Absolutely our go to place for a gorgeous dinner before a show at the Pantages. Patio is gorgeously full of greenery - equipped with fans and heat lamps - depending on the outside temperature, of course. Food and service was spot on. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and we had plenty of extra time to enjoy a couple of desserts before our show.

Loved that Running Goose has maintained their integrity of serving great tasting food and beers. I highly recommend and suggest trying a variety of items in the menu

I made a reservation for an hour before they close and we walked over and were seated relatively quickly. We asked for a seat with a heater nearby but they were full and didn't have one available. We sat and ordered our food and then they informed us a table opened up near a heater! We were quickly switched. The outside seating is cute with lights and a patio cover over the area. It's relatively small though in general so I can imagine on a busy night how packed it could get. We started with calamari, pork belly pincho and tostadas. The calamari was good but small portions. The pork belly pincho was amazing it had some tamarind sauce which had a bbqish flavor and it was soo tender but crispy on the outside. I just wish it came with more but we ended up ordering 2 of them. The other people in our party got their food first and I was waiting for my steak to come out but it came out undercooked like almost raw inside so I politely asked if they could send it back to fix it. As I was waiting for them to bring it back out I tried some of the duck and omg I wish I ordered that instead. The steak was underwhelming but oh god everything else was just immaculate. The servers were all so sweet and attentive. TBH even though my steak was undercooked and underwhelming I'd be back in a heartbeat because that duck and everything else we had was amazing.

Cutest little restaurant - Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner before a show as its only a couple blocks from the Pantages. My very picky eater LOVED the bake brie, the salmon burger, and the horchata creme brulee and my husband loved the hash. Good vegan options - the pesto vindaloo is delicious. Will come back again and again!

My friends and I went here for lunch before seeing Phantom at the Pantages. None of us had been before. We all enjoyed our dishes. I had the special - al pastor sandwich with fries, one friend had the chicken sandwich with side salad, and I think the other had the steak sandwich with side salad. Portions are generous. The fries are well done and very good. We ordered a pitcher of sangria. Service was good. Would go back if in Hollywood. We parked at a private lot nearby.

Stopped by The Running Goose for a quick bite and it was such a good find. From the outside you could easily miss it, but once you walk in and head to the back patio, it's this cute outdoor space full of plants that gives total Italian vibe. We ordered two appetizers, the lamb chops and the calamari, and the portions were perfect. Filling but not too heavy, and honestly went really well with a beer and a glass of Chardonnay. Staff was attentive and really kind the whole time. Parking was available but limited. Definitely a spot I would go back to for dinner or even lunch.

This place was so good. I really loved the burger, the rosemary fries, and they have a great selection of drinks. My waiter was a foodie and he recommended a sour that was so good. There is both an indoor and somewhat outdoor area, so if you want something, a little quieter and high-end or more of a sports bar, they have both. I love the twinkly lights outside too. The service was fantastic. They were all efficient. I was on crutches so they sent me right away in a close spot surrounding area areas were so annoying and loud and nobody ever approached me the way this business did. They do it right.

Family run business. Great food, service and ambiance. Cute outdoor patio that's nicely decorated. Clean. Kind and friendly service. Close proximity to The Pantages Theater. The food is amazing! Pretty presentation and delicious.

A special place. We decided to spend a special occasion here. We were lucky Superbowl was taking place so less people out and about and restaurant was pretty empty. Got seated immediately and food came out in under 10 minutes. Once again staff is good and patient at explaining their menu. Customer service is good. Loved my steak and eggs. My bf loved his beet salad, two toastadas and fried calamari. If this is your first time or you haven't even tried it before you got to try their toastadas. We love this place and like telling people about it.

I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant that transmits you to Europe when you walk into the patio area. 10/10!!!!!! The service was excellent and I felt taken care of in my experience here. THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the gambas, calamari, and bacalao as an appetizer and they were all really good. ESPECIALLY THE GAMBAS!!!! LITERALLY THE BEST IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. So simple but also soooo delicious -- please try it! Overall, if you're in Hollywood, come to Running Goose. It's now my favorite restaurant in LA !

Delicious food. Adorable back patio. Walking distance to Oantages - it was perfect. I would definitely dine here again.

Easy 5 stars. I'm honestly shocked this place exists. The Running Goose is global comfort food done at a level you don't expect walking in. Started with the grilled brie -- wow. No idea what magic was going on there but it was insane. Then the smoked potatoes... that sauce was unreal, like spoon-it-straight addictive. The gambas came out sizzling with garlic, sweet cherry tomatoes, and perfectly cooked shrimp -- and that dipping bread... unreal, soaking up every drop. Then the mains... short rib and duck. Both ridiculous. The short rib was fall-apart tender with a sauce so good I was literally eating it by the spoon. The duck? Same story -- crispy, juicy, balanced, just dialed in. And honestly, once the food starts hitting like that, you already get excited for dessert because you know you're leaving satisfied. We went with the bread pudding and the crème brûlée -- both exactly how you want to end a meal like this. Every single dish hit. No misses. Already planning my next visit to go through the entire menu.

The service is very nice and personable, but we didn't enjoy the food tremendously. Went here before the pantages matinee on Saturday. The baked : roasted Bree was very exciting as it was sizzling as it came to the table, but I really didn't enjoy either of the toast which was cracker consistency or the apricot jam.. the flavors were just not a good mix for me. The brie was totally melted and really there was not much flavor there. I had the wild boar hash and it really just tasted like regular pork. There was nothing spectacular about it although it was well done and the egg was good. My dining companion had the Chilaquiles. She remarked that it was more like a bowl than regular chilaquiles , which would have a lot more chips in it.

Is this place gluten free-celiac friendly!?

Hi there. I found several items that are gluten free. My daughter has issues with gluten but it causes discomfort not a medical issue.…

    Is the is pet friendly?

    Yes, we’re pet friendly.

Do they still have a happy hour?

    Are all the tables outside?

Hi, we also have indoor dining.

Are reservations required or do they take walk-ins? Hoping to go Saturday around 6pm.

Reservations aren't required, but it might be worth making one on a Saturday at that time. A lot of people eat at Running Goose before shows on Saturday night.

Are there any TVs to watch a game? Is there a bar?

    I don't recall seeing a TV or a bar.

    Is there outdoor seating?

    Yes, they have a patio.

I went here a few weeks ago but when I went last week it was closed and they aren't answering their phone. Are they actually open?

    What time is dinner served?

Happy hour is daily 12-6 pm. They start dinner at 6:00 pm, but they're on limited days right now.

Okay for my adventurous eating 11 year old?

    Sure.

    Is this place dog friendly?

    Yes!

What are their hours for weekend brunch?

Until 6 pm, as of 11/13/17

When is Happy Hour? I saw it mentioned in a few reviews but do not see hours listed.

As of January 2018, happy hour ends at 6p.

It was a little less than that. Line moves fairly well and it was in the shade. Getting a table was no problem. Food started coming out fairly soon after and came out in waves. For 2 we ordered: Small guac and chips - very fresh and good. Not spicy and not too much lime juice. Just good, solid, fresh, basic guacamole Erizo (uni) with the scallops - delish. Uno and scallops so fresh. Scallops are in a ceviche-style sauce under those beautiful sea urchins. Tostada de atún - also very good. Everything chopped perfectly. Not too much heat - some red onion in there. Ceviche of yellowtail - a big portion! Enough for more than two people for sure. Comes with side of tostada-type crispy tortillas Fish taco - I really enjoyed it. Light fry, crema, tomato, lime Kanpachi collar (grilled)- comes on a big plate with tomatoes, avocado, beans and rice in a little bowl on side, fresh blue corn tortillas - my partner said this was his favorite thing. Sparkling lemonade in a jar - great!! Fresh and light and not too sweet. Overall, worth the hype. I was worried it had been so built up in my mind it wouldn't be worth the line and everything but it was great and would come back (and will!!) It's in a food court-type setting so you aren't getting a quiet, service oriented experience. But if you know that going in, you'll be fine. Don't stress about not finding a table.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and did an excellent job all evening. After looking at the menu we decided what we wanted. We started with the guacamole chips and salsa. The chips were okay. We both had the ribeye steak, Sheri had to Costillo and I had the Gaucho. We both loved our steak as they were both tender and flavorful. For the Gaucho, I really enjoyed the Anaheim pepper and other accoutrements and we'll get this the next time as well. The meal includes two sides. We both had mashed potatoes and I had a salad and she had asparagus. We had a server in training who was very attentive as well as the supervising server. We sat in the patio, which was nice. There was plenty of room very nice ambience. Relatively easy street parking. It was a nice visit for both of us. We will be back for sure.

The very first thing our server asked wasn't what we wanted to drink or if we'd ever been there before--it was, "Are you guys here to watch the game?" We immediately told him, "No, we're here for the food." Looking back, that should've been the first warning sign. They brought out fresh bread with chimichurri, and honestly, it was delicious. It got us excited because we thought- maybe this place really did deserve the hype. That excitement lasted about five minutes. We asked our server what everyone comes here for, and without hesitation he said the skirt steak. Since we wanted to try their specialty- meats, we ordered the Plato Mixto, one of their premium platters. It came with skirt steak, New York steak, Argentine "Italian" sausage, half a chicken, and sweetbreads. It's already one of the most expensive items on the menu, yet they still upcharge an extra $4 per side, if you want one of the "premium" sides. At that price, you'd expect everything to be included and quality to be exceptional. For the sides, we chose the grilled veggies, which the server said included eggplant, zucchini, tomato, onions, mushrooms - basic veggie mix and LALAs Potatoes, described as "Mashed Potatoes & Carrots." We figured that meant mashed potatoes served with carrots, or maybe mashed potatoes with pieces of carrot mixed in. Instead, it was one orange puree--mashed potatoes blended together with carrots. No flavor. If that's what you're serving, just describe it that way. The menu there was very misleading. Then came the sweetbreads. We had to ask our server twice what they actually were because he couldn't explain it clearly. Eventually he described them as "lymph nodes." Whether that's technically accurate or not, that's probably not what anyone expects to hear after taking a bite. Then we actually started eating. The Argentine sausage had a strange, almost spoiled flavor. When we mentioned it, instead of acknowledging our concern, our server doubled down and told us it was supposed to taste "rancid." I've eaten authentic Argentine food before. This wasn't it. It tasted like bad meat. The steaks were no better. We ordered medium rare, but the skirt steak was practically purple raw in the middle. Beyond that, both steaks were unbelievably tough. Every bite was a workout. For a restaurant that's supposed to specialize in grilled meats, that's inexcusable. Very low quality red meat. The chicken didn't save the meal either. I've had incredible pollo a la brasa and grilled chicken from plenty of places. This wasn't even close. It was bland, dry, and completely forgettable. When our server came back and asked how everything was, we were honest. We told him we really weren't enjoying the food. Instead of apologizing, offering another option, or trying to make things right, he doubled down again. "That's my favorite thing on the menu." Okay...and? Then he told us to squeeze a bunch of lemon over everything and brought us what felt like half a bottle of Tabasco. Think about that for a second. If the solution to your signature meats is to drown them in lemon and hot sauce just to make them edible, that's not a customer problem--that's a kitchen problem. By that point, it all clicked. The first thing he cared about was whether we were there to watch the game. We told him we came for the food, but the entire experience felt like the food was an afterthought. The service wasn't interested in listening to our concerns, only defending them. This place may be great if you're looking for drinks, sports on TV, and somewhere to hang out. But if you're coming because you've heard this is the place for authentic Argentine meats, prepare to be disappointed. The meats were tough. The sausage tasted off. The menu descriptions were misleading. The service felt more like a used car salesman trying to convince us our experience was wrong than someone who genuinely cared whether we enjoyed our meal. I don't write reviews to tear places down. I write them to help other people spend their money wisely. In this case...save yours. There's far better places to try authentic Argentine cuisine, this is not it, would not return.

I had heard so many good things about Pollo a la Brasa, so I finally decided to give it a try…read moretoday. Starting with the positives: the food is delicious. I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and gave me the kind of authentic Latin food vibes that I love. The sauce was definitely the highlight for me--it was so good that I found myself adding it to every bite. The prices are also fantastic. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

Wow. This place is incredible…read more I had never tried Peruvian food before, so I decided to walk into Inti Peruvian Restaurant since it's right in my neighborhood, literally just a block away. There were a lot of people inside, but still a few open tables, so no wait. That was my first sign this place was going to be good. It had that perfect buzz where people are clearly enjoying their food, the energy is up, and the whole space just feels alive. The music was amazing too, super groovy and instantly put me in a good mood. When the woman working thcame over, I told her I'd never had Peruvian food before and mentioned that I like vegetables and shrimp. She immediately said, "I know exactly what to get you," which I loved. I trusted her completely and I'm so glad I did. She brought out the dish (photo attached), and WOW. The flavor was so rich and delicious. I literally inhaled it. It had this perfect mix of comfort and bold flavor with shrimp, rice, vegetables, and even fries worked in there in a way that just made sense. I also ordered a small side salad, which ended up being the perfect balance. It added that fresh, light contrast to the warm, homey main dish. The vibes were great, the service felt personal, and the food completely exceeded my expectations. Definitely coming back and I can't wait to try more dishes.
