe 4 or 5 people working in the entire restaurant...our waiter was working 6 tables and the bar. It's been a while since we've been here. So we decided to stop in after receiving an email advertising their $5.00 quesadilla special. I went with the quesadilla and my husband ordered the cheeseburger with salad bar. He said the salad bar was in desperate need of some attention. The ingredients looked old, not fresh. The cheeseburger was overcooked - very overcooked. The quesadilla was bland, not bad, but not much taste. The cheese used was already congealing when brought to the table. Visit 4/29/10 I had the opportunity to dine at several restaurants while in Gettysburg on business. Spent $50 on an ok dinner at J's at the Village. Spent nearly the same on an overcooked fillet mignon and and boring baked potato at the Dobber House. After a few dining experiences, I was convinced that the food in Gettysburg is subpar at best. Thank goodness for Ruby Tuesday! This may be your typical chain restaurant, however, everything about this establishment from the first greeting as I entered the door was fantastic! IMO, the food here puts even the "finer restaurants" in the area to shame. Service- Spectacular. It is obvious they pride themselves on customer service. Food - everything I ordered was very good. I had the Southwestern Eggrolls as an appetizer. The dipping sauce complimented the rolls very well. For my entree, I had the Avocado Bacon cheeseburger - The Best turkey burger on a pretzel bun ever! Endless fries and a homemade mango ice tea with bite sized pieces of mango throughout..I was in heaven! And if course I couldn't leave without ordering the new yogurt parfait to go. I could not believe how delicious this perfect little dessert was. This is another must try if you enjoy parfaits or healthy alternatives to cake, cookies, or pie. I highly recommend this place. Wow, how did this place get such high reviews?!? We made the mistake of stopping here on June 8th on our way home to VA. I will start by saying the host that seated us and our waitress were both very friendly. I figured that we couldn't go wrong with Ruby Tuesdays because if nothing else we could rely on the salad bar, which is always good. That was mistake #1 in our thinking. This RT doesn't have a salad bar they have a "garden bar", which is a really, really scaled down version of the usually impressive RT salad bar. So we start with salads and with limited toppings they were just like a house salad you get at most places. The one thing at RT you can always count on is their awesome pumpernickel croutons. Mistake #2, the croutons were extremely old and stale, but in a disgusting mushy way. They totally ruined our salads. They were having a deal on drinks so I splurged and ordered a mai tai. It looked like no mai tai I had ever seen as it was the color of light lemon water. But it tasted fairly decent, only considering it was on the bargain menu. If I had paid more than $5 I would have sent it back. I ordered the 3 veggie platter with the cheddar mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes, and grilled zucchini. Actually, it may have been 4 items but if it was 4 the other item was unmemorable. The mashed potatoes were served lukewarm and were nothing to write home about, the zucchini was very undercooked and the tomatoes would have been impossible to mess up unless the chef didn't know how to use a knife. My boyfriend ordered the crab cake 'dinner' (which should be an appetizer). He got one little crab cake and some of the lame cheddar mashed potatoes. This is not enough for a grown man to survive on! The crab cake tasted, well, like it had no taste. At this point we were so disappointed in the skills, or lack thereof, of the cook we just wanted to get back on the road. Low and behold our waitress had completely disappeared. Literally, we waited for over 15 minutes for her return. Did she take her lunch break? Who knows? This experience has made me hesitant to ever stop at another RT. Both of us very much regretted that we didn't hit the Subway in the same shopping center instead. Went there for dinner one night and was just looking for something simple. Got the peach lemonade and quesso and chips which were delicious for an appetizer. However when it came to the entrees we got the sirloin steak and hickory smoked bacon burger. Both were very bad; the steak was covered in grease and looked unappetizing, the side were broccoli which was salty and covered in butter, and mashed potatoes which could have been from a box. The burger was greasy and had absolutely no flavor. Server was amazing and sweet but food was very underwhelming. read more

So on a long journey of looking for a cheap and quick place to eat, my 4 friends and I decided to stop at Ruby Tuesday. A couple things stuck out to me and that was the peaceful ambiance but i unfortunately have to say the staff wasn't that welcoming. Just had dinner here at 9 pm on a Friday. It was relatively quiet with a few couples and families dining. We were seated right away and the hostess and waitress were both friendly. We had the tempura green beans as an appetizer--very good. We both got the salad bar. It was clean and well stocked with fresh greens, spinach and the usual toppings. They also had fresh peas, edamame, broccoli salad, pasta salad and potato salad. A good meal with good service. read more

What can I say - Ruby Tuesday is a chain restaurant that falls in the terrible valley between edible food and good food. My fish fillet was merely the result of trying to avoid the +1000 calorie meals that riddle the menu. The calorie information is available online, and easily accessible, which is nice for those of us who worry about such things. The second star is for this individual location - clean and quiet, which a salad bar that is kept extremely nice. The music was a bit strange - at one point I swear we were listening to Alvin and The Chipmunks - but what can you expect. Service was a bit slow, but not enough to irritate. read more

We've eaten here several times and really enjoy the salad bar. It's always fresh, neat, and organized. Today we tried the Sweet Tea ribs and chicken served with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were so spicy you couldn't eat them and the coleslaw had so much black pepper in it that it was horrible. It definitely was not your traditional coleslaw. The server came to the table and wanted to take your order immediately with the drink order, he acted surprised when we were not ready to order. He definitely could use some pointers on friendliness. Overall the food was fair not as good as expected but the salad bar rocks! Yeah, so we were visiting Gettysburg for a long weekend and we met some friends at Ruby Tuesdays (not my choice...would have preferred something more local and unique). Anyhow, hadn't been to RT's in years and I heard they did a big menu update so I decided to go in with an open mind. That said, my salad with grilled chicken was not good. The lettuce was soft an wilted...the other produce didn't taste fresh at all. The chicken was ok, but all in all I wouldn't go here again. One thing I will say is that they have a very extensive menu with a ton of different offerings. The guys I went with seemed to be satisfied with what they ordered. Dined with my family at this RT on Sunday evening 12/4. When we arrived, there were signs on the door apologizing that their heat was out, and they had portable heaters on several tables throughout the restaurant. That was a bit odd, but we were tired and hungry, so figured we'd hope for the best. My wife and 2 sons were happy with their food (wife and oldest son had burgers, and my youngest had the kids' cheese pizza). I ordered a ribeye steak, medium rare, and had a conversation with the waiter asking him to make sure it wasn't overcooked, as I've had previous experience with RT (one in South Carolina) turning a steak into shoe leather. When my steak arrived it was well done. No pink at all. The waiter took it back, presumably to have them make another. 10 minutes later, an assistant manager came over, apologized, said they'd take the steak off the bill and asked me if I'd like to have the steak redone. Well, yes, I'd like to eat...and why did it take 10 minutes just to ask me if I'd like the steak I ordered? 20 or so minutes later, the second steak arrived. It was basically raw. There was a small scoop of herb butter on top of the steak, and it was not even melting. That should have been a clue for me. I was tired and hungry, so I tried to eat some of it. The steak itself was a stringy mess...no marbling, just gristle and fat. I should have just sent it back again. I'm pretty sure, based on the last 16 hours or so, that it gave me food poisoning. I'm not going to put that fully at the feet of RT, because they do warn about undercooked meats and food-borne illness, and I was the one who made the choice to try to stomach the second steak. But the lesson I've learned here is that I will NEVER order steak at a Ruby Tuesday, and while the staff were apologetic, and tried to make it right, I don't think I will likely return to this particular RT again, and will be ranking RT a good bit lower on my list of places to dine out in the future. read more

Horrible customer service. I will never return to this establishment again. The food was subpar, and more inline with fast food. My last visit ended with a piece of cake with ice cream on top. The cake was so horrible the kids wouldn't even eat it, despite the massive amount of chocolate sauce on it. We kept going back hoping service would get better. Worst takeout I've ever picked up. The cobb salad looked completely unappetizing. The bowl of soup ordered was more like a cup. The avocado on the sandwich was mostly browned. And the kicker was that they completely forgot a third of our order, which was unnoticeable due to how it was packed. Their food lacks luster and the cooked meats are generally very dry. We don't eat there often, but when I got a coupon for a BOGO from their to go menu, I thought I'd give them another try. I tried to place an order on line and there was no place for their coupon code. I called and was told by the manager they had to get to come to the phone "you will have to pull up the email and code at the bar when you come in to get your order". Ok. I get there and am told by the bartender she will have to scan my card again, I will be charged TWICE (for the full price) and I will need to check my credit card in a few days to make sure one of the charges came off my card. Then I try to pull up the coupon they sent me (which pulls up everywhere in the world) EXCEPT inside their building, connected to their WiFi! There are many options which we have enjoyed here in the past which are no longer on the menu. The steak was very nice (we are used to eating steaks from Fulton and Prime, or Peter Luger) So of course the meat is at a different class alltogether BUT nonetheless, it was very good. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, the potatoes were great. I got this drink with mango bits and some other fruit in it and it was sooo refreshing and good. The people were nice and attentive. Disappointed again...Stopped for a quick meal on Friday night. No waiting at all so that was nice. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger...pretty basic...ordered it medium well...came out basically rare. Waitress was very nice about it...she said they would remake it but in my mind if you can't make a cheeseburger it raises a lot of questions about quality of cook staff.
