All these years later, this is still the best Thai restaurant I've been to in CA. I moved away from Lincoln, but still eat here every chance I get.

I found this place on a whim and decided to take hubby here for a lunch date because I was craving Thai food. I looked at their menu. They had a good selection and they had great reviews here. We walked in during lunch hours, we seated right away, We got water and menus. The ambiance was really nice and well put together and very super peaceful music in the background. We got the wonton soup, shrimp, and vegetable tempura and chicken pad see ew. Everything came out in a timely manner and everything was hot and delicious portions were great. Everything was very hardy. The service were very attentive water glasses were always full and dirty dishes was always cleared and they were always attentive to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back here again to try other things off the menu because it looks so delicious.

Omg this place is amazing !! If I could give it 10 stars I would ! This is a small family owned Thai restaurant in lincoln CA. It's a husband and wife that owned restaurant they take an hour break everyday from 3-4 pm right before the dinner rush . You could tell they take pride in their food and their establishment. Walking in everything is very clean and organized. They have excellent service . They are very friendly and attentive. For food, I love everything on the menu. If you come you have to try the pineapple rice It's delicious. Everything just taste so fresh. I have a shellfish allergy and they always help me with my order so that I do not get an allergic reaction. I barely go to any place that serves oyster sauce, but I will definitely come here because they take care of me. They make sure that there is no shellfish on my plate and I really appreciate that. Overall, I highly recommend this Thai restaurant. It's very delicious. You will get top-notch service. You will not regret coming here. I can't wait to go back.

Hurray for $10.95 Weekday Lunch Specials from 11 AM to 3 PM! Salad, entree, white rice, and dessert. Not the largest quantity of food, but I think it is a health-conscious portion. I was told that the To Go menu prices would be going up soon. Salad was lettuce and shredded carrot with a sweet peanut-based dressing. Green Curry Beef was my entree. It had a good amount of beef and a variety of vegetables: green beans, eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. I liked the plating. For $1, you can upgrade to brown rice, which appears to be a multigrain mix in another reviewer's photo. Shrimp costs an extra $2. Dessert was a small scoop of colorful Thai Tapioca, which is green tapioca, coconut milk, and corn. I like getting free Asian desserts with a meal. Thai Tapioca is available on the dessert menu on weekdays primarily. These are dishes I'd be interested in trying in the future: - Red Curry - Boat Noodle Soup - Silver Glass Noodle Soup - Silver Noodle Salad - Pad Eggplant (Pad Ma Keur) - Thai Basil (Pad Kra Pao) - Sweet and Sour (Pad Priew Warn) - Pad Woon Sen (stir-fried silver noodles, eggs, veggies, and protein choice) Warm and inviting restaurant with beautiful gold and red paintings of Thai dancers. My boyfriend and I usually go to Orchid Thai over on Twelve Bridges but we decided we wanted to try a new place. To be honest, I like this place even more. The servers were great and friendly. Food came really fast too. We had the pot stickers, chicken satay, beef and chicken pad Thai, and Thai fried rice with chicken. Everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big. We left very full. Personally I wanted to try some of their desserts but we were both so full. We will have to try them next time. The ambiance was nice and very relaxed. Perfect setting for a date, or a nice dinner with the family/friends. I cannot wait to come back.

It is located in the Raley's shopping plaza. We came here for lunch and the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was pretty fast. We started with the chicken larb salad. It was refreshing, but I'm used to it usually being spicy. We also ordered the pad woon sen (noodles) for the kids. I didn't try it, but it had more vegetables than noodles in it. Lastly, we had the basil fried rice with pork. It was good overall, but could've used more flavor. We left full.

The ever so delightful eggplant stir fry with jumbo shrimp in "Grandmother's sauce". AMAZING!

Drunken noodles with beef was savory and sweet and love those thick rice noodles. Also Paht Thai is really good here-not too dry like the other local Thai places but here it's got that orange chili oil ooze and that sweet and sour/spicy flavor that's just right. read more

So I love Thai food and Ive definitely tried a few places in the area in search of something even better and Rum Thai Bistro has to be my favorite so far. There was one lady that walked out and greeted me with a huge smile across her face, like she loved to be there and it was so refreshing to see. She told me to sit wherever I'd like, gave me a menu and didn't rush me at all, as I was ordering to go. The whole ambiance of the restaurant was amazing, there was a lot of people there and it seemed like they had a lot of regulars already there too. The customer service was just amazing and you could feel the liveliness in the restaurant from staff and customers. I normally get Pad Thai or Pad See Ew from Thai restaurants, but I wanted to try something kinda new so I ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken, no bell peppers and added broccoli. I also came during lunch time so my meal was cheaper than the dinner time specials, and for the price and what I got it was perfect. My spice level I feel could have been spicer considering I ordered it at 3 and 4 is the hottest, but the flavor of the overall dish was great. I also ordered a side dish of their cucumber salad, which I don't think I've ever had before, but it was soo good. The prices are fair for any item off the menu and the quantity you get, the service is amazing and the one dish I tried was delicious. I definitely will be back to try more!!! read more

They were understaffed. Pot stickers were flavorless, pretty sure they are pre frozen store bought. They DO NOT take American Express, just in case you need to know. They also charged me $1.50 for sweet n sour sauce and they don't tell you when you order it. Fried rice was good though! read more

I used to go to Royal Siam in Roseville but lately I've been disappointed in their rice noodles being clumped together. I was in this shopping center and decided to come here for lunch with my husband. We were very pleased with the: - fast service - lunch salad with peanut sauce - our noodles were not stuck together and the flavor was great - surprise lunch pudding desert at the end. Like so many places these days, you pay more for less. Our typical order consists of chicken pad Thai and Thai cashews with chicken. It's a treasure hunt finding the very few pieces of chicken buried in the noodles. Similar experience with the Thai cashew dish. It is primarily vegetables with very few cashews or chicken. It's very disappointing for the price. read more

We were sat immediately and met with friendly service. Our server made great recommendations and the food came out within minutes. Our group hasn't had Thai food on many occasions so we appreciated the recommendations. A great find in a little strip mall in Lincoln. Some of the best Thai food I've had in the US! Pad thai was very tasty as was the pineapple fried rice. Garlicky eggplant was very flavorful as was the beef with broccoli. Very good yellow curry chicken. Definitely worth going to if you are in the area! read more

Here's how my experience was at Rum Thai. I came for a late lunch. There was only one other diner. It was really warm in here. I almost walked out because it was, but the A/C kicked on. They must have turned it on for me and the other diner because he had just walked in also. I ordered chicken pad Thai. I asked him to make it spicy which he did. Before my entree came, he brought over a small salad with peanut dressing. That was quite good. My pad Thai was decent. The portion size is considerably smaller than what I get at the other Thai place in town. After I was done with my meal, my server brought over this warm tapioca pudding with bits of corn. It was a nice touch to end a quick lunch. Overall, the food is better than the last Thai place that occupied this space. For now, I'm giving them three and a half stars. Although the food was good, didn't feel as welcome, felt really awkward . I'm hoping to come back when it's a bit busier and I can have a more hospitable experience. read more

The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!

I usually want drunken noodles at a Thai restaurant and of course we did order here as well. I wish they were a little spicier and will order better next time when it comes to spice level. You order at the counter and the food is delivered freshly prepared. First time for me and Thai iced tea and it was delicious as well! I noticed they also have outdoor tables in the shade when it is a little cooler. Will return for sure!

Located in the Rocklin West shopping area and across Applebee's. There's plenty of free parking. We each ordered Pad See Eiw, his was with fried tofu and me, being a creature of habit, I ordered mine with chicken. For dessert we shared the Mango w/ Sticky Rice. Everything was tasty and delicious. Love the wide, flat noodles with the bits of Chinese broccoli, egg (for richness and flavor) and chicken all stir-fried in the savory soy sauce blend. The egg is not usually visible, it is typically added to the dish during stir-frying. The interior is clean and spacious with plenty of table seating that are widely spaced to allow comfort for the guests. Lots of windows for natural lighting. The walls are decorated with Thai pictures and art. A flat screen is perched behind the bar showing travel videos of Thailand. House of Thai RIce & Noodle is one of my favorite spots. I don't live as close as some other Thai…read morespots, but whenever I'm in the area I try to make a point to stop. Sometimes this spells out trouble because I want to order the whole menu instead of a sensible amount of food. On my latest visit I ordered takeout and got the Tom Kha Soup with tofu ($13.50), Green Curry with tofu ($13.50), Kao Soy ($13.50), House Chow Fun with tofu ($13.50), Thai Tea ($4.50), and Thai Iced Coffee ($4.50). It was a lot of food, but I've learned House of Thai Rice & Noodle is best enjoyed family style where you get to enjoy a few things. The pricing is very reasonable for the portions and the flavor on the dishes is so good! I don't know what they do with their Chow Fun, but the noodles were so flavorful, soft and fluffy and didn't need any extra sauce. The Tom Kha soup is a comfort food for me and this is always a great option. I forgot to order rice with my curry, but eating it like a soup is equally satisfying. The Kao Soy was flavorful and the noodles were great with the broth and toppings. I've dined in and gotten take out and both are great experiences. The team here is so friendly and welcoming. When I order takeout, I typically order at the restaurant and wait and they always have me sit at a table and offer water or another drink while I wait. I do love dining in because the dishes are at their freshest and it makes for better photos. The dining are has plenty of seats and it comfortable. The plaza also has plenty of parking, but the spots nearest to the restaurant tend to fill up. If you're thinking about stopping here, try it, you won't be disappointed!

Chicken/beef/pork/tofu all used to be options that didn't require an additional charge. Having to pay an additional $1-$1.50 for tofu to replace chicken sounds crazy to me. $3 more for beef or pork. And this is on top of the increased base price! Seafood has always been extra. What used to be a $20 lunch order for me would now be $27.50... a 37.5% increase before tax and tip. Ouch.

But let's keep in mind that for many years customers paid less at Auburn Thai than at any restaurant in the area. Complain about the price increase or appreciate the low price they had for many years. It's a choice. We will continue to enjoy the wonderful food.

I started with the chicken sandwich and it was fantastic: a fried chicken breast nestled between brioche buns with pickles and just the right amount of sauce. Very good if that's your thing (and it's definitely mine). Dipped it in the habanero ranch... aces. The next day I heated up the parmigiana "burrito" following the reheating instructions printed on the bag (which I loved, by the way). One suggestion if you're doing the same: cut it in half first. Like Hot Pockets back in the day, cutting it would help with heat distribution, otherwise it heats unevenly. Lots of meat in this dish, and the breading on the outside was totally delicious. The salad was good too, although I might try a different side next time.

Whenever I'm near either location I make a point to stop by to enjoy a meal or pick up take out to enjoy at home. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

The broth here is rich, bold, and packed with flavor...some might find it intense, but for me it's a total chef's kiss. You can choose thick or thin noodles, and I always go for the thick ones because I love that extra bounce. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen because garlic is one of my love languages. My husband went for the Spicy Tonkotsu and was sweating bullets by the end of the meal, but he still cleaned his bowl! The chashu pork was a little dry on this visit, but the broth, noodles, and all the toppings still made for a delicious and satisfying meal. Bonus: They're currently offering FREE gyoza with every ramen order! If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful bowl of ramen, check them out. Just don't question my decision to eat hot soup during a heat wave.

Clean tables though May had to point out to the server to wipe off her seat and the server was very accommodating.. I ordered the reserve prime rib dinner with baked potato and veges. She ordered the blackened grilled Atlantic salmon with rice pilaf and veges. We shared a small piece of each other's order. The meals were delicious!! The blackened salmon was very tasty and the prime rib was very tender and juicy, plus dipped in au jus sauce. The server was very attentive and courteous checking in often on our requests. Good experience overall.

My wife and I have gone to this place several times and we have never been disappointed. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the service is good. The food is excellent and a favorite of mine is the drunken noodle with shrimp. Beware that if you don't want spicy food, you must tell them not spicy because the spice level is a little high ... but the food is oh so good so no complaints from me. Good food and conveniently located in Lincoln. They do take out too. Food is consistently good with strong flavors. Portions are modest but not bad. Staff is friendly and polite.
