My husband and I ordered food from Ruby Tuesday. When my husband arrived, they stated that somebody else with his exact name picked up our food. As we explored this a little bit more, it was revealed that a third-party driver, GrubHub, had taken our food. The staff argued my husband up and down that his exact name was called out. My husbands last name is extremely uncommon. I could see if his name was very common. I called back in after my husband left and asked for a manager. I heard the person that answered the phone say that had to be that man's wife. When the manager got on the phone, I think her name was Teresa, she was very nonchalant about the whole situation. As we all know COVID is spiking , and to have a random person, picking up our food and touching our bag is crazy. The driver brought the food back in the restaurant with a thank you back and not a Ruby Tuesday bag. I'm missing food, broccoli to be exact. The entire way that the situation was handled was just nonchalant. It was close to closing and I get that everybody was interested in going home, but where was the customer service? The handling chain of our food was all wrong, the customer service was all wrong, and initially had we not fight back, they would've just told us that we had to eat almost $50 worth of charges. We literally had to explain the situation for them to even acknowledge it. It just so happened that the driver came back in with a chipotle bag and had a GrubHub stickers on it. How could that man walk out of that restaurant without GrubHub stickers on our the bag to identify our order as a GrubHub order? We didn't order from a third-party vendor. We order directly on the Ruby Tuesday website, so how could that mixup happen? I'll tell you how it probably happened, lack of customer service, and lack of attention to detail. My husband and I usually come here every now and again and always got great service. Not once was there anything bad until we came today. For being a Monday evening, it was not busy at all. But we did notice, however, that our waitress was attentive in the beginning. When we got out meals, we noticed she was nowhere to be found again till we were ready for the check. When we ordered our food, it felt as if they were taking their sweet time preparing it. Our appetizer was the queso and chips which tasted like it was just a powdery mix that you just add water to. My husband ordered a medium rare steak with a half order of the Nashville baby-back ribs with Mac n cheese, broccoli-cheddar soup and crispy shrimp. His steak was not cooked to what he asked, his order of ribs were super dry, when he got his soup it was cold as if it had been sitting for a while and when his steak was sent back to be cooked to his liking, he got sick eating it. As for my order, everything was just the opposite. I ordered the hickory chicken with broccoli and Mac n cheese. While my husbands order was completely messed up and simply not right, my order was hot and tasty the first time around. My husband and I visited last night around 8:30. There were a few people taking up perhaps 4 table during our meal. One thing I notice was that the carpet was dirty, with lots of crumbs from other dinners. Our table had an old napkin under it. The first booth they wanted us to sit in had seating that was ripped pretty bad. The tables did not seem to clean either. We ordered Asiago Peppercorn steaks and decided to try the salad bar. It had lots of greens but sparse on the other veggies. Their prepared cold salads looked very mayonnaisey and unappealing. Thus, I cannot vouch for their flavors. As a few more customers came in, they cleaned up the salad bar and semi stocked it. The steaks took a while to arrive, but when they did they were very tasty. The grill zucchini were great too. The upside was our server was very pleasant but she wasn't around much when we needed her. We opted out of the unlimited cheddar biscuits, so we could not find her to get additional napkins for our salads that we decided to start in on before the steaks came After we got our steaks and asked for sauces, it was a while before she returned with them. Steaks don't stay warm long, so we did not really get a chance to enjoy the steaks warm as when they first come out with the sauces. I think that when the order is taken sauce requests should be noted. Once she did come, she was very attentive and eager to serve. She just did not return in a timely fashion. I knew it... I know it had bad reviews but I was gonna give them a fair shot... My friend and I ordered steaks and they both came out over cooked no pink what so ever... some times that happens to me when I order medium, but my friend ordered a medium rare and looked well done. They asked if we wanted to send them back after we complained but you can't un cook my steak and we didn't want to wait around for try number two , plus you never send food back. It just sucks paying full price for steak you didn't order that's all. The one good thing was free refills on their hand crafted teas and lemonades. Went here for the first time the other night. The two of us were seated immediately and they waitress was nice! I ordered my sirloin steak medium and received it basically burnt and kinda tough. It was still pretty good though. I also had 2 tequila margaritas, the first one was good and the second won was straight up alcohol with a lime in it. We gave this place another try yesterday since I just had back surgery and having a hard time driving for to long. Our server was great she was really nice and was super friendly! My son ordered a kids meal pizza, the pizza was still frozen and cold all over when they brought it out, the manager didn't even felt the need to apologize. I got a unseasoned mushroom burger that had blood on the bottom bun and when I asked for mayo I got some bad mayo (feeling the consequences of that mayo today) the burger patty's where also over grilled and pretty mediocre. I would've had more from it if I got the mushroom Swiss burger from MC Donald's it definitely would've been cheaper and less upsetting. Again the salad bar is the only great thing about this place but after all not worth going to at all. Service the last few times I have been in has been poor. The last visit will be my last. After waiting literally an hour for the lunch special of zuchinni cakes/salad bar the entree was delivered. I cut into the first one and the bottom of it was beyond burned. The second was was still raw and the egg used in it was still stringy/runny. As I grabbed the server's attention she came by and asked if everything was ok. BEFORE I could tell her no - she was off to the bar to show the bartender a text. Warning below is a story about a woman and her burger! An eating experience indeed. My husband and I arrived here for a little lunch date, the staff always welcome you with a friendly smile, and this is something that had always been consistent, which is the friendly staff. We were sat down at our tables and unfortunately it got a little wonky, but it wasn't entirely too bad. Our waitress seem new? I am only assuming so, considering she did not seem too confident when taking our orders, and she wasn't too diligent on checking us. Our food arrived in roughly 15 minutes or so, which is a pretty average wait time. Except my order came in as a bland, almost watered out patty burger, are burgers suppose to be so bland and lacking in salt? It had no sauce on top (and I had to add ketchup thinking it's whatever) and I was pretty confused considering I ordered a BBQ triple instead received a bland patty with lettuce pickles and onions and so forth. Of course I figured maybe I read the menu wrong and I received exactly what I received. So trying not to be picky I took a bite, of course that did not work out. Later on our server came by to check on us, she barely stood near our table (I had to turn my head slight back, I feel servers should at least stand in front of your table or wait to fully hear what you had to say) and instead seem somewhat eager to just bolt back, until of course I addressed the burger issue. She took the plate back, asked me what was wrong with it and if I would like to place a different order, and me being plain Jane, I requested for the same burger and gave her my burger synopsis (yes I love my burgers.) Later on I was approached by who I may assume to be the manager. She kindly ask me what were the issues with the burger and we exchange words, I repeat the usual, bland no salt, tastes kind of watered out. She returns to the kitchen, soon after she returned once more to make final sure on what kind of burger I am requesting for, it turns out she may have realized I had unknowingly received the wrong burger, so that issue is finally resolved. I'm very impressed by the service provided when issues come up in regards to the food, she made me feel very comfortable and asked all of the necessary questions. While waiting, our server arrived to the table to get refills, which is great, the more you wait the more you drink! Later on I finally received the burger and yes it tastes exactly right! While I was about 5 minutes or so into eating my burger, our initial server came by with a plate that had a burger/fries on it, it seem like it was for me? Although the burger she had, has sauce but looks completely different compared to what I was eating. She realize the error and turned back around. Upon noticing this it makes me wonder if there was a communication issue in the kitchen? And it also made me wonder if the entire issue fell down to the waitress maybe serving the food when it wasn't complete yet? I am uncertain as to why there was a hiccup during our lunch, but in the end everything was resolved, the staff is still friendly and said good bye as we left. All is well! But the waitress was rather questionable and as someone who had years of experience as a waitress herself, I try not to be a jerk about it. This has been my 4th visit here. Don't get the ribs and chicken tenders with fries. It looks good on the menu, but when it comes to the table it looks like pigeon and cat ribs. The ribs aren't even tasty. Poor serving size for $18. The cheese cake with blackberry topping, salad bar and the burgers are the best thing you can get here. Raven did a good job as my server. Myself my fiancé and our children just moved to NC from WA state. This was the first restaurant we ate at when we got settled in. We came in for lunch it wasn't super busy, we all placed our orders and got our food in about 15 minutes or so (which is wonderful) the salad bar was great, my kids devoured their food and my fiancé (very picky) was completely satisfied. We have since stopped in for dinner a few times and every single time has been exceptional. The food is well seasoned, the staff is friendly and attentive! The GM is wonderful, she got us signed up for the reward emails, and we chatted with her for awhile. Very nice clearly enjoys her what she does, not to mention she's doing an outstanding job! Disappointed. Wife and I have a soft spot for "Ruby Tuesdays" where ever we go since it is a chain we went to a lot when we first started dating. It's chain bar and grill type so it wasn't like I expected gourmet, I just expected what you get pretty much any of their locations, a nice variety of grill type entrees reasonably priced and their famous salad bar to top it off. At this location though service was slow, the food was dry and under-seasoned, and the salad bar had empty spaces that weren't refilled during the whole time we were there or looked and tasted aged like it had sat out for a very long time. It was pretty bad. I will probably try this place again since like I said I usually like this chain, and am hoping we were there on a fluke bad day. Today 5/21/17 my wife and I were at this location and it was not a good experience. Waitress took our order and that's the last we heard from her until time to bring the bill. The fact that the sirloin was so salty that you had to drink the entire glass of tea to wash it down was irrelevant because we never saw the waitress at our table again. Oh she passed right by us 6-7 times on the way to the large party of about 8 people that she was falling over herself to help and on the way to the other 5 people in the booth right behind ours that she was eagerly waiting on but for the two of us, NOPE never saw her again until it was time to bring the bill. Can only assume that she was hoping for a large tip from a couple larger parties and didn't want to be bothered with the two in the booth right beside the big group, although im usually a very good tipper, or at least would have been had we had a waitress to tip. As mentioned the sirloin was so salty that my wife nor myself could finish it, so when we were finally able to get a check, there laying on the table was a partially eaten sirloin, half a chicken breast and some crunchy rice, with two empty glasses that were never refilled to allow us to choke down the rest of the salty food.
