Nice place. I like my açaí bowls less blended so it was t my favorite. That said, bowl was tasty and they have lots of good healthy options.

This place was awesome! I could not believe how many menu choices there were; cannot wait to go back to try some more. I had the graham berry bowl and I loved it. Five words: peanut butter and jelly bowl. This was so delicious and it was filling without making me feel overstuffed and gross. The smoothie base followed by the topping of delicious granola and their in house freshly ground peanut butter was exceptional- not to mention the delicious jelly. My friend got one of the berry bowls that she loved as well, it's great to have a healthy option with fresh ingredients. Definitely worth the price. read more

I have been coming to this location since its opening and have always had a pleasant time. I am unsure if they are under new management but the customer service I received has left a horrible taste in my mouth. The sheer disrespect & microaggression shown to me this morning is unacceptable. The employee at the register was completely rude. When I came in, he rudely yelled that they had a big order before mine and I would be waiting about 10 minutes before he got to take my order. I was okay with the waiting time, but he insisted that it would be a long wait. No one was in there outside of myself and the 2 employees. He began barking orders at the other employee as if the other young man was incompetent to do his job. After my wait, he finally took my order with a snappy attitude as if I was inconveniencing him. I have a $1 off card I was gifted from the owner when the shop first opened he said the card was reusable because it had no expiration date. I presented it to the guy at the register and he tried to take it claiming they no longer honor it. He tried to keep my card. I explained the card and he gave me the discount and returned my card. When giving him my money he asked if I had exact change. I handed him $20 for a $10.50 purchase. HE asked for my extra dollar so he can give me an even 10 but still had to give me change. He had to get more quarters from the back and just put my 50 cents on the counter instead of my hand. When he finally started making my bowl, he stopped to talk to someone on his apple pods. Once mixing my bowl he asked if I need a lid and I said yeah. He popped on the lid without adding my agave. He then asked me did I need a bag and I replied yes. He put the bag on the counter and told me the napkins and spoons are in front of me and walked off. As long as this location has been open in my community, I have never felt as belittled and unwelcome the way I did today. In the days prior to me entering the store, I had seen a few women in workout clothes walking the street with their bowl. Clearly, I had to go there after a workout; so I did. I wouldn't describe these yogurt bowls as healthy, but rather, a feel good treat. At $8 you get maybe 10oz of yogurt with mix-ins (such as matcha, mango, banana, apple, cinnamon, etc) and granola. And a ton of honey. Given that you just paid so much for the yogurt, you may as well sit in the store and study all day, which is what it seemed like the women hanging around the store were doing. Although I found this overpriced, it was very refreshing and I found myself craving a Rush bowl a few days later. So beware, they may be addictive. read more

I feel like I should be furious, but I'm so flustered I can only laugh. Here's my first and hopefully last Yelp review I do.. I don't even know where to start so I'll go in chronological order. 1. I asked her if I can change the base of a smoothie bowl, because I was allergic to something, and she said no. So I just chose something different. 2. We asked for the student discount, because that applies from 4PM-close. She said no.. 3. After waiting twenty minutes (they weren't busy), the lady comes up and asks us what we ordered so casually and unapologetically... 4. She messes up and blends the plastic spatula in my friend's dragon bowl base. Definitely felt bad for her because some of it exploded on her face. 5. She walks up to us ten minutes later and gives us half filled, clearly not finished blending smoothies. We tell her we ordered a bowl and she stares unapologetically at us, shrugs, gives us the cups and tells us she can refund us. 6. We were so flustered after waiting for 40 minutes now, but still felt bad for her so we just walk up to the counter to get our refund... but then she changes her mind and tells us it's just going to be a discount... 7. We still decide to be patient, but then she struggles finding how to give us this "discount." She just looks up at us and says "yeah so it'll just go back to your cards." It never did. 8. We walk out mind blown trying to understand what happened, as my friend finds pieces of the plastic spatula she grinded into his drink. We all have bad days at work, but this is beyond bad luck. This place is okay! I find that the bowls and smoothie is more of a dessert/treat than it is a meal replacement. I like that the bowls are not soupy but definitely cold and more on the sherbet side in terms of consistency. I tried the Graham Berry bowl with added banana and a scoop of the house made peanut butter. The bowls itself wasn't overly sweet which Okay with me. The sweetness came from the honey that's drizzled on top and the graham cracker. They are overly generous with the toppings so be on the look out for the extra carbs. As for the fruit in bowl, nothing really came through as the star ... a bit bland. Although I am interested in the other flavors, I'm not in a hurry to come back but I will return. The customer service was great. The two young ladies were awesome! I found them to be very engaging! Not a lot of seating inside but if it's nice out, you'd want to eat these treats outside anyways. Solid bowls but the quality is hit or miss. I've been here a lot over the past couple of months but the quality of food and service is never the same. The portions are generous but sometimes they are very slow and I have had a couple of soupy bowls. Usually due to then doubling up a bowl in one blender, creating a first bowl that is nice and thick and a soupy second bowl that settles in the bottom. Overall a decent bowl but nothing special. There really isn't anything better than a smoothie in the summer. I have one about twice a week, and though I usually stick to smoothies from the same places, am willing to branch out and try somewhere new. I've passed Rush Bowls quite a few times since they opened. The $6.50 price point had always deterred me until I found out that that's for a 24oz smoothie, which seemed like a fair price. I played it safe and got a mango smoothie (my favorite) and asked for the Jimmy Buffet. Now here's what I wasn't expecting; despite the fresh fruit I saw going in the blender, the smoothie did not taste good. I was shocked when I took a sip and not only didn't taste mango, but didn't taste much of anything. Although I appreciate the taste of fresh fruit and don't like smoothies that taste like dessert, this one definitely needed some sweetener. When I asked for sweetener, they said it costs a dollar extra. Most places I've gotten smoothies from have sugar and honey sitting out for you to use as you please. The cashier offered to make me a different smoothie, but said that I'd find the same lack of sweetness in the rest, and that once again honey will be a dollar extra. I was also offered my money back. So, let me get this straight. You'll make me another smoothie, will give me my money back, but can't add sweetener to an already made smoothie? Okay, I'll gladly have my money back. I lived in Denver where I discovered açaí bowls and after moving to the Midwest, had been unable to find a place with them. I was delighted to see Rush Bowls open in StL and it is hands down my go to place for a quick, healthy meal. Not only are the bowls fantastic, but their smoothies are incredible with tons of ways to customize what is you want in the smoothie: protein powder, kale, down to the type of liquid base you want for the smoothie. On top of it all, the people that work there are simply awesome. This place is as mentioned above, a Go To for me when I want something delicious, refreshing and of course, healthier than the typical options around town. Highly recommend it. read more

I went in yesterday at 4pm to get a smoothie post workout and was informed that they were not taking any new orders for 45 minutes when the new shift employees got there. I've tried Rush Bowls a couple of times to give it a fair chance, but after four visits I can only think of one word to describe these bowls and smoothies: bland. I'm not sure how it's possible, with all of the ingredients that go into these. But everything I've had has been bland with typically one flavor note. If it has any peanut butter that's all you taste, but a sort of watered down flavor version. One example would be the James and the Giant Peach, it tasted like banana. The Super Smoothie tasted like watered down peanut butter flavor. PB & J Bowl, completely tasteless except for the bit of jelly and peanut butter on top. I think the problem is the amount of frozen yogurt put in. I tried to test this theory by ordering without since it is optional, but when I've attempted doing that it found its way into it anyway. Or they might just be using ice as filler, but the consistency is identical. Either way, you end up with a bland smoothie or bowl. The price isn't horrible, average about $7 or $8 per meal, and the service is always good and fast. I really wanted to like this place since I live so close, but I likely won't be back. read more

Was excited to try this out as I'm a fan of acai bowls. Walked in, very loud due to the acoustics but not their fault. Placed our orders, acai bowls. What came out is basically a smoothie base consisting of acai and fruit in a bowl with granola sprinkled on top. An awful interpretation of acai bowls I've had at several places across the country. Normally it's a pure acai base which is thicker than a smoothie and closer to soft serve consistency, with sliced fruit and other toppings arranged on top of the base. I'm a huge peanut butter fan and ordered the PB&J bowl... very disappointed. The peanut butter and jelly were just lobbed on top; they didn't mix with the strawberry frozen yogurt base at all. The fine-grained granola did not work well with the grainy texture of the peanut butter, and the entire bowl turned into a soupy sort of thick, flavorless milk two minutes after I ordered it. Would not recommend this item, and I really don't understand why it's marketed as a fan favorite. Not worth the $9. read more
