Absolutely our go to place for a gorgeous dinner before a show at the Pantages. Patio is gorgeously full of greenery - equipped with fans and heat lamps - depending on the outside temperature, of course. Food and service was spot on. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and we had plenty of extra time to enjoy a couple of desserts before our show.

Loved that Running Goose has maintained their integrity of serving great tasting food and beers. I highly recommend and suggest trying a variety of items in the menu

I made a reservation for an hour before they close and we walked over and were seated relatively quickly. We asked for a seat with a heater nearby but they were full and didn't have one available. We sat and ordered our food and then they informed us a table opened up near a heater! We were quickly switched. The outside seating is cute with lights and a patio cover over the area. It's relatively small though in general so I can imagine on a busy night how packed it could get. We started with calamari, pork belly pincho and tostadas. The calamari was good but small portions. The pork belly pincho was amazing it had some tamarind sauce which had a bbqish flavor and it was soo tender but crispy on the outside. I just wish it came with more but we ended up ordering 2 of them. The other people in our party got their food first and I was waiting for my steak to come out but it came out undercooked like almost raw inside so I politely asked if they could send it back to fix it. As I was waiting for them to bring it back out I tried some of the duck and omg I wish I ordered that instead. The steak was underwhelming but oh god everything else was just immaculate. The servers were all so sweet and attentive. TBH even though my steak was undercooked and underwhelming I'd be back in a heartbeat because that duck and everything else we had was amazing.

Cutest little restaurant - Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner before a show as its only a couple blocks from the Pantages. My very picky eater LOVED the bake brie, the salmon burger, and the horchata creme brulee and my husband loved the hash. Good vegan options - the pesto vindaloo is delicious. Will come back again and again!

My friends and I went here for lunch before seeing Phantom at the Pantages. None of us had been before. We all enjoyed our dishes. I had the special - al pastor sandwich with fries, one friend had the chicken sandwich with side salad, and I think the other had the steak sandwich with side salad. Portions are generous. The fries are well done and very good. We ordered a pitcher of sangria. Service was good. Would go back if in Hollywood. We parked at a private lot nearby.

Stopped by The Running Goose for a quick bite and it was such a good find. From the outside you could easily miss it, but once you walk in and head to the back patio, it's this cute outdoor space full of plants that gives total Italian vibe. We ordered two appetizers, the lamb chops and the calamari, and the portions were perfect. Filling but not too heavy, and honestly went really well with a beer and a glass of Chardonnay. Staff was attentive and really kind the whole time. Parking was available but limited. Definitely a spot I would go back to for dinner or even lunch.

This place was so good. I really loved the burger, the rosemary fries, and they have a great selection of drinks. My waiter was a foodie and he recommended a sour that was so good. There is both an indoor and somewhat outdoor area, so if you want something, a little quieter and high-end or more of a sports bar, they have both. I love the twinkly lights outside too. The service was fantastic. They were all efficient. I was on crutches so they sent me right away in a close spot surrounding area areas were so annoying and loud and nobody ever approached me the way this business did. They do it right.

Family run business. Great food, service and ambiance. Cute outdoor patio that's nicely decorated. Clean. Kind and friendly service. Close proximity to The Pantages Theater. The food is amazing! Pretty presentation and delicious.

A special place. We decided to spend a special occasion here. We were lucky Superbowl was taking place so less people out and about and restaurant was pretty empty. Got seated immediately and food came out in under 10 minutes. Once again staff is good and patient at explaining their menu. Customer service is good. Loved my steak and eggs. My bf loved his beet salad, two toastadas and fried calamari. If this is your first time or you haven't even tried it before you got to try their toastadas. We love this place and like telling people about it.

I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant that transmits you to Europe when you walk into the patio area. 10/10!!!!!! The service was excellent and I felt taken care of in my experience here. THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the gambas, calamari, and bacalao as an appetizer and they were all really good. ESPECIALLY THE GAMBAS!!!! LITERALLY THE BEST IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. So simple but also soooo delicious -- please try it! Overall, if you're in Hollywood, come to Running Goose. It's now my favorite restaurant in LA !

Delicious food. Adorable back patio. Walking distance to Oantages - it was perfect. I would definitely dine here again.

Easy 5 stars. I'm honestly shocked this place exists. The Running Goose is global comfort food done at a level you don't expect walking in. Started with the grilled brie -- wow. No idea what magic was going on there but it was insane. Then the smoked potatoes... that sauce was unreal, like spoon-it-straight addictive. The gambas came out sizzling with garlic, sweet cherry tomatoes, and perfectly cooked shrimp -- and that dipping bread... unreal, soaking up every drop. Then the mains... short rib and duck. Both ridiculous. The short rib was fall-apart tender with a sauce so good I was literally eating it by the spoon. The duck? Same story -- crispy, juicy, balanced, just dialed in. And honestly, once the food starts hitting like that, you already get excited for dessert because you know you're leaving satisfied. We went with the bread pudding and the crème brûlée -- both exactly how you want to end a meal like this. Every single dish hit. No misses. Already planning my next visit to go through the entire menu.

The service is very nice and personable, but we didn't enjoy the food tremendously. Went here before the pantages matinee on Saturday. The baked : roasted Bree was very exciting as it was sizzling as it came to the table, but I really didn't enjoy either of the toast which was cracker consistency or the apricot jam.. the flavors were just not a good mix for me. The brie was totally melted and really there was not much flavor there. I had the wild boar hash and it really just tasted like regular pork. There was nothing spectacular about it although it was well done and the egg was good. My dining companion had the Chilaquiles. She remarked that it was more like a bowl than regular chilaquiles , which would have a lot more chips in it.

Is this place gluten free-celiac friendly!?

Hi there. I found several items that are gluten free. My daughter has issues with gluten but it causes discomfort not a medical issue.…

    Is the is pet friendly?

    Yes, we’re pet friendly.

Do they still have a happy hour?

    Are all the tables outside?

Hi, we also have indoor dining.

Are reservations required or do they take walk-ins? Hoping to go Saturday around 6pm.

Reservations aren't required, but it might be worth making one on a Saturday at that time. A lot of people eat at Running Goose before shows on Saturday night.

Are there any TVs to watch a game? Is there a bar?

    I don't recall seeing a TV or a bar.

    Is there outdoor seating?

    Yes, they have a patio.

I went here a few weeks ago but when I went last week it was closed and they aren't answering their phone. Are they actually open?

    What time is dinner served?

Happy hour is daily 12-6 pm. They start dinner at 6:00 pm, but they're on limited days right now.

Okay for my adventurous eating 11 year old?

    Sure.

    Is this place dog friendly?

    Yes!

What are their hours for weekend brunch?

Until 6 pm, as of 11/13/17

When is Happy Hour? I saw it mentioned in a few reviews but do not see hours listed.

As of January 2018, happy hour ends at 6p.

It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.

When I arrived, there were only about 15-20 people ahead of me in line. As the afternoon progressed, the line stretched down the street, yet no staff member came outside to communicate capacity limits, seating availability, or where the line should reasonably end. Even more concerning, patrons were not admitted until after the match had already started. The situation quickly became chaotic. People who had waited for hours were understandably frustrated, and many were openly voicing their concerns. Groups were admitted one at a time, creating further delays. When it was finally my turn to enter, I was informed that all tables had been taken and that only standing room remained. I was allowed to look inside before deciding whether to stay. What I observed was particularly disappointing: many individuals who had not been ahead of me in line were already seated at tables. I have no idea how they got in but I suspect they were allowed in through some other entrance. After waiting more than two hours based on the information provided by the establishment, this felt unfair and misleading. Most disappointing was having invited friends to join me for the match, only to have the experience ruined by what appeared to be poor planning and inadequate crowd management. The demand for a major World Cup match should not have come as a surprise. If the venue anticipated significant attendance, additional seating, staffing, and clear communication should have been put in place. This was one of the most poorly managed event experiences I have encountered. At a minimum, I believe the ownership should publicly acknowledge what occurred and apologize to the many customers who invested hours of their time only to be left without the accommodations they were promised. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

My friend and I split the love bug and it was disappointing. It tasted fruity, but watered down and it felt like there was barely an alcohol in it. I also tasted my other friends' drinks which were also not good. The raspberry beret and the peach paloma were both bitter and not pleasant tasting.   For food, the only decent thing was the buldak. It was cheesy and I liked how they infused the corn cheese into it. The chicken was good and juicy. The tteokkbokki was weird. Firstly, they didn't include the parmesan crisps as they mentioned in the menu. Secondly, the sauce was different compared to other tteokkbokki sauces I'm used to. It was dark red in color, soupy, and oily which I did not like. Thirdly, the rice and fish cakes themselves were very unique in shape. The cakes and sausages weren't that bad and the textures were good, but the sauce was just not it.  Lastly, the ramen was such a scam. For $15, it was just regular shin ramyeon with some mussels, jalapenos and peppers added. For all the food dishes, the portions were all small relative to the price and were not great for sharing in big groups.   The interior was spacious and vibes were decent. The music from the DJ booth was good. The photobooth wasn't working when we visited which was a minus because my friends and I like the photobooths. There's a free and private parking lot next to the pocha which can get filled.   Overall, not the greatest experience at this pocha mostly because of the food and drinks and I would probably not visit again.
