Stopped by RumFish for an extended time before my flight. Good stool seats with power outlets available. Full service with menu and multiple options for starters and entrees. They do have fresh brewed Ice Tea which wasn't listed on the menu. Tampa has virtually no lounges available, so a restaurant was the next best thing. A sign at the front of RumFish tells you to seat yourself, and then a server will come by with menus. All of the seating has an outlet nearby and there are a few TVs around, so it's a nice spot to spend a long layover. I ended up with the crab bisque, tuna poke, and sweet tea. Highly recommend the crab bisque - it's flavorful with a little spice, and has a nice bit of actual crab in it. The tuna poke was okay. It's not a bowl (so no rice or salad) and I wasn't a big fan of the crackers it came with, but the tuna itself wasn't bad and it's surprisingly filling. I also liked the sweet tea, which is made in-house. Overall and despite the typical airport overpricing, it's not a bad place to get a bite to eat or drink. read more

Wowww finally airport seafood that didn't disappoint. I had the blackened grouper fish sandwich. It was moist and delicious. It came with the sweet potato fries. Which was delicious as well. Also you have to try their peanut butter coleslaw. Best I've ever had! I would stop here again when returning from Tampa to my home. Our waitress was nice as well. Also enjoyed my buffalo wings. I eat here whenever I'm in the southwest side of the terminals. They have average bar type foods. I was pretty impressed with the blue crab bisque I had today. It's hard to find a good bisque so that was nice. I also had a Cesar salad which was nice. The service was fantastic. As a former Tampa resident who finds herself at its airport from time to time, and as of late, more often than that, I finally gave this airport stop a review. If you can have Mimi as your server, you'll hit the jackpot! Why review an airport restaurant? Because it's top notch! The food is fresh and tasty and the service is warm and friendly. Waiting at the Tampa airport during a delay or because you just had to get there early, is made better by having a meal and a drink here. I've sampled lots of things from the menu but most recently I had a simple green salad with the mahi add on, and a white cosmo. Both fantastic. It's not too noisy here, and there is a lovely and peaceful aquarium to look at to calm any nerves you may have. Prices are typical airport high, but it's worth it. The food was awful! The jerk mahi tacos were served with skimpy fish bites inside of an oversized tortilla shell and drowned in sour cream and cold shredded cheese. There was no Jamaican jerk taste anywhere. Plus, the sweet potato fries were hard, unchewable, and unfresh. They tasted of frostbite, like they've been stocked in a freezer for an extended period of time, so the flavor just wasn't there. read more

We like the grill on St. Pete beach and the airport version in the B terminal is pretty good. Carolina gave us great service and the food wasn't overly priced. The grouper sandwiches were big and tasty as was the angus burger. The sides of sweet potato fries and the slaw were good too! read more

Service was terrible! Dirty tables that took 15 minutes to clear. Sat at one table trying to get it cleaned, and 3 different people said "that's not my section." Moved to another section and waited another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us (it's a seat yourself restaurant). Finally was able to order drinks, another 15 minutes before we received them and a glass of water. They did not appear that busy. Food was subpar. Overcooked sweet potato fries. Mahi mahi tacos were very forgettable. If you are at TPA, concourse C, do not eat here! There has to be better food choices. One and done! read more

Not sure this is acceptable at other locations, but the glass I was served water in is disgusting. As we sat at the bar whole waiting for our Flight, our bartender seemed less than attentive. No they were not busy. I got the smoked fish spread. The crackers that came with it were stale. I ask for more, but they were as equally stale. We have been to the Rumfish in St Pete. Their service was impeccable. No problems with food either. Not sure if this is a franchise at the airport or not, but at least for the prices, they can do better. We won't be stopping here anymore when at the airport. Being friendly is not a day killer on your shift. read more

Oh boy, what a disappointment $20 for grouper jerk seasoning. I chose this because it's rare to see on a menu. It was so salty I couldn't finish it. It was as if it was soaked in its marinade. I even tried to scrape the seasoning off it. But it didn't help. Someone else in my group ordered the same but blackened and also said it was salty as well. The sweet potato fries were nice though. When it came for our checks he added other peoples food to it checks after he gave us our checks and we gave him our cards. We tried to say something to him and he told us it's the correct receipt and go away. The manager came out and told us to us to just go away. Horrible horrible horrible services Slow and expensive. Atmosphere - Very Good. OK, it's an airport bar/restaurant. Having said this, it is clean and comfortable. The tables are spaced apart a bit, which I like. Service - Excellent. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Food - Very Good. We had a morning flight and wanted breakfast. The menu is limited to around 8 or so items. I ordered the 2 eggs scrambled with home fries, toast and sausage patties. The food was served hot and tasted pretty good. The home fries were especially good. The sausage patties (3 of them) had a nice spicy flavor. Overall Value - Very Good. Haven't flown out of TPA for awhile, so couldn't remember what places were here for breakfast. Noticed RumFish and couldn't be happier. First, our server couldn't have been better. Brought water to us while we perused the menu, which is actually very small, but enough choices to keep me happy. My decaf coffee was hot and good. I settled on the quesadillas which sounded yummy. Our food came quickly and was served hot. The quesadilla was huge and served with sour cream and salsa. They were nice and crunchy on the outside and had scrambled eggs, cheese, onions and peppers inside. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Service remained perfect the entire time.
