The place is too small for the amount of people they serve. We ordered the knots, a calzone, and a pizza. They brought the pizza before anything else and half of it was the wrong order. They brought the knots and they were cold and gooey. The calzone finally came after a while but was good. They did make up for the wrong pizza by bringing an entire large pizza at no extra charge. The kitchen staff works hard but no personality or friendliness. There are several other N.Y. Style pizza places in town that are better and cheaper. Worst dining experience I have ever encountered in my entire life.. Granted I'm only 25 but I work in food service and have been a kitchen manager before.. The way this staff carry themselves is beyond outragous! And the "Food" they have taste like microwave. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with zero pepperoni on it (a cheese pizza). If I had wanted a Cheese pizza I would have ordered one. Then I took a bite of my pizza and only tore the crust off and went to the counter and asked them, "what's wrong with this pizza!?" Holding my check so she could see a Pepperoni pizza was paid for and she said "Idk". Then was rude to me as was the entire staff because I wasn't satisified with what I paid for. They offered me another piece but it honestly was the worst dining experience I have ever encounteted in my entire life so why would I want to eat there anymore. It wasn't until my Pregnant GF who had actually paid came waddling up to the counter to demand her money back since they were being rude and standoffish to me. After a few choice words from their staff they expressed they never wanted us to come back.... for a mistake they made! So after FINALLY getting the 6.66 back (because our meal wasn't even worth that) we left. We will never be back. This place was the joke of our Manitou trip. Went back in October during the non busy season. Decided to get some pizza at around 8 pm on a Saturday night. Walked in to two employees, one of which to one look at us and said to the other one, "you get this, I need to go smoke". That's fine, whatever. The other employee, a blonde teenager, just kind of stared at us while we looked at the menu. He told us that, despite having a full menu, there were only 3 things left for us to choose from that night. There were 3 half-pizzas on display with a sign that said that they had been made at 3:30 that afternoon and didn't look appetizing, but we were hungry. We approached the counter to order and the employee dude walked to the back. He then came back up with a stack of receipts and just sorted through them and pretended like we weren't there. We talked amongst ourselves for about 5 minutes, waiting for this employee that we were standing 2 feet in front of. After about 5 minutes, he finally looked at us and said, "you know, I've been waiting for you guys to order" in a really rude tone. For real? It's not like we weren't trying to order, he just started working on something else and ignoring us when we tried. Anyway, we each got 2 slices and a drink and the order came to $35 for 3 people. We waited about 20 minutes for the slices to be "made" while the dude kept messing with the stores Alexa trying to get it to play his shitty music. When he finally plopped the paper plates with our slices on our table, it was pretty evident that the 4-5 hour old slices were just reheated. They weren't awful, but definitely not worth $4 a slice. While we were eating, the other employee, a girl, came back and started sweeping and put up all the chairs around us. The sign on the door said that they were open for another 2 hours. The funny thing is, me and my friends all work at a pizza place back home. We know how to run a good restaurant and this ain't it. Ordered the 4 cheese pizza and garlic knots. The knots weren't as good as I was expecting. Not sure what was missing but very doughy. Next time, I would probably get two slices of pizza instead. Super thin crust but a perfect crunch to it. 4 cheese had giant scoops of ricotta on top. I could have eaten another 4 slices. Kudos for making the price fit the theme. =) pizza was hot both temperature and spice.my folks for a full pikes peak pizza. I definitely suggest getting a full pizza rather than by the slice. Super good pizza! the last that took our order wasn't as nice as the lady that brought our food, but our overall experience was really good. The slices are really big and they taste amazing. The place is a little off of the main street, towards the outskirts of the down town section. It was cold out, snow everywhere, and I was all too happy to duck in to the shop and see what this little pizza shop had to offer. The Hellfire pizza seemed good, though I had no idea what was in the sauce. When we ordered it, one of the cooks asked us if we'd had that pizza before, to which we replied no. After hearing our response, and in a rather ominous way, he grinned and told us we'd love it. Being from Texas, I thought maybe I'd ordered something spicier than I'd intended to, and prepared to embrace some habanero. Thankfully, people in Colorado don't seem to really know what spicy is. The pizza came out, the pizza was delicious, and within what might have been minutes, the pizza was consumed. When I'm next in Manitou Springs, I'll certainly stop for a slice or two again. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped in for an afternoon snack after a hike down Pike's Peak. It's a small place but has a good neighborhood pizza joint kind of feel to it. Laid back staff and easy to understand menu with specials. Their current specials were 2 slices and a drink for $9.99 and a slice, 3 garlic/hellfire knots, and a drink for $6.66. Individual slices were around $4 per piece. I got a hellfire slice and she got a cheese slice. It's New York style with a very thin and crispy crust. Slices are probably 7-8 inches wide at the head and a foot long. We were both really happy about the taste. The hellfire could have been a little spicier for my liking, but the sausage on it was awesome and it was overall good. One downside is that they don't have alcohol. Really love beer with pizza. The soda machine also didn't have soda water when we were there and there didn't seem to be an indication it was going to be replaced. The tables all have Parmesan, red pepper, and Italian seasoning shakers. Overall I'd recommend it as a stop in for a quick snack while shopping. Isn't mind blowing but it's delicious and moderately priced. read more

There was nothing we liked about this place. It's tiny and hot. Seriously, there are probably only seven tables in the place, and they're really close together. Pizza is just thin crust with a TINY bit of sauce scraped across the dough, and a TINY bit of cheese. The toppings are added later and not cooked on the pie. It's really toast with semi-cooked toppings. I literally couldn't taste sauce or cheese. I couldn't even see any cheese. No cheese. What kind of pizza is that? The garlic knots were okay, but a bit too hard and crunchy for my liking. The menu is limited. No one greeted us when we came in. It's not apparent if you are to order at the kitchen or if a server will wait on you. We waited quite a while before realizing we needed to get up to order. There's no counter though, just like a glass display case that you yell to the workers over. So sad that of a few meals we will have in Manitou Springs, we wasted one on this place. If they put at least three times the amount of sauce and cheese on the pizza, created a sign with the menu that said "order here," and added an air conditioner, this could maybe get three stars. We had to look up the menu on the website while we were sitting in the restaurant, because there was no menu either on the wall or on the tables. read more

Let me start off by saying the pizza was great! I love New York style pizzas! My friend and I shared the gluten free 4 cheese white pizza because she has a gluten allergy, and the gluten free crust was amazing! It tastes like real pizza crust!!! I got an order of the cinnamon knots (I can eat gluten) and two of them were delicious, but one was really burnt. I'm impressed with the food, but the staff was sadly really rude. I don't like to complain about service, but they seemed inconvenienced by us when we came in. One of my friends ordered knots, and only received 2/3 and when she asked for the third one, the guy rolled his eyes and then brought out the wrong kind. I was perturbed that it took them 25 minutes to make a calzone. I got 2 slices of the macaroni & cheese pizza, which was tasty, but was surprised at how long it took them to bake the calzone. There was nobody ahead of me but I saw 2 take out pizzas (by that I mean I saw someone pick one up and another one that was being delivered). I was disappointed to find that there was a semi decent amount of toppings in it but there was more than 30% of just bread. Hell's Kitchen rocks! This is the only place to get outstanding, real pizza and calzones. We split an "incline" tonight and it was out of this world. Greek salad was awesome too, with a Mexican Coke... Happy! I can also recommend the Pikes Peak, in the largest possible size. This place is not going to let you leave hungry. They have a pizza that has a topping of Mac and cheese and it is actually very good too. Huge pizzas are going to blow your mind. The people who work there are very fun. But the only reason why I only gave it 4 stars it's because of the sauce I can't handle the sauce.
