Service was terrible. We ordered from the salad/wrap side and thought we ordered a wrap. The person who took our order didn't ask if we wanted a salad or wrap. We also ordered a burger and no where does it say it comes with fries, so we ordered 2 fries at $9 a side!!! Again, the person taking our order didn't say the burger comes with fries. The burger does come WITH fries and the wrap IS NOT a wrap but a salad. $14 for just veggies. Sent my daughter in for a couple baguettes for family soup night. She returned with 2 of the hardest burnt tasting baguettes I have ever tried. Worst part is she handed me back $9 change from a $20 bill. Over $5 a piece for the worst baguette I've ever had. I called to verify the price since no receipt was offered. It rang and rang the first time. I called again and the girl shouted DOGHOUSE. I told her i was trying to reach rustic. She said she was rustic and told me I was the doghouse. I assured her I was not a doghouse. She asked what I needed and I hung up. I don't have time for juvenile games and overpriced burnt bread. This is my favorite restaurant in Coeur d'Alene! I had the turkey avocado sandwich, and it was amazing. The ingredients were so fresh, and the service was fast. All the workers were so friendly and talkative. I love the TVs to watch while I was eating. Everyone in the restaurant seemed so happy with their food. They were very accommodating to any dietary needs of their customers. I definitely recommend this place as it has something for everyone! Loved the look of this restaurant! Great spot for lunch! We had the BLT and Turkey Avocado. Both sandwiches were tasty, and the pickle was my favorite!!! The chips left quite a bit to be desired. Had the Cali bagel and was surprised at how sloppy it was. I think they must use some kind of whipped cream cheese instead of the regular kind because it made it impossible to pick up the bagel sandwich. The garnish of oranges and strawberries was nice, but that was about it. read more

Love this place. We eat here virtually EVERY time we come to CDA. The food is good, they've got a few nice beers on tap, the staff is friendly and the owner's from good ol New York!!!! I'm from New York too so she n I will gab about it, which is always nice. The best part of that is that Rustic has the BEST New York quality pizza I have found since I Left New York 22 yrs ago. My daughter can't get enough of their pizza. And almost every time we go there, we wind up leaving with a loaf or two of their awesome bread. Can't say enough good things about this place. Now they need to open one up in Spokane and I will find more great things to say. Enjoy it! You'll be glad you went there. read more

I've only been here a couple of times, but I have not yet been disappointed. Much to the contrary, I have found everything about this bakery quite great. What I find to be the most interesting find is that their pizza is by far the best I've had in Coeur d'Alene so far, and I've been looking; even reheated it was leagues above anywhere else I've tried. My friend that I went with got a sandwich, apparently it was pretty fantastic as well. The service is quick and everyone there is quite nice, so I would certainly say it is definitely worth a try. Terrible breakfast. Only a few selections, because everything is pre-made. I ordered the oatmeal because everything else was so much food (3 eggs) and so bread-centric. The oatmeal was awful. The waitress warned me that the crock would be hot. Of course it was, that is the only thing that got hot in its 90 second pass through in the microwave. The oatmeal itself had a large lukewarm dry masses in the center like wallpaper paste, it was not fresh or uniformly heated, however, there was liquid surrounding it that was hot, which contributed to the suspicion that they threw oatmeal and water into a crock and microwaved it. It came with toast, which I probably wouldn't have eaten even if it had been good, but it was cold. If you like places where you eat with plastic utensils and paper cups, by all means come here. Be warned that the coffee barely counts as coffee. read more

Menu looked great, but was deceiving. Soup in a bread bowl is soup in a ceramic bowl with dry toast. You can tell a lot about a place by the quality of coffee served. First pot was the color of tea, I asked for a refund and they refused and said they'd make a new pot. $5 for 2 drips and another $2.50 for watery hot chocolate. Bitter and burnt. Strike 1. Breakfast menu is very limited, one plus is the fresh bread but that's where any pros end. One scrambled breakfast came out with no veg or cheese as asked, eggs were browned and did not get scrambled showing a lot of whites. Hash browns were hard to eat, over salted and greasy. Bacon wasn't even cooked fully. French toast so hard, forget trying to cut it with a plastic knife and fork plus your fresh fruit is green melon and 5 slices of banana all of which is a complete rip off. Third breakfast equally disappointing, egg and bacon panini. No grill marks on the panini, Brown/white eggs again and one slice of bacon in the entire sandwich. Strikes 2 & 3. Cheap quality, over priced for the quality of food and staff who were fowl mouthed and loud enough for all to hear. Cute concept, terrible food and extremely disappointing.
