I have mostly positive things to say about our experience. The decor is super cute and our food came up really fast and tasted very fresh. Good bread, a solid hamburger, and freshly cut french fries that really hit the spot. The only complaint I would have would be the service. Everybody is really young and just sits around on their phones. The gal who was checking us out had no idea what she was doing and got our order wrong and it was as though she had never been trained. This restaurant needs some serious help with the staff and food quality. The name is cute and decor makes you think it's going to be great. This was my 3rd time here and probably the last. I really wanted it to be different this time. The food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered a turkey sandwich which had one slice of turkey, small piece of cheese and literally 2 pieces of arugula on the hardest driest roll that cuts your mouth. Loved this spot for a good breakfast. The bread is so fresh, I could hear it crackling when it came from the oven. The avocado on my toast was hefty and perfectly ripe. The whole thing is great. I bought a loaf of bread to go and ate pieces on the way home. I can't wait to go back! read more

Interior was alright but the food I ordered was disappointing. I got the Mac and cheese to-go and it it tasted like the Kraft box mac n cheese and was also cold? They threw in 3 slices of bread with the Mac n cheese I'm guessing for presentation but the bread tasted as if it was out for a while. This was the honestly the best pizza place I ever been two this was like 2 weeks ago I went in to go get pizza with all of my friends there was a line but it was quick. When we started ordering pizza we said pepperoni pie. Then we sat down we waited about 10 minutes or so. When the pizza came it smelled delicious I could not waited a any more so I took about 1 and the piece where big so I was not hungry anymore after that. Now I read some of the reviews and I was a little bit hesitant to try this place. But today I ventured out. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad and was charged for it but I have no chicken on my salad. The lettuce was warm. There were enough people working I think four and maybe three customers in the place so I don't understand how they forgot my chicken on my grilled chicken salad. I really wanted to love this place. It's very cute and smells wonderful but the food was just not great. I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich which was completely disappointing. The panini was barely grilled, cheese not even melted, and bland. It consisted of mayo, turkey, avocado and flavorless cheddar cheese. I ordered it go so I'm not sure if maybe there was mustard that I missed. Just could have used more flavor. It came with a side of house made potato chips which would have been amazing if they weren't over cooked and had a slight burnt taste. The few that weren't over done were delicious, would definitely have loved more of those! read more

I came here a few months ago and had a great bagel and coffee. So I return today with a few of my friends... Our first Coffee was so cold we had to send it back the 2nd cup that they replaced it with was lukewarm. We did not want to complain again at that point so we just drank it. When the girl came over with someone's bagel, I told her it might be a good idea to check the temperature of the coffee machine. Then after 20 minutes or so one of us went back to get some thing else and came back with a steaming cup of coffee so I went up and got one myself. I asked the girl about it and she said yes the coffee temperature had been turned down. TO THE OWNER: INSTEAD OF TEACHING PEOPLE TO ONLY WORK THE CASH REGISTER, TRY A BIT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE: SHE SHOULD HAVE COME BACK TO OUR TABLE AND SAID THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE COFFEE MACH AND REPLACED ALL OUR COFFEES. My biggest complaint with this shop is: How hard is it to ask a customers name and write it on a coffee cup? When you pour the cup of coffee for the customer all you have to do is call out their name. Instead this Shop will set your coffee on the counter and let it sit for 10 minutes and until you think , gee, maybe my coffee's ready? I'll up go check. Then you find it sitting there on the counter, now it's barely even hot. I won't be coming back there are too many better places in Coeur d'Alene. Thanks anyway! read more

We use to love this place last year, the customer service and food quality just isn't the same. We have been a couple time recently and it is just awful!! This last time I went I got a turkey and avocados sandwich and the avocado was brown they didn't even fish cooking it. I got my daughter Mac and cheese and it was cold and basically uncooked as well. read more

Ordered the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, sandwich.) pretty simple sandwich that took 20 minutes only to arrive with ONE slice of bacon, wilted lettuce and no avocado- they were out of avocado. So here is a tip for those taking orders, let the customer know you don't have part of the ingredients. You open up the sandwich and it's one slice of bacon, sloppy Mayo, one wilted lettuce and 2 tomatoes. Fortunately they refunded money but still super annoying and why I gave two stars. read more

The atmosphere is really inviting and trendy. Very cute. Great branding. Makes you feel they know what they are doing. We walked here from the resort for breakfast. My husband got the bagel breakfast sandwich w homemade chips. Very good. I shared the eggs, bacon, pancakes. Scrambled eggs were undercooked, pancake was not thick and gross, syrup was poured out of a big tub into small condiment cups. Not warmed or flavorful. Unless you prefer corn syrup. Bacon was good. Little details that are important... this is the era of pandemic. Best to hire a staff person to keep tables tidy, napkins stocked (multiple people requested as they were out) things looking clean. Pre pandemic some of this would be forgiven, now.... not so much. Tables were sticky and left to feel unkept. Half the team worse masks. Also, your very cute cookie jars were empty. Which made that adorable counter and window area look, blah. 3 stars because I believe there is potential. 2 stars because I don't think the young girls working there took much pride in this beautiful establishment. read more

The family and I ate breakfast here last week. Food was good-not exceptional, but it was average. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich which came with one egg, one slice of bacon, and cheese on an everything bagel. Bagel was very fresh and soft which I really liked. My husband ordered the breakfast panini, which he enjoyed. I did think it was odd that both of our breakfast sandwiches came with a side of kettle potato chips. Not that they tased bad (I actually only ate one) but eating chips in the morning is not my thing. I think a side of breakfast potatoes, or hash browns, or fruit should have been an option offered instead of potato chips. The decors was cute and perfectly "country" without the "cheesy" country you would normally see. Many of the tables were dirty - like they hadn't been wiped down. We attempted to sit at two different tables, but skipped both since there were crumbs left behind from, what we assume, was the day before, since we were there early in the morning. The stainless steal ice-machine/soda machine's side walls (that face the dining room) are filthy. They need a good wipe down and polish. We noticed workers sitting at a back table working on decor when the main focus should be the cleanliness of the restaurant. All that being said, the kitchen looked clean and managed well. So, that alone is why we would go back and give this place another try. read more

Handcrafted, made from scratch with love. Their paninis on fresh made bread are generously sized, and taste PHENOMENAL. Plus, adding bacon is free! I'm especially thrilled that they don't use soy (which I'm allergic to). They are obviously conscientious about making good food. Today is Memorial Day. I went into Rustic for a pizza between the Memorial Day ceremonies I was either attending or a part of because I am the VFW Auxiliary President. I was dressed in my Auxiliary uniform. The owner asked about my uniform. I told her about the day's events, which are many throughout the area. She told the cashier to not charge me as a thank for being the VFW Auxiliary President. That was so nice of her. I thanked her. Besides the fact that they have THE greatest pizza this side of the Rockies -- I'm originally from New Jersey where they have the best pizza -- I now know that they are patriotic and generous people. The owner also told me to let veterans in the VFW know that they give a Military discount. So those of you who are in the Military or who are Veterans, you can get a "thank you for serving" discount from the owners of Rustic pizza. Thank you, Rustic, for your generosity. read more

When we did, the fried zucchini was still frozen in the middle, the fries were mushy oil filled disasters and the cheese burger was extremely plain and under seasoned. I saw food delivered out here f order, which isn't such a big deal, but was run out to the wrong tables. Other times I saw people having to get something redone. There was little to nothing "rustic" about this place; the name conjured up too high of expectations for us. With already so few options on their menu for vegetarian/gluten free choices we were hoping they could accommodate with some form of "real food." Sadly, all we got was a plate of brown: sub-par, ho-hum fries (when I asked for a salad), a store-bought bun, and a nasty looking, microwaved store-bought Garden Burger. Yuck. The coffee? Cold. Expensive. And we've had better at any gas station. The bread itself, Rustic's shining star, was dry and crusty by any standard. Places like this capitalize on an abundance of tourists who don't demand high-quality, delicious food and just stop in based on a name and a "promise" of real, fresh food. But Rustic, by any other name, would still not be so sweet. read more
