As a tourist visiting San Diego I was in the mood for some açaí and stumbled upon this place via TikTok. I ordered myself a dragon bowl and was extremely surprised. The bowl delicious, the cashier was extremely personable, and the wait wasn't very long at all. Overall would definitely recommend especially if making your way towards the beach. read more

Rush Bowls has entered the SD market with a location that recently opened in PB. It's a national chain featuring acai and smoothie bowls. The suite it inherited has seen multiple beverage and dessert vendors pass through its doors. Perhaps a business with a health and wellness focus will be more successful in the long term. Parking on this block was all curbside. The inside had a few tables for seating. It was a pet friendly environment. I believe the owners have multiple dogs that were painted as a mural on the right wall when you walked in. The menu screens hung on the left wall. The categories were divided into Destination, Wellness, and Endurance with bowls and smoothies available under each one. Bowls cost $12.99, and smoothies were $10.99. Toppers and boosts were $1 each, and alternative milk choices were also $1 extra. The Jungle bowl was my selection. The base contained strawberry, banana, pineapple, coconut, orange juice, and guava juice. The toppers were granola, honey, and one choice (blueberries were my pick). Within a few minutes the bowl was finished being prepared by a worker. No pre-made bases were used which was positive, and the serving size was plentiful. If anything, it overfilled the rim to the point in which the honey was dripping on to the table where I sat and tried to consume some of the contents. The blueberries were fresh and made a nice topping. I am hopeful that Rush Bowls will draw enough customer traffic as the product I tried was at a level between four and five stars. read more

I'm honored to be the first to rave and share my Rush Bowls experience on day 5 of their opening. I've tried açaí bowls all over, but this place is in a league of its own. The quality of the ingredients is clearly top-tier and I say this because they showed me their kitchen. Pomegranate in the açaí bowl? Yes please! Everything is & tastes incredibly fresh and natural. But the real star of the show? The peanut butter. It is hands-down the best I've ever had; perfectly creamy and made in-house. Beyond the food, the customer service is excellent. Such a great spot! You can really taste the difference with the quality of the ingredients. I've been seeing Rush Bowls on my TikTok feed and been wanting to try. My friend and I decided to drive up to Pacific Beach to give this place a try. We walked in 15 minutes before closing and Adrian was so welcoming and friendly he gave us great recommendations. Oh boy! The bowls were sooooo good! Come try Rush bowls here @ 1418 Garnet Ave. They are the best place to have your favorite acai or smoothies as a snack or dessert. It is healthy and extremely delicious. The service here is amazing, the staff are extremely friendly. They are also dog friendly so you can bring your best friend along for a treat. The vibe is incredible and atmosphere is marvelous. You can go to the gym, take a walk with friends family, walk your dogs while enjoying your favorite snack, or even enjoy pacific beach that is just down a couple blocks down. Great new spot! Generous portions and tons of options. Sweet cream cold brew was perfect. The Chocolate Covered Strawberry bowl was a big hit. We also got a bowl that was half Beach & half High Tide. (special request they accommodated) One thing to note is the consistency is not thick like most places that serve straight out of a premade bucket. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.
