Bacon Cheeseburger w/seasoned fries
Leon S.

Had heard a lot about this place, never been around where one was serving. Until I was in City of Commerce. I was blown away with their service. Everyone was pleasant to talk to, servers came around often to make sure you had everything for your meal. The food came out in record time. By the time we finished ordering our milkshake was already at our table in under 5mins it felt. Where it does lack... is in cleanliness. I might've come after lunch rush so I understand. But the service & food was amazing.

Apple, Pecan & Bleu Cheese Salad (with crispy Chicken Tenders)

We came here with a large group of friends and everyone enjoyed the food. I had the apple, walnut and blue cheese salad and it was very good and fresh. It came standard with the balsamic vinaigrette but we asked for ranch on the side, which was so good! The ranch was homemade and fresh, very tasty. Also tried some of the French fries, sweet potato fries, and the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese had some burnt cheese on it and it was delicious. The fries were also pretty good, but a little more on the bland side. The service was a little slow and we felt that the waiter had a little too many folks he was helping. But we did appreciate that he could do each order individually in terms of payment so that was nice.

I come here a few times a year when I visit the Citadel to get some shopping done during the seasonal sales. The restaurant is always busy but I have never had to wait to get seated. The staff is very efficient and clears tables and cleans them immediately after the guest leaves. I always get the mushroom Swiss burger and upgrade to sweet potato fries. The food comes out super fast and is always fresh and tasty. The price has gone up in the past few years to keep up with inflation but I feel that it's still a pretty good deal. Especially with unlimited fries! Parking is plentiful in the Citadel. Restrooms are surprisingly clean. Staff is friendly. No wonder I eat here every time I go shopping at the Citadel!

Seafood Combo

I stopped by Ruby's Diner after shopping at the Citadel Outlets. I ordered the seafood combo with the fried fish and shrimp. The food was very good, the fish and shrimp were crispy and seasoned well . Note the combo does not come with a drink however the large portions make up for it. The service was good and the staff stopped by my table a few times to ensure I had everything I needed. I would recommend to anyone shopping nearby that wants a quick and tasty bite before heading home.

There's nothing too special about this place except that it's the only dine-in table service restaurant at the Citadel. It's a typical 50s diner. 50s decor and red and white booths. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. The Albacore Melt hit the spot, but it wasn't special. Service was fine. It will get the job done if you want burgers and shakes at a sit-down place. Otherwise, you may be better off at the outlet food court.

I have never been to the citadel but we had an appointment near by. We were seated right away! Jason was our server and he was attentive and super nice!! Our food came out very quickly and my salad was so fresh and tasty with plenty of Ranch!!

Let's start off by same. Good place to come and get yourself. Some food. Take a break from shopping nice 80s dinner the food. I had the burger, which all rate a 7 out of 10. The meat was a bit dry parts of the burger the bread was nice and soft the fries. Tasted almost like McDonald's fries. But over all it's good the service was fast since the moment we walked in server was polite and ask for his opinion on the Burger will be great, or which is his favorite. And also the one that sells the most, so we went with the Hickory Burger. Divine here is pretty chill. We love the music. Bathroom needed a bit of obtaining, but it's a restaurant. You know it's possible that some people are inconsiderate and just drop everything on the Floor.

Getting together with family for a birthday celebration. What better place to meet for fun is the outlet stores. Yes this location is inside the citadel outlet store. Ruby's has a private parking lot just for Ruby's customers which is very easy for parking. They have a one hour parking limit but they will make exemptions for large parties. The staff is friendly and willing to assist. They took great care of our large party. The food was tasty, hot and delicious. Once again great place to meet family. Shop later if you want but move your car

First time at Ruby's Diner and we just ordered Frings (combination of Fries and Onion rings ($9.49), a kids Vanilla Malt ($5.99) a coffee shake ($7.99) and a Mint Chip Shake ($7.99). We really enjoyed everything. The onion rings were nice and crisp and the fries were average shoe string fries. This is a classic diner with an old Nash Car right behind the Host/Hostess stand. Our server was Brianna and she was great. They have a decent sized menu with salads, burgers, sandwiches and a few other items to choose. We just needed a mid afternoon snack/treat.

Ricky absolutely made our visit to Ruby's Diner at the Citadel Outlets a delight--he was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely kind, especially when I accidentally spilled my water and he handled it with total grace, quickly getting us settled at a new table without making me feel awkward at all. The whole diner looked adorable with its festive Christmas decorations, which added a cozy, happy vibe to our meal. We ordered the corned beef hash and the "Really" Big Breakfast; both were tasty and satisfying, though I do wish they offered hash browns on the side to round things out. Overall, great service, cheerful atmosphere, and a solid breakfast spot!

First time stopping by Ruby's Diner and if I'm being completely honest, the visit was simply out of pure convenience. With me staying at the Doubletree, Ruby's Diner was a brisk walk away. Being that my daughter is pretty selective with what she's willing to eat and I had pretty much exhausted all of her go-to meals @ the mall within the first few days that we were here. I couldn't tell you how relieved I was to find this establishment offering typical American foods because a kid can always go for a hotdog!! Purchase: Kids Hotdog [comes with fries] Large Soda Crispy Green Beans Old Fashioned Vanilla Soft Serve Food: The hotdog is just your typical wiener. The fries accompanying the meal were pale, soggy, and just not very appetizing. The green bean fries were excessively oily. The vanilla soft serve was the best part of the meal. 2 stars for the food quality and taste. Bonus points for the super cute paper car provided for my toddler to decorate and enjoy. She literally held on to it for weeks before I was finally able to get rid of it [without her knowing] and replaced it with a plastic car tray dinner set.

2.5 The Diner itself is gorgeous! It's like walking back in time. The decor was incredible and our waiter was so kind but the food didn't hit the mark for me. The food was just okay. I don't think I'll be visiting again but it's worth checking out if you want the Diner feel.

Mushroom Swiss Burger

Always enjoyed eating here whenever I finished my shopping at the outlets. I remember another location like this in Redondo Beach, which sadly closed down. So this is the 2nd closest location to me. Also, everytime I come here I like to bring up that my husband painted the car that is displayed in restaurant. He was working at a body shop years back and had this as a project. Anyways, I've only been here 2 times. This review is based on my 2nd time, which was recent. I ordered my usual Mushroom and Swiss burger with chili cheese fries. Sad to say the chili cheese to fries ratio was not balanced. Got little chili and cheese on my fries, thus my minus 1 star. Our waitress was nice, but talked low and it was hard to hear her at times. But still nice girl. The ambiance is just like your 80's diner theme. Which I enjoy very much. Not much complaints with my last visit. I wouldn't get the chili cheese fries side again. But I would come back whenever I am craving it.

Did the chili recipe change? It Used to be shredded beef chili and more savory, now it's ground beef chili like canned, was it changed?

I recently visited Ruby's Diner, and I noticed this, too. I was looking forward to the chili cheese fries that I remember (I've moved to Georgia, and they don't have Ruby's Diner where I live). I was disappointed when I realized the chili has… Read more

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

Bestia was unfortunately very overhyped. The restaurant encourages ordering shareable plates, but…read morethe portions were extremely small, and the food itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing memorable. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server was unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. One friend in our group doesn't drink, and when we asked if her mocktail could be served in a cocktail glass so she could feel included, he simply said no. He also refused to make an espresso martini despite having the ingredients available. To make matters worse, one of our dishes never arrived. When we brought it up, the server responded, "I asked you if it came out and you said yes," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Afterward, he took the bill and appeared to be talking negatively about our table. For a restaurant with such a stellar reputation, I expected much better. Between the tiny portions, average food, and poor service, I won't be back

I had the pleasure of dining at the Dal Rae for the first time and I was blown away in every aspect…read morehow amazing everything was, every detail, every bite in an atmosphere that's very hard to find these days. Let's start with a little history of the Dal Rae, it opened in 1951 and has been sharing its extraordinary menu and dining experience to many including my wife's parents and family who dined there regularly for over 40 years. My wife's parents and her sisters would go there regularly as children. The Dal Rae offers a unique "old school" charm from the classic dining room vibe that you seldom see, don't get me wrong there are still a few of these places around but you know I experienced so much that I just don't see anymore. The dark dining room lit by table candles and dim lighting, featuring a long hardwood bar with the same lighting making amazing cocktails past the stage that hosts live entertainment to the dining rooms with the same lighting with booths with clothed tables, baskets of breads and a relish tray. The entire staff is friendly and honored to have you in their dining room. Let's talk about the food, a good sized menu offering some old school appetizers as well as your others, fine cuts of meats, fresh seafoods and aged beef. My entree came with a house salad that I have to say was the best dinner salad I have ever had, I am not sure if it was the fact that the salad was prepared and tossed with the house made blue cheese dressing with large chunks of blue cheese with simple additions but every bite was incredible. If I wasn't in such a classy establishment I would have kicked the plate . (But I didn't) our entrees came after our salads and some had French Onion Soup. My brother in law/wife and his brother/wife and sister/husband along with my wife filled our table. My brother in law and his siblings also dined at the Dal Rae with their parents when they were young and still come to this day. So there was a lot of great food on our table as well as great family. I ordered the Steak Diane a dish rarely found these days, I was so excited to have this again and just as excited to try it at Dal Rae, as it was prepared table side you could instantly smell the aromas of Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, butter and other ingredients then the brandy with a flash of fire creating the fragrant decadent sauce only to be found in Steak Diane. It was Molto Bene in every bite e tutti delizioso! All our dishes were simply incredible, great flavors and served with such class and old school charm. We also had the pleasure of the owner coming to our table and sharing some history of the restaurant and his family commitments to serving the community, people from Los Alamitos Race Track, the jockeys, the owners, the fans and continuing to do so. We all were so full we passed on the dessert menu but if I could fit it into my leg I would have gone with the Bananas Foster.....so I guess I need to come back for more. And Dal Rae I will be back....thank you for everything and an amazing dining experience. Well done Dal Rae, Well done Bon appetitto

WOOOOHOOOOO a wonderful experience!…read more Alright firstly is the food great, yes! It's a fast-food drive-in burger joint okay so let's talk about it. When I walked last night 15 minutes before close, no one was trying to rush me out and still asked if I wanted to eat there. This was delightful because usually people are completely poops about it. I wish I knew the young man's name who was the cashier he was so kind, outgoing, and just overall super bubbly and friendly. My had a small baby and I went in first to order and then went outside to trade with my husband so he could use the restroom as we waited for our to-go order. Without me sharing any thoughts with my husband the first thing he said when he got back is how supremely friendly the young man was and how he swears his attitude was contagious because he came out with a smile on his face. The food itself as mentioned was great. We took advantage on the specials for the double cheeseburger and the chicken sandwich. I know people will debate it, but I enjoyed the well seasoned and tasty breaded sandwich much more than In-n-out. The chicken sandwich tasted so high-quaity in comparasion to most fast food sandwiches I've ever had and priced so affordably. The entire resturant and the restroom were impicaly clean, the defintion of "sparkling clean". This location really has it together and the chose the right person to be in the front dealing with their customers. Truly a wonderful experience!
