This is my favorite coffee shop in town!! I've only ever tried the coffee, but it is to die for! it tastes like very good quality, even better than Starbucks! It's a very cute little place with a homie vibe. The only thing wrong with the place is that the building its self is small, so sometimes there isn't enough seating for when I want to come and hang out. read more

Went in yesterday and there was a young couple spread out on the couch intertwined, kissing, sleeping, rubbing etc. very uncomfortable. I love everything about this place but wish the owner would have asked the couple to get a room so that the other paying patrons could enjoy their coffee. read more

Love this place. I am a Starbucks convert because of them. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, enjoyable. The barista, Dan, is very polite and friendly. Don't expect a long line or having someone yell out your name when your order is ready, don't expect the barista to be cranking out as many drinks as possible. I love this place, the owner is beyond friendly and knows exactly what customer service is. The vibe inside the coffee shop is nice and very respectful...if you are looking. For something that's the opposite of Starbucks and don't want the corporate feel to your coffee I suggest you come here. We stopped at Danbury on our way home from Cambridge, MA (Business trip). We wanted something different for a late breakfast and decided to try Rumors. Absolutely loved the place. It was during the week and late morning, so it wasn't crowded. Great ambiance and so friendly. We really pigged out because everything looked so good - had crepes (turkey/arugula/tomatoes), a yogurt dish of granola and fresh berries, coffee, banana bread, and tea. That doesn't count the "to go" items for the rest our our trip back to DC. Wow. Thanks!!!! read more

My mom and I visited this coffee shop for the first time this morning. She ordered a coffee, I ordered an americano (which was deliciously smooth). We also ordered crepes which were very tasty. The man working was super friendly and had a great attitude, he was a pleasure to interact with. The crepes did take awhile to make as the cafe got kind of busy and the gentleman working was the only employee there so he had to try and balance making drinks, taking orders, and making our crepes. When we were exiting the cafe after finishing our drinks and crepes, he gave us a complimentary slice of banana bread for the wait which was both a generous and tasty gesture. Overall, our experience was very refreshing and I strongly urge you to support this local, small business! read more

Excellent espresso drinks; good attitude of servers and good choices of pastries. I like this place. They are adding gelatos as well. When we first moved to Danbury, me and my husband were looking for a nice place with great coffee. We passed Rumors couple of times when finally we stopped to see the place. We loved it from the moment we entered. Not only its cozy but they offer great selection of coffee and bake goodies. And you can not get better espresso in the area! A very comfy and cozy place to stop for a cup of coffee. There's a good amount of seating for such a small location, and all of the chairs and decorations have character. A truly wonderful atmosphere for quiet contemplation, a cozy get together, or just grabbing a quick cup of coffee. I will certainly be back when I need somewhere to escape and read a book, and hope to make it a bit of a routine. I feel very fortunate to live nearby this warm and cozy coffee house. read more

I was so excited to finally try this local coffee spot which is right down the road from where I live. I stopped in with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and waited 15 minutes, only to end up leaving empty handed. There was a line in front of us who all put in their orders, but the young woman who was working at the counter stopped taking orders as she got to us, and told us she would be right with us. We waited, standing at the counter for 15 minutes while she continued to make other customers' drinks, and eventually she told us it was the last drink she had to make and then she would be with us. While we were getting impatient, we decided to wait since we had already waited so long. When we saw her begin to make yet another drink, we decided to leave. Meanwhile, if she had taken our order, we would have been able to sit and enjoy chatting while waiting for our coffee and crepes AND they would've had our order already! Very disappointed. read more

Almost missed it driving on Mill Plain Rd, fortunately I spotted it and we pulled in. The place is very European and they just got their gelato case. Some of the items in the case looked a little dry, but they just started and deserve your patronage. Little mom and pops are slipping away, so try to support them. read more
