Taking mum to try out new brunch place for her tastebuds. Longer drive to get here, but looks like she did enjoyed her meal and the waitress was great! She was attentive to our orders! Love the oldies style 60-70s feel and the music was amazing with the good old days feeling!

Super fast service, basic American food choices and an all time classic shake is enough to want to take a break from window shopping and the like. Ruby's Diner is a staple in most outlets and because of its location, the noise level would depend on the day of the week and/or time of the day. I happen to dine past lunch on a Monday, so everything was quiet. Food was good as always with no fancy grade of beef or chicken. It's hearty comfort food and the best kind when you need energy for more shopping!

I came into Ruby's Diner after a day of shopping at the Citadel Outlets. I ordered the chili and my boyfriend got the patty melt with fries. I loved the chili was a 10/10 and the patty was also good. I would recommend for a nice bite with good service, especially in the heat since there's AC.

We came here with a large group of friends and everyone enjoyed the food. I had the apple, walnut and blue cheese salad and it was very good and fresh. It came standard with the balsamic vinaigrette but we asked for ranch on the side, which was so good! The ranch was homemade and fresh, very tasty. Also tried some of the French fries, sweet potato fries, and the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese had some burnt cheese on it and it was delicious. The fries were also pretty good, but a little more on the bland side. The service was a little slow and we felt that the waiter had a little too many folks he was helping. But we did appreciate that he could do each order individually in terms of payment so that was nice.

I come here a few times a year when I visit the Citadel to get some shopping done during the seasonal sales. The restaurant is always busy but I have never had to wait to get seated. The staff is very efficient and clears tables and cleans them immediately after the guest leaves. I always get the mushroom Swiss burger and upgrade to sweet potato fries. The food comes out super fast and is always fresh and tasty. The price has gone up in the past few years to keep up with inflation but I feel that it's still a pretty good deal. Especially with unlimited fries! Parking is plentiful in the Citadel. Restrooms are surprisingly clean. Staff is friendly. No wonder I eat here every time I go shopping at the Citadel!

Had heard a lot about this place, never been around where one was serving. Until I was in City of Commerce. I was blown away with their service. Everyone was pleasant to talk to, servers came around often to make sure you had everything for your meal. The food came out in record time. By the time we finished ordering our milkshake was already at our table in under 5mins it felt. Where it does lack... is in cleanliness. I might've come after lunch rush so I understand. But the service & food was amazing.

It was my first time at Ruby's Diner, and I went there with my sister three weeks ago. I ordered the bacon burger, and it was delicious. The Oreo milkshake was also amazing smooth, creamy, and definitely a must-have with your meal. I would gladly come back again!

There's nothing too special about this place except that it's the only dine-in table service restaurant at the Citadel. It's a typical 50s diner. 50s decor and red and white booths. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. The Albacore Melt hit the spot, but it wasn't special. Service was fine. It will get the job done if you want burgers and shakes at a sit-down place. Otherwise, you may be better off at the outlet food court.

Getting together with family for a birthday celebration. What better place to meet for fun is the outlet stores. Yes this location is inside the citadel outlet store. Ruby's has a private parking lot just for Ruby's customers which is very easy for parking. They have a one hour parking limit but they will make exemptions for large parties. The staff is friendly and willing to assist. They took great care of our large party. The food was tasty, hot and delicious. Once again great place to meet family. Shop later if you want but move your car

I stopped by Ruby's Diner after shopping at the Citadel Outlets. I ordered the seafood combo with the fried fish and shrimp. The food was very good, the fish and shrimp were crispy and seasoned well . Note the combo does not come with a drink however the large portions make up for it. The service was good and the staff stopped by my table a few times to ensure I had everything I needed. I would recommend to anyone shopping nearby that wants a quick and tasty bite before heading home.

First time at Ruby's Diner and we just ordered Frings (combination of Fries and Onion rings ($9.49), a kids Vanilla Malt ($5.99) a coffee shake ($7.99) and a Mint Chip Shake ($7.99). We really enjoyed everything. The onion rings were nice and crisp and the fries were average shoe string fries. This is a classic diner with an old Nash Car right behind the Host/Hostess stand. Our server was Brianna and she was great. They have a decent sized menu with salads, burgers, sandwiches and a few other items to choose. We just needed a mid afternoon snack/treat.

I have never been to the citadel but we had an appointment near by. We were seated right away! Jason was our server and he was attentive and super nice!! Our food came out very quickly and my salad was so fresh and tasty with plenty of Ranch!!

Ricky absolutely made our visit to Ruby's Diner at the Citadel Outlets a delight--he was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely kind, especially when I accidentally spilled my water and he handled it with total grace, quickly getting us settled at a new table without making me feel awkward at all. The whole diner looked adorable with its festive Christmas decorations, which added a cozy, happy vibe to our meal. We ordered the corned beef hash and the "Really" Big Breakfast; both were tasty and satisfying, though I do wish they offered hash browns on the side to round things out. Overall, great service, cheerful atmosphere, and a solid breakfast spot!

I got lucky and grabbed a parking spot right up front as someone was leaving. Funny enough, during just one visit I ran into two people I knew. One friend told me she's been bringing her kids here since they were little, and another said he's been coming here forever. The place is small and cozy -- only a couple of four-top tables, a few two-seaters, and an old-school counter bar setup. I happened to get one of the larger tables at the right time. The breakfast portions were hearty and really good, and my little one loved the pancakes. I noticed a lot of regulars ordering lunch too, so I'd definitely come back to try that next. The menu is your traditional American diner style bacon cheeseburgers, pastrami, tuna melts, breakfast plates, and all the classics. The gentlemen taking care of me and my little one was really nice. So many of these places have been handed down to the owners' kids. I can't help but think about how hard the original owners worked to build a loyal customer base and the love they poured into their businesses, only to watch some of the next generation chip away at that reputation with poor service and a careless attitude. Then another thought crossed my mind. Maybe, in some cases, the service was never that great to begin with. Maybe the food was just good enough that customers kept coming back anyway. After all, if the food is good enough, people are willing to overlook a lot. Unfortunately, that's exactly how I felt during this visit to Burger Basket Cafe. The food keeps bringing me back, but every visit seems to remind me that good food can only make up for so much. Friendly, attentive service matters too, and it's disappointing to see a neighborhood institution coast on its reputation instead of making customers feel appreciated.

Some items were close to inedible: as an example, in an order of chicken parmesan, the chicken was very thin, tough, and stringy, and the coating was overcooked. Interestingly, it was served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and carrots instead of pasta. In a final negative note, a 3% "Restaurant Management Fee" was added to the bill. Music was very loud and many people were dancing in a small dancing area. The noise level is so loud that my Apple Watch gave me a warning that exposure to this level of noise will cause hearing loss. There was a total of eleven of us. We ordered some appetizers (a combo platter with various fried stuff, and stuffed mushrooms), prime ribs, New York steak with shrimp scampi, Italian surf and turf, and many other entrees. Each entree comes with choice of soup or salad plus homemade pasta (which is a small side of spaghetti with sauce). Bread is served at the beginning. The bread is excellent. The side of spaghetti is very good. The sauce is slightly spicy which I liked. But someone at my table didn't care for it being spicy. I had the Italian surf and turf which includes 8-oz Filet mignon and 6-Oz lobster tail and lobster ravioli. The Filet mignon was okay (average). The lobster tail was over cooked. The best thing on my plate was the lobster ravioli. Needless to say, I was disappointed. For the prices they charge, I expected to have a delicious well prepared meal. Parking for this place is terrible. The parking lot is very small. Street parking is very limited. I would not be coming back. First of all, food was just average but prices are high. Secondly, It was so noisy that it made my dining experience not enjoyable. Last but not least, parking is a problem.
