We Decided to have breakfast-brunch in the area before heading back to Chicago and we were delighted to see that Ruth's Cafe had an extensive menu for all likings! Although it was 90 degrees outside, we sat outside and it was the perfect setting! Not under the sun yet still outside to take advantage of the summer! I ordered the Make your own omelette and my husband ordered the eggs with beef brisket. We absolutely loved both meals! My fruit was fresh and the cacha toast was delicious- thanks to the recommendation from our server! Our servers were great and the bill was reasonable!! We will definitely be back! read more

Three strikes and you're out Ruth! I tried it once more with a crab cake sandwich, which was ok but missing something, maybe some kind of sauce. I also had the lefsa for dessert but it was not at all sweet, just buttery bread for almost 5 bucks. So I'm done here. read more

Excellent food, cute decor, and friendly staff. I had the smoked salmon sandwich on sourdough, which was delicious and stuffed with twice the amount of salmon you get on the Patachou sandwich. My date had the quiche, which was good, but not as good as we are used to in Paris or, for that matter, from Serenity in Zionsville. The salad accompanying both meals was quite good, but not exciting. My one gripe is that we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get our order. This is unacceptable for a workday lunch, and forced my date to have to leave before I could finish. All in all, though, a good place to eat near the Mall, especially if you are not in a hurry. read more

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We waited 35m after ordering and still hadn't received our food or drink refills. Restaurant was unbearably hot. The waitress did apologize after I went and found her to ask where our food was but said it would be awhile longer so we left without getting anything. Over an hour wasted. read more

Fabulous lunch!!! My dil had the Brie LT and raved about the chibbata bread and roasted tomato soup. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was very good. Why did it take so long for me to discover this place! The decoupage chairs, whimsical decor but more importantly the waitstaff - SUPERB! If you are lucky enough to meet Matt - this guy is incredible as he never forgets you! I was having a meeting here and I believe he saw it going a bit tense and Matt appeared on his own with desserts as he stated "you always eat salads - live a little" and boy did I! Their salted Carmel brownies - smack your mama good! The many versions of "not your mamas" grilled cheeses, homemade soups, daily scrambles, and incredible combos of sandwiches - there is no other place in Indy like this. I could eat here 5 days a week! Do not miss this - I promise it will become one of your favorites also! read more

This is an adorable cafe. Both decor and atmosphere are on point. We went on a Saturday morning so it was busy and our food did take a while, but our waitress was nice and helpful in suggesting entrees. There are several tea options and the omelet was delicious! The staff has always been friendly and the food has always been delicious. You can always get breakfast or lunch. I want the old Ruth's back... this restaurant has really changed. It used to have a local feel and I always thought the food was excellent. Now they have the same scramble of the week every week, they only cook your food to the chef's liking, and nothing taste fresh. I don't know what's happening here but with all the competition coming to the neighborhood Ruth's needs to get it together. read more

As good as breakfast or brunch can get. My wife and I visited the area and like to try local places when we eat. The staff was very pleasant, and personable. The decor is interesting to say the least. We loved the atmosphere. I had the Traitor, which is eggs Benedict over a potato pancake. Wow! It came with a salad, and nice big chunks of shaved parmesan cheese on the salad, not the powdered junk. My wife had a giant pancake, that was also very good. Let me start by saying I didn't have breakfast here, I wanted to but I couldn't on this particular morning. I did have coffee and coffee cake and both were solid. Our server was awesome too. First time for breakfast and I had the best breakfast ever! Have driven by a thousand times and never stopped. So glad i went here finally. I had the Ruth's Crab Benedict. First of all the crab tasted fresh and amazing the hollandaise was great and the egg was perfectly cooked. My friend had the half order of chorizo biscuits and gravy and lefke which is a Norwegian dish with a flat crepe/pancake with fruit inside. I know want to go back and try all of the items. By far the best restuarant biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The tomato and basil soup with homemade grilled cheese was also delcious. I wanted to like this place... my sister recommended it and everyone else really liked it on here, and so I had high expectations. I don't really understand why I don't like the food... I don't know if it was the day I came or if it's just me but I thought the food was normal and a little below average. My fiancé got some egg and sausage platter and I got the biscuits and gravy along with one huge pancake with strawberry syrup. My fiancé's dish was bland.. very bland. We only tasted the oil in the dish. The biscuits and gravy were also very average. The biscuits were dry even though they were smothered and the taste of the gravy was subtle with large chunks of sausage. Nothing special to the taste. The pancake was okay. I think Lincoln Square has better pancakes. The pancakes here are too sweet. The strawberry syrup was also too sweet and gives an absolute sweetness overload when poured onto the pancake. I probably wouldn't revisit this place. The service was also kind of slow and the place wasn't that busy when we came. read more

Flipping amazing. I was a little hesitant about this place because it sounded like a hole in the wall that could be good or could be terrible. I was delighted to have one of the best meals of my life. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated at 1 on a Sunday, so that wasn't bad at all. The decor is a little hipster-kitchy, which is fun and colorful with lots of cute things to look at. We couldn't decide on just one item each so my husband and I ordered cheesecake pancakes, original lefse (just cinnamon and butter), half order of biscuits and gravy, and a bacon pancake. Where do I start? Every bite was amazing. The bacon pancakes weren't as salty as I'd expected but the pancake itself was so super fluffy and delicious that the bacon was just a nice hint of flavor. I liked it best with some of the sausage gravy - probably the best I've ever had (and I LOVE sausage gravy). There was more gravy than biscuit, as is proper; the biscuits were nice and sturdy and didn't turn to mush under the gravy. I'd never had lefse before and I loved the chewy texture and mild flavors. I wish I'd gotten the nutella/banana lefse - but considering how much food we brought home, it's probably better that we didn't. And finally, the absolute best part of the meal: cheesecake pancakes. We brought home more than half of the plate and I am already looking forward to having them for dinner. So sweet, with creamy cheesecake and strawberry butter that tastes like real fruit, not artificial flavoring. Those pancakes were beyond delicious! The place was pretty crowded but we had good service. My only quibble was that I could taste artificial sweetener in the hot chocolate, which I don't care for, but the real whipped cream on top totally made up for it. I can't wait to go back and try more from this amazing menu. Ruth's is definitely my new favorite restaurant. read more

Ruth's Keystone Cafe has fun food and amazing decor! I went for brunch a couple times with friends and have always had fun. The menu has a wide selection, including some unusual items (I recommend the cheesecake pancakes!). The wait staff is friendly, and it didn't take very long to be seated. While we waited for our orders, we had a great time looking at the hilarious signs (most of which are for sale) and fun kitchen decorations. Everything from the themed chairs to the coffee mug tree was incredible! It's worth going in just for the fun vibe, but I'd return for the food alone.
